This beautiful, bright and comfortable 1700 sq foot, 3-bedroom casita is located at The Quail Ridge Inn and is a perfect home-away-from-home for vacationing families in any season, a women's retreat weekend or tennis tournament participants playing in one of the annual events sponsored by Taos Tennis at Quail Ridge. We also have a special rate for parties of 2 - please inquire! The home is ideally situated between the town of Taos (less than 10 minutes away) and Taos Ski Valley (20 minutes away).
The first floor has a fully equipped kitchen and breakfast bar, spacious living area with kiva fireplace, a dining area, washer and dryer, one full bath and 2 bedrooms with queen beds that will sleep 6. There is an outdoor patio area for charcoal grilling or dining al fresco. The second floor has a master bedroom with a king size bed, a second en suite bath and a deck facing south with lovely mountain views. The home has basic Direct TV service and basic wireless internet.
Guests have access to the facilities of Taos Tennis at Quail Ridge which include tennis courts, pro shop, year round hot-tub and seasonal pool (open May-Sept) all only a short walk from the casita (see the map of the grounds in the photo slide show). Taos Tennis at Quail Ridge has been ranked in the Top 50 Tennis Resorts in the world, hosting tournaments and offering lessons, camps and drop in doubles for the whole family.
The property is less than a ten minute drive from the historic Downtown Taos Plaza and the many excellent in-town eateries, galleries, shops and museums. It is only a 20 minute drive from Taos Ski Valley, noted for it's uncrowded world class skiing and snowboarding. Taos Ski Valley has an award winning teaching program, terrain for all abilities and was was recently listed as one of 52 places to visit in 2015 by the New York Times. The casita is also an easy drive to other area attractions including the Taos Pueblo, The Taos Mountain Casino and the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge .
Other recreational opportunities abound and include: hiking, fishing, birdwatching, snowshoeing, rafting, mountain biking and gallery hopping. Among other nearby attractions: Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs (40 mins) The Wild Rivers Recreation Area of The Rio Grande del Norte National Monument (30 mins), Bandelier National Monument (1.5 hours) and the quaint village of Arroyo Seco (5 mins).
