Beautiful quiet property right near the Old City Avignon

Wonderful, cozy, well maintained, small house. There were four of us but we never felt crowded. The kitchen was very well appointed. The property itself was spectacular. The garden was filled with wonderful fresh fruits (including grape vines of course- with very ripe grapes), vegetable and herbs. There were chickens, roosters and ducks which was fun. There were also a few feral cats- one was particularly friendly. Andre was very attentive and often provided us with fresh eggs. We enjoyed the swimming pool and dining al fresco. We highly recommended this hidden getaway very close to Avignon.

Parfait

Très bon séjour, vraiment tout proche d'Avignon (5 min en voiture). Propriétaire très gentil qui nous a offert des fruits et légumes du potager et des oeufs frais. Maison très agréable avec piscine sécurisée, clim, salon de jardin, verger, potager, poules, canards, grenouilles... C'était le petit plaisir de mon fils de 2ans de se promener au milieu des poules le matin. Bref tout ce qu'il faut et au calme, je recommande.

Un havre de paix aux portes d’avignon!

Nous avons séjourné avec nos deux filles (3,5 ans et 10 mois) dans cette charmante maison. La piscine est incroyablement agréable et la maison sans aucun vis a vis. La situation géographique est top, en 5 minutes de voiture on se gare aux portes d’avignon et on visite à pied. Notre hôte est egalement tres sympathique. Merci pour ces belles vacances!

Lovely gite in a quiet location on the doorstep of Avignon

This property was perfect for us. We traveled as a family of 4 with 2 teenage children and a dog. The gite was small but perfectly formed, we loved having dinner under the shady vine outside and sharing the wider outdoor space with chickens and ducks. The property is secure and secluded with a remote control gate. The owner, Andre was friendly and helpful, saying we could help ourselves to all the produce he grows, and leaving us fresh eggs from the chickens. He lives about 15 minutes away and popped down to the grounds most days, but we didn't know he was there as the gite is fully enclosed. The pool is quite small, but was lovely for a dip on the many hot days we had. Temperatures were in the mid 30s for most of our time. The only small downside is there is nowhere in walking distance to eat or go for a drink. Les Angles old town is pretty but with nothing in it, and the new town rather soulless. Villeneuve sur Avignon is close and is much more characterful with great restaurants. Including the Michelin star Le Prieure which does a very reasonable lunch. If you want a quiet retreat in the heart of the South of France this will be perfect for you. The property was of a high standard and we would definitely stay again.

Country Life in the City

Our party consisted of two couples and Gelert the Welsh Terrier, in May 2017. Advance concerns that the house would be very small were dismissed upon arrival. OK, isn't big but there is ample space for 4 and the modern, bright interior makes it feel light & spacious. The house is within a gated & walled bucolic paradise. There are chickens at the end of the driveway and fresh eggs are offered by the owner to guests; collecting them is a delight. There are fruit trees of every kind, we stayed in cherry season. There are bee hives but the little beauties don't bother guests if you don't bother them. There is 98% peace and tranquility, interrupted only by the railway line which is rather close. Trains appeared infrequent and couldn't be heard indoors. It is worth remembering that the house is 5 minutes away from Avignon city centre so the tranquility is actually delightful. The weather wasn't kind enough for us to test the pool but it looked clean & well cared for and would be very inviting if the weather was hot. Would we go back? Absolutely; in fact we tried to book but the house wasn't available. Stay here. You won't be disappointed.

Très agréable séjour

Endroit très agréable au calme et pourtant proche des commerces et de beaux sites à visiter. Maison bien agencée dans un parc fermé, belle piscine et une terrasse à l'ombre, couverte de vigne et de délicieux raisins ainsi qu'un potager mis à notre disposition. Un propriétaire très discret mais présent dès qu'il le faut ( nous avons eu un petit problème avec une roue de notre voiture ) Nous avons passé deux excellentes semaines de vacance.

Une location très agréable

Tout a été dit dans les précédents avis: maison nickel, joliment décorée et très bien équipée. Agréable jardin clos avec un coin ombragé si l'ont veut se protéger du soleil. Et la baignade après la tombée de la nuit dans la piscine éclairée de bleue, que les cigales se sont tues au profit des grenouilles alentour, c'est top! Maison "au vert" bien qu' à 5 minutes seulement pourtant en voiture d'une zone commerciale d'un côté et du parking de l'ile Piot où l'on prend ensuite une des navettes gratuites mises en place le temps du festival d'Avignon. Nous avons été vraiment très contents de notre semaine dans cette location. Et Mr Chibaudel est très sympathique ce qui ne gâche rien!

Country Villa with lots of nature around us

We had a lovely week here at this villa. Andrea is very friendly although his English was not quite a fluent as we thought but we all managed. He kindly collected us from the AVG Station in Avignon in a cloud burst and we all got soaked to the skin! The house is very well appointed with air conditioning which we needed by the end of the week as it was 37C! Highly recommend this villa. You definitely need a car as the walk into Les Angles is all uphill!

Un petit coin de Paradis

Nous avons passé une magnifique semaine dans cette belle maison très bien équipée, moderne et bien entretenue! Tout est réunis pour passer un excellent sejour. Nous avons pu profiter de la piscine en plein mois d'avril car elle est chauffée, un vrai plus!!!! Mais également profiter du beau jardin, du terrain de pétanque et nos enfants ont pu nourrir les canards, les poules et ramasser les oeufs !! Un dépaysement total…Encore merci au Propriétaire pour sa gentillesse et sa disponibilité!! Nous avons hâtes de revenir vous voir! A très bientôt!

Perfect for privacy lovers

What a perfect holiday house, clean, new and stylishly decorated, with a good kitchen and two bathrooms, good beds (airco in upper bedroom) and most of all a great terrace and pool-area. Cosy and intimate, perfect for a couple or small family. Romantic outside dining beneath the grapes-pergola, fenced and private. Ideal to relax and spend the day outside. Huge supermarket at 6 minutes-by-car where you can find anything you might possibly need (great fish market, wines, deli etc) and Avignon is really close as well. To top it of, the owner is so very nice and helpful, offering fresh eggs and anything else his garden offers, this is a must-stay and we will be surely returning one day. Also, make sure to visit Villeneuve and have lunch/dinner at the Bistro du Moulin, very good food, creative, classic-modern.

simply perfect!

We spent a wonderful week in this very nice house. It is very good equipped, we missed nothing (Even not a Nespresso machine!). We where looking for something nice and calm but not to far from a big city and what we found was more than we expected. A lovely house with a beautiful garden – cherries for self service included – an a heated pool which was really warm!! And only a few minutes away from Avignon (by car). Everything was perfect! And last but not least: friendly landlords who gave us a warm welcome although we arrived very late in the evening. It was our first time there but certainly not the last.

merveilleuses vacances

nous avons passés d'excéllentes vacances dans cet jolie maison bien isolée et très confortable,rien ne manque tout est fait pour vous satisfaire, de plus vous n'êtes qu'a 5min de la ville et d'un zoning commercial. Pour visiter la région,il y a beaucoup de sites pas très loins donc tout pour votre bonheur sans faire trop de kilomètres.Les propriétaires sont très sympas et serviables et merci a eux pour ces 2 superbes semaine (ont y retourneras) ps: prévoir des produits pour les moustiques

Un écrin de nature et de calme, LE BONHEUR !

Nous avons passé un mois absolument merveilleux dans ce petit havre de paix. Tout est absolument charmant, neuf et de qualité. L'ensemble est fonctionnel et décoré avec goût, la literie est irréprochable et l'extérieur de la maison est très agréable. Le potager et le verger sont à disposition, et nous avons eu la chance d'inaugurer la piscine ! Un coin détente sous la tonnelle de vigne, les repas au chant des cigales, nous avons adoré ! De plus, le propriétaire est absolument charmant et tout à fait disposé à rendre service. Enfin, la localisation de cette maison est vraiment très intéressante car elle se trouve à 5 minutes d'Avignon en voiture (pas une minute de plus!) et tous les commerces sont à proximité. Nous avons été enchantés et nous reviendrons !

Un ptit coin de bonheur à 5min d'Avignon

Nous avons eu la chance d'être les premiers à séjourner dans ce ptit coin de paradis... QUE DU BONHEUR! Des propriétaires charmants qui ont mis tout en oeuvre pour que tout soit parfait: la décoration est soignée jusque dans le détail, l'équipement est moderne et fonctionnel, un grand verger avec tout ce qu'il faut, le charme du bassin avec les nénuphars et ses grenouilles, une terrasse sous les vignes idéalement aménagée pour la détente, la convivialité et les dîners petits déjeuners au chant des cigales! Nous attendons l'année prochaine avec impatience pour le résulat final de ce petit bijou. En voiture, 5min d'Avignon, et idéalement situé pour visiter les plus beaux spots de la région. On ne peut que remercier nos adorables propriétaires et leur dire avec assurance: A très bientôt certainement!
