Beautiful cottage, exactly as described in the listing. Perfect location for exploring the coastal route and glens. Great communication with the host when booking, and details on arrival and departure.
Lovely cottage in a great location to explore the wonderful Antrim coast. The cottage was very cosy with lovely decor and the beds were super comfy. Overall fabulous stay, check-in was very straight-forward and communication from Gail was clear.
This property was the best for our try!!! The pub across the road from the house was very convenient and good people!!! I would definitely consider it for future visits to Ireland.

Thank you for your review. I hope you got some good golf in 👍
Easy check in with the host! Gail made everything simple. Cottage was very clean and neat. It was quiet in the country lane. The pub across the street has good food and the people are friendly.
This was a wonderful old cottage in a perfect location. Gail the host couldn't have been better at communication during the whole stay and booking. The cottage had some real old world charm along with modern amenities. The location was ideal with pub being across the street and with driving distance of some great golf courses and Belfast city center. I would 100% recommend and for sure will be staying here again on my next trip to Ireland.

We LOVED the Corner Cottage. It was perfect for three couples to share for three nights and had all of the amenities! The blend of modern convenience and historical charm was excellent. The Pub across the street was great especially on THursday night for the "Trad" music! I will come again!

Thank you Joanne I’m glad you enjoyed your stay You will be very welcome back
We have stayed in many a holiday cottage, from South Wales to Skye, Henley to Holt, but this one is right up there as one of our favourites (even better than the photos). Period features have been thoughtfully restored and beautiful antiques adorn every room. The beds are very comfortable with lovely linen. The good-sized, established garden is an asset and a separate, pretty courtyard is ideal for a relaxing cuppa in the sunshine. The location is perfect for exploring the treasures along the stunning Antrim Coast Road. Matties Meeting House opposite is an absolute gem of a pub - no frills, no Farrow & Ball, but all heart (and the locals know it). We had delicious food there and were lucky enough to hear a traditional, Irish band play an acoustic set. Truly memorable. Gail is a charming, friendly host who replies swiftly to any query. If this sounds up your street, don't hesitate to book Corner Cottage.
The Corner Cottage is a fantastic property in a lovely, tranquil location. You have everything you need inside this charming, yet modern, house.
The beach is about a mile down the road; we drove and walked to it on a few occasions. My kids loved ‘talking’ to the sheep at the farm along the way. There’s a pub across the street that does a lovely pint of Guinness as well.
Gail was a gracious host, warm and friendly and eager to answer any questions we had. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone. It is such a welcoming, comfortable cottage and I guarantee you’ll sleep like a baby.
A thoughtfully renovated old farmhouse tastefully furnished but with all modern facilities, great outdoor space with a lawned garden in addition to a courtyard area. Situated close to the ferry port of Larne and to the Antrim coast road. An ideal base to explore the beauty of the area and to catch up with family .Highly recommended.
Excellent property and communication from the owner. The location is fantastic. Lots to see and do and Mattis across the road does a great pint of Guinness.
We stayed for 3 nights and the cottage was extremely clean and well presented for our arrival. Our hosts have gone to a lot of effort and expense to equip the cottage to modern day living whilst retaining the features and character of the old cottage. Overall, a very cosy cottage with 3 good sized bedrooms and with excellent ensuite and main bathroom. Great communication with our hosts throughout and would highly recommend to anyone considering booking Corner Cottage.
It really is peaceful here, good for the soul. Downstairs comfy and pretty with a modern well equipped kitchen. Luxurious bathrooms and spacious bedrooms. Hosts friendly and accessible if needed. Loved it.
We had a lovely stay. The cottage is immaculate and has everything we needed. The weather wasn't good, but it didn't matter. The cottage was so cosy we just enjoyed our time there.
Absolutely stunning property. The attention to details was awesome. Such high quality of everything, probably the best beds we have ever stayed in. Such a beautiful space and wonderful garden and separate courtyard. Our weather was pretty terrible but it didnt matter as every day we came back from our exploring to this wonderful house. The area surrounding the house is gorgeous and we cant wait to come back. Gail is super efficient and friendly and a perfect host. Thanks again for such a lovely break. Roisin & Nick Jinks
A lovely property, great location and couldn't ask for anything more. Everything we needed for a long weekend away!

Why they chose this property
This is our Grandmother's house and has been lovingly restored. The house is surrounded by forest paths, hills to walk and the beach is less than a mile away. The traditional Irish pub 'The Meeting House' is literally 20 paces across the road opposite. You can have a very private time, read books and watch the extensive satellite channels or play the Playstation Games. Or Play Golf locally, visit Belfast - which is about 30 minutes away and still be right on the coast Road for one of the most spectacular drives in the World, an hour from the Causeway. As an adult Im still retuning and discovering new places and we hope we can share this with you.
What makes this property unique
This is 18th Century Cottage with 21st century convenience. Every piece of antique furniture has a story and The chairs are Great Northern Railway and stamped with the names of long closed stations. The huge granite fireplace is made from kerbstones taken from the mountains of Mourne and used in Victorian Belfast streets - each with the mark of the men who carved them. Light the pot bellied stove - we will leave a log basket to fill it - and rest in the old leather library Queen Anne chairs we rescued and restored. The cushions are made from the pattern used on the Titanic. Double doors take you out to two patios - one in the garden where we love to sit and listen to the river running by, the other to the courtyard with its cow-tailed pump and massive gothic door, originally from a church at the docks in Belfast. It's a sun trap and very private, although you can hear the comings and goings of the village.
The tongue and groove wood in the bathrooms have been reclaimed from the original house ceilings. When we took these down we found newspapers pasted to the rafters which told the news of the American Civil War in 1864.
One of the themes upstairs is the 'Green Man', who appears in Victorian carvings above the doors and in the magnificent table in the Master bedroom. You have to put your finger in his mouth to open the drawer! We have used original art and limited prints throughout. The watercolours of the vintage cars in the Blue Bedroom give nod to the famous hill climb which happens every year in Cairncastle. The Gothic feel of the Master Bedroom with its massive Gothic Headboard (originally an altar in a County Down church) is a reference to the link the area has had with Game of Thrones as a location.
We love the comfort of the beds, the double showers, the feel of woolen carpets and persian rugs on bare feet and the way we were able to reuse the original floorboards and kitchen table. Its wonky with paint layers on the legs but to us its perfect!
