Very nice property with parking & excellent host. Walking distance to so many great places in downtown. Very comfortable with all the amenities one could want.
This apartment was so cute and the pictures don’t do it justice. Decor is very well appointed and bed is extremely comfortable. It is centrally located and can walk right downtown!
This location was perfect for a quick weekend. Even though it is on the 1st floor, it was very quite (just a little street noise). Within walking distance of downtown Roanoke and many bars/restaurants. Very clean!
We’re a retired couple and we really enjoyed our long-weekend stay at this ground-floor property. It was easy to access, spotless, tastefully decorated, comfortable, and walkable to everything. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook/eat there. There’s ample parking in an adjacent lot that made it easy for us to drive to nearby trailheads. If you’re a light sleeper, use a nighttime sound machine to help reduce the vehicle-traffic noise. We’d definitely stay here again.

Great apartment in Roanoke
Jill was friendly and helpful from the beginning of our communications. The unit was easy to find and located very conveniently near downtown Roanoke and right off the highway. The one bedroom apartment had everything I needed for a monthlong stay, including pots and pans, utensils, cleaning supplies, etc. It is located just a few minutes drive from Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, and a couple minutes drive from tons of restaurants and stores in downtown Roanoke. There is also a trolley that will take you around Roanoke, although I never tried it. It's a block away from a park with lots of festivals. There is some siren noise as the fire station is a few blocks away, but it never bothered me, if you're sensitive to this you can bring earplugs, but some noise is understandable as the location is very central. The apartment is also about a twenty minute drive from the McAfee Knob and Dragon's Tooth trailheads, both of which are great trails. The apartment was clean, spacious, and nicely decorated, it was everything I needed for my month in Roanoke. I would definitely stay here again!

Dirty and loud
We were told not to check in until three at the earliest because of the thorough cleaning they had to give the place. And yet, there was dust and grime all over the place, on the fans, in the bathroom, on the carpet which clearly hadn't been vacuumed, in the bathroom vent, and the shower curtain liner was filthy and reeked of mildew. Because this is an older place, we could hear our upstairs neighbor stomping around. And the street noise is really something else. The closeness to downtown was wonderful, but the neighborhood is loud. I had some questions for the owner and received no reply.
If noise is of no concern to you (we actually slept fine with the use of industrial earplugs, but trying to relax or watch something was difficult with sirens and and the citizens of Roanoke's love for thunderous car engines), it is a perfectly efficient place to stay, but we are pretty upset about the filth, especially with the late check-in and the cleaning fee.

Response from VrboOwner on 15 June 2021
Brae had asked for an early check-in and we had someone who checked out the same day and tried to accommodate upon 4 other cleanings that day. Typically it’s not a problem for early check-in’s but we may have to eliminate due to the time restraints. Shower curtain has been replaced, and extreme deep clean has taken place. All issues have been addressed and up to our standards as a super host. This is a historic older building located in downtown Roanoke. For future guest, There are city noises expected being downtown.
Cozy cute one bedroom apartment. Everything was clean and functional with a previous century decor that's charming. Building location was difficult to find if not familiar with Roanoke.
Easy checkin, good and quick communication with owner, wonderful location in walking distance of everything we wanted to do. Cute place with plenty of room for the two of us. Thank you!
Brief Observations for Maximum Future Satisfaction at a Lovely Property:
Beautiful property as pictured; Parking included! BUT: Towels shed; Bath rug wet upon check-in; Dust on bookshelves & ceiling fan blades; Kitchen counter, outside oven door, and wall behind chair in living room had unclean streaks; Faded black stain on right corner of bedspread at headboard; Floors unswept of all debris. Given cleaning fee, I expected a near spotless environment. Otherwise, I would stay again.:-)) Great price and location with all amenities!!
The property is conveniently located near the Greenways and Downtown Roanoke. We were able to bike from the property one block to the Mill Mountain Greenway. We also walked downtown every night for dinner. The condo was perfect for the two of us. The owner was easy to reach when we had a question. We would definitely consider staying here again.
Really enjoyed staying here. Place was very clean and comfortable. Nice location and close to everything. Bed was very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
This is a nice, clean and convenient option for downtown Roanoke. The building was secure, parking was easy and walking distance to most of downtown area.
We had two teachers stay here on different weeks, both said we had spoiled them with this accommodation. Thank you
