Back deck with view of Currituck Sound - gorgeous sunsets! Front deck off 2 of the 3 bedrooms. Short walk to the ocean, beautiful sunrises! 2.5 mi. north of "downtown" Duck with paved walk/bike path all the way! 1.4 mi. south of The Sanderling Resort!

There are great places to eat nearby in "downtown" Duck. Sit on the back deck at Sunset Grill with outdoor bar overlooking the Currituck Sound and watch gorgeous sunsets. Blue Point is awesome, located right on the Sound as well. There is also Roadside Grill, Duck Deli (great for breakfast, too!), among others. Search "restaurants in Duck, NC" and you'll see a number of great places to eat. Lots of great shops to visit as well. Don't forget to stop by Duck Donuts for fresh hot "homemade-style" donuts! Pets: Unfortunately, we do not allow pets because we have hard floors throughout the house that might scratch, and in consideration of travelers with pet allergies. Thanks for your consideration in advance!

Summer in OBX

Check in instructions were uncomplicated. Any questions or issues were quickly resolved by Jim. The house was clean, the back deck had a view of the sound and NC 12 that runs through the town of Duck. The neighborhood was quiet and residential. The beach was a short walk on a gravel road. A trip to downtown duck could be made on bicycles. The beds were comfortable, the house was functional for what we needed. Having games was a nice way to spend the heat wave afternoons.

The check in process was easy and we did get to check in early. The house was nice we did have an issue with refrigerator it wasn’t cooling but I texted Jim and he called right away and gave us access to the one in the garage but it started working the next day and everything was fine. Overall the stay was good and we had a good time

Duck outer banks

Great property for our family, we live in Montana and our family is in Raleigh. It was nice to have a place where we could all be together. Everything worked and the instructions were helpful to check in and out. Communication with the host was good and easy through the app

Great long weekend

I stayed at Jim’s place with my husband and toddler, and a family we are friends with. It was a great stay, convenient location with a gorgeous view of the sound. Loved that there was a closet full of toys for the little ones to play with. We’d absolutely stay again!

Good Location

House is about a 5 minute walk to the beach with a beach cart. Bicycle trails for several miles in each direction. We thought we had to bring our own beach stuff, but there were beach chairs and boogie boards already in the house. All the appliances worked and appeared modern. Beach is nice with mostly sand and ghost crabs. (According to my wife, you have to walk a couple of miles to find areas with shells. She likes to collect.) Never had trouble getting a close spot on the beach for our umbrella. Only issue (which is not because of the house, but anywhere you might rent in the area) is that the roads are inadequate for the amount of traffic in the town. On some days you might get into town faster by bike.

Relaxing and charming

Ralaxing and charming home near the ocean. Short walk to the beach through the back of the neighborhood. We appreciated the beach cart and chairs. Fairly spacious home. Good view of sunsets on the sound from the back deck. Owners gave great tips about Duck. Their communication regarding expectations for check in and check out were well explained and reasonable. We are a family of four, but as advertised, we think it could easily accommodate a family of 8. The kitchen is amazingly well stocked for those who choose to cook their own meals.

Visit to Duck

Jim did a wonderful job of providing information about the property and things to do. Porch had a great sound view and sunsets. However, an umbrella would have been nice. House is dated and needs cabinet handles replaced as many were missing. Pictures did show a road but traffic was very loud and busy when sitting on back deck. Master bath is small. Kitchen was very well stocked. Property has a nice layout and beds were very comfortable. Weather was perfect.

Great Vacation!

Duck Outer Banks Visit

The host, Jim, did a wonderful job of providing information about the property, things to do, etc. The property felt more like home than being in a rental. There isn't anything missing that you might need. You can see the Currituck Sound from the deck and just a walk down the gravel road and your on the beach! We really enjoyed our stay and Jim was very pleasant to work with.

Long weekend with daughter

A perfect place to enjoy the beach, good eats and relaxation with my daughter. The house was clean and comfortable with everything one needs if you choose to eat in. Beach just a few easy blocks away with regular deer sightings. Downtown duck just a few miles and you must bring or rent bikes, very friendly paths. Oh and let's not forget Jim, our host who was super attentive and available if needed. Thanks for the use of your vacation home, highly recommend.

Great location at Duck

House is a perfect location to walk to the beach. Just far enough out of the fray of Duck but close enough to enjoy it's amenities. Homeowner provides a beach cart so that you can roll your stuff down to the beach. House is dated but spotless!

Awesome property

We went for our first time to OBX. The house was perfect size for our family, 5 adults and a 2 year old. Super clean. Super clean, Jim was very easy to reach with any questions. 5 minute walk from the beach and beautiful view if the bay. Right outside the cute town of Duck. We had to cut our stay short due to an emergency back home. Our 5 night stay became a 2 night stay. We would book this house again

Wonderful house in great location

Wonderful visit in Duck

We really enjoyed our week at this property in Duck. The home was very clean and comfortable for 4 of us. It is just a short walk to the large, beautiful beach. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed. Jim was quick and easy to reach by text. Our only surprise was that the busy and fast Highway 12 bisects the gorgeous view of the sound from the deck. Although the pictures show the road between the property and the sound, we did not realize the extent and loudness of the traffic. I would absolutely rent this home again, but would do so with the full knowledge of the fast traffic on the busy street that the porch overlooks.

Good stay

We were very pleased with our stay at this property. The deck is great and we had excellent sunset views. It is private except for one neighbor. Ocean beach about five minute walk away. The house was clean and well equipped. Only downsides were the somewhat small master bath shower and a very finicky lock on the main door that was a challenge each time. Homeowner provided beach chairs and cart were appreciated and property manager was responsive when needed. Would stay again.

Third stay was a delightful

This was our third time renting this property. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach each day for sunrise and the evenings on the deck enjoying the sunsets on the sound. Jim and Connie are great hosts and can text Jim anytime. They make you feel at home even if it was only a for a week get away. The house had everything we needed and was in a quiet neighborhood. We will be back again.

This is my wife Connie’s mother and father's former home. You will see the "Pop's Delight" sign hanging in the great room. They loved the house and beach so much! We know you and your family and friends will have a great time at our house! The outdoor shower is to die for! Motion sensor light for nighttime showering! Quiet neighborhood just a few miles north of "downtown" Duck with walk/bike path all the way! Just a few minutes walk to the ocean and across the street from the Currituck Sound. Great views of gorgeous sunsets from the back deck! Hoping to host your stay-cation soon!
