8 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 8 toilets in total, large dinning kitchen, second kitchen, sitting rooms upstairs and downstairs with large open fire, cosy and warm. Snooker room, large garden and unending beautiful countryside.
This spacious large country house was formerly a farmhouse dating from the early 1800s and a magnificent stone barn dating from the 1600s. They are now combined into a newly renovated, newly furnished and newly equipped house suitable for family gatherings and group holidays.

Set at the end of a one mile long private track (tarmacked) in the depths of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales countryside, this former farmhouse makes an excellent base for touring the western Yorkshire Dales and rural Lancashire with the Lake District just an hour and a half away and York a similar time in the other direction.

The pleasant riverside village of Gargrave with late opening Coop supermarket, cafes, pubs and Indian restaurant is 2 miles. The attractive market town of Skipton with large supermarkets (Morrisons, Tescos, Aldi) and many independent shops and restaurants is 7 miles.

Wonderful country walks on public footpaths radiate out in all directions from this idyllically located rural property.

There are 8 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and 8 toilets. One ground floor king size double bedroom with adjacent bathroom, 2 first floor king size double bedrooms each with spacious en suite bathroom, one double bedroom and four twin bedrooms which means that the house sleeps 16 adults in comfort.

All windows have wonderful long distance views of unspoilt green countryside with grazing sheep, cattle, horses, rolling green hills and woodland.

The renovation is to a high standard.

There is be a new huge farmhouse style dining kitchen complete with 2 oven range cooker, extra large fridge, separate freezer and dining table for 16 people. There is a second kitchen with 4 ring electric hob, oven and grill and another fridge plus a second dishwasher.

The games room has a full size snooker table and full ancillary equipment to professional snooker standard. There are two comfortable sitting rooms (one with open fire in feature stone surround) each with a 42 inch flat screen TV.

Up to 4 dogs are welcome. The garden is dog proof, but they must be on a lead outside the garden because this is sheep farming country.

Four separate public footpaths radiate in different directions from this house, making it a perfect base for easy walking holidays. More strenuous walks are available in nearby Ribblesdale up the Yorkshire Three Peaks.

Great location, nice and quiet, beautiful setting. Pet friendly. Nice walks for the dogs. Bedding and towels lovely and white. The wardrobe in our room wasn't very clean at the bottom. Whilst there are lot's of kitchen utensils the frying pans need replacing, the food stuck in them all. Ovens need a deep clean. Just small things, but overall a lovely stay.

Simply perfect

Fantastic stay in a lovely large spacious farmhouse . Perfect for a large get together with the family . lovely and tidy and clean and magnificent snooker table which was an added bonus for us adult sportie type .The farmhouse was tucked away from everything in an idyllic spot and only a small drive to town for local hostelry All in all the whole family loved our stay and would fully recommend and would definitely return . Thanks again

Lovely spacious cottage with plenty of room for 11 adults, 3 kids under 2 and 5 dogs. Very comfortable. Check in process was excellent. There are a few things that could do with being updated, the kettle in the kitchen didn’t work, cushions on the wooden kitchen chairs would have made it more comfortable. I checked the advertised secure garden with the owner as another reviewer said it wasn’t secure. The owner assured me it was, it actually wasn’t and that meant as a family we couldn’t be outside and just let the dogs in the garden, that made it very hard for us and we had to take them out separately several times a day into the field next to the house. It wouldn’t take much to make the fence dog secure so I’m not sure why this hasn’t been done following the previous review. Overall though it was lovely, the views are outstanding, the garden very picturesque and location perfect and we had a week of sunny weather

Robs 60th Birthday weekend

Twelve of us and five dogs descended for my 60th Birthday weekend. The house is huge well cared for, nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. Two huge lounges, great large kitchen, more bathrooms than you can shake a stick and a full size snooker table. The garden is secure with lots of grassed areas and the views are to die for. Gargrave is about 2 miles by road but its only a mile or so over the fields. The location is great. The communication I had with the host was first class. with all of my emails answered quickly. The weather was kinder than the forecast suggested and we all had a fantastic time. The local pubs were great and dog friendly. The only thing that could have been provided was a welcome pack, Pint of milk, couple of dishwasher tablets. things like that. We had a fantastic time and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

New Year Trip

Lovely quiet location. House perfect for a large number of people. Everyone enjoyed it. The only problem we found was the garden wasn't as secure as we would have liked for the dog's. One small one could get under the fence into the field with sheep in so had to go on a lead all the time and the dogs could get around the path at the side of the house to the front of the property. We reported a couple of issues, no hot water in one of the bathrooms and one of the oven stopped working. Owner apologetic, we understood that on new year's day these couldn't be fixed. Forgot to mention to her that the fridge wasn't that clean on arrival and a couple of things were left in. But overall we would stay there again

Superb comfortable venue for a large family get together in beautiful countryside

13 adults, 1 infant, 1 baby and 4 dogs with room to spare. Plenty of bedrooms, comfortable lounges, full size snooker table and a massive kitchen diner is exactly what our family group required for a weekend get together. Add to that the beautiful countryside, outdoor seating and horses and sheep in the adjacent fields making it perfect. It does seem a bit strange on approach to drive through a farmyard as you feel you have gone the wrong way but then the road opens out into open fields and the setting of the farmhouse is great. Plenty of car parking space outside and nice well tended gardens as you approach to enter the enormous kitchen diner and you know that this is where it will all happen. Bedrooms and bathrooms are plentiful and well presented. The snooker table is fantastic and even those who had never played before all wanted to have a go. It's a fair walk to the nearest pubs and shops in Gargrave and it probably feels much further coming back so we didn't try it. But Gargrave is a pleasant village with welcoming pubs and a great Indian restaurant that does takeaway food. Skipton is a lovely town with the castle, canal boat trips and market and it is a short drive away. Take your pick with the countryside walks in the area, but Malham Cove was our choice and we're glad we chose it. It is stunning. Back to Ingber House and a relaxing drink in the sun in the garden made it a perfect day. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole weekend in the perfect (for us) holiday home.

Location location

Classic farm building with lots of facilities, not modern, but full of character and spotlessly clean. Well equipped kitchen to cater for everyone eating together., plenty of spacious bedrooms, bathrooms and sitting rooms. Views in all direction over farmland with grazing sheep, horses and cattle. Tractors and silage machines in action one day to the delight of tractor fans of all ages. Walks directly from the property through the landscapes, cars stayed parked all weekend. Snooker, table football chess, board games provided and property ideal for nerf gun ambushes. ( we think we gathered in all the projectiles) TV x2 but not used at all. Hope to return next year.

Very spacious accommodation in a stunning location

The house is very well equipped & the snooker table was an added bonus. We had 6 young adults with us so it was great having two lounges. Unfortunately, the PS4 would not connect to the tv because there is poor internet in parts of the house. This had been my selling point to the boys so I felt bad but they survived. We had some nice walks & the Wensleydale creamery was worth a visit on a drizzly day. The walk along the canal was lovely with 6 locks in succession. I would recommend this property to large family groups & it was also great for the dog! The only downside was the internet & the fact that the shower trays filled up fast in all bathrooms. They probably need unblocking. We didn’t see the owners the entire week.

Wonderful countryside retreat

We had a fantastic time at Ingber house this August. The house is well equipped and very spacious, with two living rooms and a kitchenette as well as the kitchen. You can sit everybody around the huge table, and there’s a smaller table too. The garden is fantastic and overlooks fields in all directions. We really enjoyed the snooker room and the table football, and our toddler had a great time running around the huge house, looking at the sheep and horses, and playing football in the garden. We picked Ingber because of the ability to walk right from the doorstep and this was a huge benefit. You could walk up and over the hill down to the river, and if you go the other way you can walk down to the canal and see several locks. We even walked right to Gargrave one day and went to the pub! The local area is stunning and we were lucky enough to get sunny days, so it was beautiful. We managed a barbecue one day and it was a perfect end to our stay. The house was open and ready when we got there, which was really convenient as our groups all arrived at different times so it would have been a pain to meet somebody to get keys. The communication with the owner was great and very easy. I’ve given four stars only because the house is a little older and tired in parts, eg the furniture, walls, etc. Although it was very clean on arrival.

Family holiday

A perfect place for a holiday with our extended family- 7 adults and 6 children! The house is really well equipped and maintained, great sleeping accommodation and a variety of living spaces - plenty of space. The cottage was very clean and well looked after. Extremely spacious and loved the games room . Sat outside and had a bbq, lovely outdoor space with beautiful views. Walked through the fields to Gargrave and had a lovely lunch at a local pub. Would certainly recommend this cottage to families with all age groups.

Excellent weekend away

We were a group of 12 staying for the weekend to walk the Yorkshire 3 Peaks. We had to delay our original booking due to COVID-19. Communication with the owner was easy. The house was perfect for our stay. It was well equipped and everything was to a high standard. Everyone had a fantastic stay and enjoyed the local area which is lovely. We would all highly recommend staying here.

The Perfect Retreat for Discovering Yorkshire

We had the best 5 days in Yorkshire, discovering the incredible landscape and all it has to offer each day, from the warmth and comfort of a wonderful home from home! Debs was the perfect host providing everything we needed including showing the kids her horses and some much needed recipe ingredients for us! We felt relaxed and revived, in the peace and quiet of a beautiful house with an abundance of space. Debs recommendations for local places to eat were spot on, especially the Bull at Broughton! We’d all come again.

Fantastic place

From the initial enquiry, booking and stay out communication with Deb has been amazing - she does a fantastic job. We booked the house for my wife’s 50th Birthday celebrations and we had an amazing time. The house has absolutely everything you need for a remote weekend. The settings is idyllic and beautiful.
