Loved the beautiful location. Did not leave for three days. Enjoyed listening to the waves and the stunning view. Three days if rest and recuperation from three weeks of traveljng. Kitchen fully stocked. Gillian was awesome. Would stsy again. Reasonably priced.
Comfy and cosy. Owner v pleasant and onhand to sort any queries immediately. Beautiful location on the coast road, but you are right on the road and its not easy to get on and off parking area. The property was fine but just needs a bit of an update and attention to a few details.

The coach house loft
This property is very tired and in need of a big upgrade . It is opposite a disappointing beach which is not user friendly and the house is right on an extremely dangerous busy and fast road which is lethal to walk down .
Rhona, myself and our two dogs Betty and Syd thoroughly enjoyed our week. Everything that we needed was there and Gillian was very helpful. We will be back again
This cottage has such a convenient location between sites on the Antrim coast and activities closer to Belfast. It was easy to find and get on and off the road. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and the host had some good tips for touring when she welcomed us.
Well equipped cottage on the coast road , lucky enough to see seals swim past one evening
Perfect accomodation to explore the antrim coast road, own transport preferable.
Very well maintained property providing an authentic Irish experience, lighting the fire for a cosy
Location was ideal for touring the Antrim Coast area and amenities to hand in Carnlough either driving or walking. Was a very relaxing and enjoyable break away.
This cottage was very comfortable with everything we needed for our four night stay near the Antrim Glens. The view across to the Mull of Kintyre was fabulous, made even better when a large pod of dolphins swam by early one evening - thanks to our very helpful host, Gillian, for the heads up that this was about to happen! We felt very much at home here.
One of the beds was broken. Wi Fi did not work properly. There was no washing machine. The apartment is isolated, and it's not possible to go anywhere walking.

I am sorry to hear your negative feedback. I was unaware that a bed was broken until reading your review and this will be rectified. The apartment is rural and due to the location wifi is not fast and only suitable for basic internet access.Unfortunately this is out of my control. The apartment is an excellent base for exploring The Causeway Coast and Glens and a car is necessary. You would also have been aware that there is no washing machine at the premises prior to booking. I hope you enjoyed your stay in Northern Ireland

A beautiful quiet spot to relax and unwind
We booked 3 nights in the Coachhouse loft apartment and loved the quaintness and character of the building. Simply cross the road to be on the seashore. The kitchen was adequately equipped to self cater and Carnlough is only about 4kms away to get basic groceries. The bed was comfy, the sitting room had everything one could want entertainment wise and everything was clean and well maintained. It is also well situated for local attractions such as the Rope Bridge and Giants Causeway. Couldn’t be happier with our stay here.

Lovely, very comfortable, clean warm and homely.
The building doesn't give much away but the loft apartment is really lovely, cosy and comfortable and clean . On a clear night the stars are fabulous (no light pollution) and you can hear the sea from the apartment. A great spot for touring around.

Beautiful and cosy
A warm welcome by the owner. We where also left basics (bread milk eggs and butter) to get started which was a lovely treat. The apartment it's self was beautiful and cosy with the fire lit. And the views from the front of the property where stunning. Was a lovely winters getaway and would make a wonderful place to enjoy a summers stay. The apartment is a short drive from the nearest town/village and makes a great base for exploring northern ireland. Would highly recommend and with it being a dog friendly accommodation hard to beat.
Thank you so much for the use of the rental we hope to book again with you in the future.

We had a great stay at the coach house. Gillian had decorated the apartment, ent with nice Christmas decorations which gave a warm feeling. The location is right at the sea which is nice. For the long nights we got a good set of dvd,s to watch. Unfortunately we had to leave after two days. Next time I would stay longer. Thanks 4 everything Gillian. Best regards, dirk-Jan

A pleasant flat on the Antrim coast
The living room and bedroom are reasonably spacious and well decorated. Although the bedroom window looks directly onto the main coast road, traffic noise was not intrusive. The friendly and helpful owner Gillian Thompson lives in another flat in the same building. In mid-May she had switched off the central heating, so the electric fires were needed in the evening. The kitchen supplies included milk, eggs, bread and margarine, but not paper towels or a sponge scourer. The lighting in the kitchen and bathroom could be improved.

About the host
Hosted by Gillian Thompson
After spending 20 years in London, I decided to return to Northern Ireland in 2004 and settled on the Antrim Coast, an area of outstanding natural beauty and rugged coastline. Purchasing The Coach House, which was already converted into three self contained units I knew this would be a good opportunity to start the self catering business and since then The Coach House Self Catering Apartments have been operating successfully since 2007. I lives in one of the apartments, therefore am normally on site to help if necessary.
Why they chose this property
The Coach House is an historic building and was originally the stopping point for the horse drawn coaches along The Antrim Coast. Housing three separate apartments, of which two are self catering units, The Loft Apartment and The Stables Apartment. Surrounded by numerous historic landmarks and Game of Thrones had a heavy presence at Garron Point during filming of the series. Again for Game of Thrones fans various filming locations are either within walking distance or a short drive away. This area is one of Antrim Coast and Glens Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and the breathtaking views and uninterrupted sea views stretching over to The Mull of Kintyre in Scotland from the accommodation are spectacular. Located halfway between Carnlough and Glenariff (The Queen of the Glens). A perfect base to discover the unspoilt coastline, towns and villages, history and heritage, top visitor attractions and places of interest, The Giants Causeway just an hours drive away and of course numerous iconic Game Of Thrones film locations. With panoramic sea views over The Irish Sea to The Mull of Kintyre in Scotland.
