About this property

Cosy refurbished 2 bedroom apartment, Sleeps 6. Close to slopes

60m2 apartment with stunning views across the valley. It is situated in La Rosiere, a beautiful traditional family village with 160km of skiing slopes. The resort has direct access to Italy (La Thuile) on skis in winter and by car in summer.

The flat entrance is on the ground floor but the east/south facing balcony is on the second floor. The flat was refurbished in October 2016. It is a cosy and comfortable space ideal to unwind and relax in a fantastic setting and friendly resort.

- Large entrance hall with bunk beds for 2 children up to 12 (80x180cm) equipped with pillows and single duvets.

- Bedroom 1: Double bed (Double/140cm) with a chest of drawers. USB sockets.
2 pillows and a double duvet.

- Bedroom 2: Big single bunk beds (90x200cm) double sofa bed (Double/140cm), wardrobe, USB sockets. 4 pillows, 1 double duvet and 2 single duvets.

- Separate toilets

- Bathroom: 2 sinks, big bath with shower - NO washing machine (launderette a few minutes' walk from the flat)

- Kitchen: Fully fitted kitchen with induction hob, oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and electric kettle, Senseo coffee machine

- Lounge: Big table, corner sofa, armchair, television, USB sockets. Wifi

- L shape balcony where you can follow the sun from sunrise to sunset

Small ski locker located a floor below from the flat
Private parking in front of the building (50 euros refundable deposit for the gate key fob). Note that a space isn't guaranteed especially in February. Free public car park nearby.

Cleaning fee: 65 euros (included in the quote).

Winter: The slopes are 250m from the flat. We have a partnership with a nearby sports shop where you get a reduction on the price of ski rental and where you can leave them overnight.

Summer: they are plenty of walks available starting from the resort. One chairlift remains open to easily access the top of the resort.

Bakery, butcher, newspapers, chemist, launderette, supermarket, bars and restaurants are a few minutes walk away from the flat.

Great location and views

Lovely property, great location with amazing views of the mountain. Could benefit from a deep clean - bit dusty in places but otherwise we had an amazing stay. Well equipped with everything we needed and plenty of hot water / heating. Thankyou!

Superb family holiday accommodation in La Rosiere

Stayed at this self-catering flat in La Rosiere and was thoroughly impressed! The short walk up to town was convenient, allowing for easy access to local attractions. The flat itself was beautifully decorated, with comfortable beds ensuring a restful night's sleep. Plus, it was fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Highly recommend for a cozy and convenient mountain getaway. Stunning views!

We had a great time in La Rosiere and the apartment felt like home from home. It was spacious, had everything we needed for our stay and the host was fab - quick to respond and check-in/check-out process was easy. Oh and the views were stunning, we couldn’t stop looking through the window! :)

Great location for accessing main lifts and ski hire shops and bars for apres ski

Nicely furnished and decorated apartment with everything you would need for a weeks stay in La Rosiere. Galley kitchen ideal for preparing food whilst staying in the conversations. South facing balcony gives amazing views up and down the valley. This is a very sunny apartment and great for relaxing after skiing. It ticks all the boxes and we would rent again.

Fabulous New Year Stay

We loved this apartment. Our party was made up our family - mum, dad and 3 daughters, 16, 19, 21 - and our eldest's boyfriend. We had the double room and the 4 young adults slept in the other room - bunks and double bed worked fine. The very spacious living area, and sociable seating worked well for us. And the board games were appreciated when the weather was poor. We self catered for most evenings and there was plenty of space for us all around the dining table. The apartment would benefit from having more saucepans, oven proof dishes, and crockery but we managed. Otherwise the kitchen is very nicely equipped. The decor is tasteful and restful, and made a change from the usual 'Savoyard Style' of many apartments. And the view from the large corner window in the lounge is spectacular. It has been very nicely refurbished, with a lot of thought put into the lighting and provision of hooks etc,. We hired bedding, and I appreciated that the owner arranges for her own bedding to be used so the colour scheme matches the decor. Other suggestions we would make are wall mirrors in the bedrooms, and a bit more crockery - pasta plates, bigger tumblers and more mugs. And definitely more saucepans. But other than challenge of cooking with limited saucepans, we loved our stay here. Would definitely recommend it.

Perfection

Myself my husband and 2 teenage daughters travelled to La Rosière. It was a last minute decision due to our cruise being cancelled due to covid (only 3 days notice) to begin with Celine was amazing getting in touch within a couple of hours to confirm my reservation and then with communication about the property and even called me the day of arrival. Although there was a language barrier with Francoise as she does not speak English and I do not speak French the check in was smooth and we were both understood. Ok now the apartment WOW it is exactly how it is pictured, the rooms were comfortable and bigger than I imagined it had everything we needed for our 6 night stay. The town is really close and although those hills up to it are a little steep it definitely helped burn off some of those Calories from the amazing bakery that was far too tempting a few times. I was a little worried before I arrived at the cost of groceries due to it being isolated but the mini market was extremely reasonable and well stocked. Petrol was pricey but that was to be expected. Ok so I can’t wait any longer I need to talk about THE VIEW my one regret is that I didn’t spend more time in the balcony just looking out at it, you should book in here to experience it I am not exaggerating when I say it is life changing. La Rosière is in a great position where it is remote enough to feel like you are experiencing small town mountain life but at the same time close enough to explore. We visited Val D’Isere (I had to show my children where I had been skiing) as well as the beautiful town of La Thuile. The kids were amazed that we were constantly jumping back and forth between France and Italy even as we drove along the mountain paths up to the apartment. We also visited Montreux and Geneva Switzerland and considered Turin Italy but decided against it due to covid restrictions at the moment. My top tip is if you think you may want to visit Switzerland is buy the 10 trip pass on the Mont Blanc Tunnel as we didn’t on our first time up and ended up costing us more money. I really could talk forever about the amazing experience we had (as you can tell) but to finish I would say press reserve now on the property and you will not regret it! Have an amazing trip xx

Appartement bien placé dans la station et bien agencéPar contre, situé en rez de chaussée et juste à côté de la zone où les skieurs mettent et retirent leurs chaussures. Donc il y a du bruit le matin, le midi et en fin d'aprem ... Enfin, l'appartement ne fait sans doute pas 60m2 comme indiqué dans l'annonce. Plus proche des 50m2.

Super séjour, appartement spacieux et confortable

Séjour très agréable dans l'appartement de Céline. Grand, confortable, tous le nécessaire est à disposition. La vue imprenable sur la vallée, situation plutôt proche des pistes (10 petites minutes à pieds). Secteur calme. Je recommande grandement !

Ski en famille

Tout s'est très bien passé. L'appartement est très fonctionnel, bien équipé. La vue est superbe. Nous étions avec un enfant de 5 ans et un de 22mois, les hôtes sont arrangeants.

Bel appartement et belle vue

Nous avons loué cet appartement pour la vue: nous n'avons pas été déçu ! L'arrivée et le départ se sont fait facilement grâce à la présence d'une concierge dans l'immeuble. Les photos correspondent bien à la réalité.

Hi! I am Celine and I have purchased this property with my husband and my brother. I am French but have been living in the UK for the past 25 years. When my parents passed away, I was very keen to purchase a property in France so my children could keep in touch with their roots. Being all avid skiers, the Alps were a natural choice. We have renovated the flat entirely in the summer/autumn 2016.

Why they chose this property

Well...Once you have seen the view, you will understand! The location is also great, being minutes away from the shops and a short walk away from the slopes.
We have found the people at the resort to be very friendly. And being located only 30 min away from Bourg Saint Maurice makes it easy to access by train.
But what really attracted us to this place is the fact that in winter you can ski in Italy for lunch.

What makes this property unique

The views from the balcony. You can see the sun from the moment it rises to its setting. Each day offers a different show. The location of the flat is also very convenient to access all the resort facilities. The resort also offers interesting walks for the non skier even in the winter.
