Wonderful place to stay in the middle of beautiful nature and calm.
Pasha and Rod gave us a warm welcome and all support we needed to enjoy our holidays.
A very pleasant welcome and communication by Rod and Pasha.
An ideal place to visit either national park, interesting site like roman thermal site, Oradour sur Glane, Rochechouart castle,... and near the Charente lakes.
Cottage very well equiped and spacious.

Fab 6 Night stay in September 2018
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in le Mas.
The gite was well equipped and comfortable with some extra touches such as the welcome provisions. We cooked most nights and found everything we needed in the small but perfectly formed kitchen.
Pasha and Rod were the perfect hosts and made us feel welcome from the start to the end of our stay.
We were very lucky with the weather, 33 degrees the high, and the garden was a lovely place to relax after a busy day visiting some of the many places of interest nearby.
Would recommend Brantome and Oradour sur Glane as well as a Tuk Tuk tour of the vineyards of St Emillion if you fancy going further afield.

Picturesque Rural Location
We had a very relaxing 10 days staying in this lovely gite in a small hamlet surrounded by beautiful countryside. It is well appointed and comfy and a perfect base for exploring the local villages and swimming lakes. Wonderful hosts who made us very welcome from the start. An abundance of wildlife that only adds to the overall superb ambiance.

Weiterempfehlung 100%!

Unique, cosy gite in rural location, yet an easy drive to some pretty towns. Great for walks/cycles
We had a lovely week-long stay in the gite, hosted by Rod, Pasha and the boys - it is a great place to get away from it all and to relax thoroughly. The gite is the perfect space for two, with oodles of character - the interior manages to strike a great balance between space, practicality & comfort. The gite is in a rural location and the surrounding countryside is readily accessible, either on foot, or by taking advantage of the two bikes, which Pasha & Rod have left at guests' disposal. The pretty town of Rochechouart is only a ten minute drive, with the larger St. Junian another five or ten minutes further away, so stocking up with gourmet goodies was easy! There is also a nearby village with the obligatory Boulangerie - it's only a few minutes in the car, so no issues if you like your croissants super-fresh in the morning. There are also a number of lakes very nearby for swimming, fishing & boating. Our hosts were just fab, doing all they could to ensure we had all we needed to enjoy our stay - they are a great family and we wouldn't hesitate in recommending the gite as a destination for a relaxing and special break away.

Rural Idyll - Romanic Retreat.
Rod and Pasha couldn't have been any more welcoming! They were extremely helpful and friendly and we felt completely 'at home'. The gite was beautiful, clean, and well equipped, perfect for a romantic interlude! I particularly enjoyed sitting out in the secluded garden, equally lovely both day and night. It is a fantastic spot for star gazing! The surrounding area is breath-taking and we visited the local lakes for swimming and fishing and enjoyed our trip into town visiting the local art gallery/museum. We couldn't have had a better stay and we'd highly recommend it. Ours was just a short stay but we plan to return and stay longer in future.

Lovely tranquil stay
Beautiful gite, peaceful and tranquil area. The gite has its own private garden, where you can enjoy the well maintained garden, read a book and soak up the sun. Owners cannot do enough for you, but also respect your privacy. The gite its self has a rustic charm, but with a luxury feel with an amazing bathroom and shower. The bed was sooooo comfortable, like seriously the best bed I have ever slept in, with clean crisp bedding. Fluffy white towels are provided, and a welcome basket is also provided with tea, coffee, bread etc, so no rushing off to the shops to stock up on things you need for your stay. Lots of local information on the area and surrounding areas, so if you don't have a laptop to check what's about its handy, but if you do there's free wifi. Will definitely be staying again, and have recommended to all my family and friends.

About the host
Hosted by Pasha and Rod
This will be our 3rd summer in France hosting. We have a young family and our children attend the local French school.
Why they chose this property
The Limousin area is a hidden gem in France... It is famous for its Limousin cattle and the area around Rochechouart famous for a meteorite hit about 214 million years ago... It is reputedly part of one of the largest ever to hit Earth. We are surrounded by fields and it is an ideal base for exploring by car, bike or on foot.
What makes this property unique
The cottage is a renovated building which still holds a working bread oven. It is very peaceful and very little traffic passes by. You will have sole access to the cottage and garden. There is an open section of the barn which can be used if you require outside covered space.
