From streams to summits and forests and shores, Dumfries and Galloway has an abundance of unspoilt beautiful scenery. Bengali Holiday Cottage is in the heart of it all, only 15 minutes by car to beaches and forests and 10 minutes to the towns of Castle Douglas and Kirkcudbright.
Set within the village of Ringford, the cottage was built only in 2012 and offers modern luxury and spacious common rooms. It will easily accommodate up to 8 persons. Our fully equipped self catering accommodation also offers unrestricted access for wheelchair users. There are walk-in showers throughout.
Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbright and Gatehouse of Fleet are all within 10 minutes drive of Bengali. The rest of Dumfries and Galloway and the Ayrshire coast are easily accessible from the A75. Popular family destinations such as the Chocolate Factory and the Cream of Galloway are close by. There are a host of local beaches, golf courses walking routes and mountain bike trails at the 7Stanes.
The house features a very large modern kitchen with seating for 8 around the dining table and a large central kitchen island. This room is a great place to catch up after a day out. You can easily make cooking the dinner a social event with your fellow guests, who have the option to take a seat at the breakfast bar or relax in the sofa with views of the garden. There is access from the kitchen directly onto a Raised Timber Deck with external dining and seating. Integrated appliances are available and a second fridge freezer is in the garage for when you need that extra cold store.
The living room has adequate space for everyone to be seated in comfort. Depending on your mood, you can enjoy the large flatscreen TV, enjoy the vantage through the large windows with views of the local country side or switch off and cosy up in front of the Log Burning Stove.
The house features 4 bedrooms. The large Master Bedroom features an en-suite with large walk in shower, walk in wardrobe and Super-King Size bed. The second double King Size bedroom has fitted wadrobes and an en-suite with walk in shower. A twin room has a walk in wardrobe and a further bedroom features a single bed with pull out bed to allow the house to sleep 8. There is a wardrobe in the single room. The large main bathroom features a bath and walk in shower.
