The cottage was lovely and an excellent location to explore not only Sterling but the Trossach trail as well. Recommend the pub by the brilliant falls in Killin, try the smoke house on site.
Nice house near Stirling in a quiet village. Friendly host who answered questions quickly. Simple check in and out process. Spacious place with plenty of room and the means for my adult son to enjoy some steaks. Ample shower space. Nearby Coop and store a quick walk from the house. Fun, friendly dog enjoyed as well.
This property is true to the pictures. It was clean and comfortable. There was an enormous amount of space for the two of us.
The property owners, Sean and Mairi were incredibly helpful and kind.

Perfect Location and Charming Apt.
We loved our stay in Stirling. The apartment was spacious yet cozy and everything we needed was right at hand. We picked Stirling because it is a terrific, central location -- a little over an hour to Edinburgh and about half that to Glasgow. Stirling Castle was the best castle we visited in our five week trip throughout the British Isles -- so don't miss it!
The location to Stirling was great. Very quiet. Siri had a hard time finding it (not sure why). Also, we suggested to owners put their number of the side of the house which faces the street since the picture shows the front which is not the street view.

Gas boiler had failed inspection so no hot water during stay. Could not find gas boiler so assume it was next door- certificates were out of date anyway. Owners did best by providing electric heaters. Kitchen and bathroom described as modern on website but both are old and in need of updating. Electric shower was either freezing or so hot, danger of scalding. Oven in kitchen very worn and throws out cold air as you stand in front of it. Laminate floor taped down where it is beginning to lift with age. We had to boil water to take through to bathroom for washing but no door handles on two interior doors. You have to use finger nails to pull open one of the doors. Bed linen was clean but again old. Pillows were lumpy. Poor lighting in bedroom, no overhead lighting at all in conservatory. No privacy in bedroom which is a few feet from pedestrians and main road, had to keep curtains pulled. Hairdryer smells as if it is on its way out. Chairs in dining room uncomfortable and not as photos. No milk provided. No kitchen roll. Key safe not attached- you could walk off with it. The sitting room was pleasantly decorated and comfortable, however CD player didn’t work. We expected a much better standard for the cost of staying at this property. This was our first time booking with Vrbo. Vrbo need to make an inspection as it reflects very poorly on this booking site.

Issues to consider
Overall the property was good to stay in however the following issues should be considered.
The pillows were extremely lumpy and unusable.
The quilt cover was too big for the quilt that made sleeping uncomfortable.
The security lights from the joinery business across the road shone into the main bedroom all night as the blinds did not provide coverage and there were no curtains.
It was difficult to pull the blinds down as there was no drawing mechanisms.
The postcode using Google maps does take you to the address.
There was minimal information about the facilities in the cottage for example the TV and the surrounding area, health services, cafes and restaurants.
Nice little cottage in a pleasant area. Very kind and helpful owners. Great for children. Comfortable beds. Handy for parks and getting into Sterling city. Some furniture and rooms could benefit from a makeover.
My wife and daughter and I had a great stay at this lovely cottage just outside Stirling. It was my wife’s 60th birthday and we were able to use this as a base for a weekend of celebrations and host family members who had journeyed from different areas. The cottage was perfect for our needs and the owners who were on-site made us feel very welcome and did all they could to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend this for a great wee break or an extended holiday in this area.
We really enjoyed our stay in your comfortable 2 bedroom cottage. It is within easy driving of Stirling, Duone Castle, Falkirk and the Trossacks yet is in a quiet location for a good night’s sleep. Well equipped with all the mod cons plus character.

Larger than expected, Great and Helpful Hosts
We flew in to Edinburgh from the US on a Wednesday morning. We knew we could not check in straight away, so we did some sight seeing and arrived in Cambusbarron at check in time.
Pat, Miara's mother, had just finished turning the place around. We talked with her for a while and enjoyed our conversation very much. Later when Miara arrived home from work, we spoke and she was so kind.
All went well. There were a few things that we could not figure out on our own and either she or Sean would help us sort things out. We were only there for two days, would like to have stayed longer.
The windows were so clean, it looked like they were open.
We did not use the kitchen much, but we're thankful for the things that were there for our use.
We did not know that there was a back sun room. We loved being out there. The places is very spacious. There is a Coop nearby, within walking distance, also a local pub that we had too much fun at.
Highly recommend.

Beautiful, Comfortable, and Relaxing Home
We loved everything about this place starting with great communication with the owner. Upon our arrival we noticed not only milk and coffee were left for us, but also other treats as well. The owner was out of town at the time, but he made sure we were left in great hands in his absence. They were very friendly and accommodating!
The home was very clean, the beds, pillows, and furniture were all very comfortable! We often used an extra sitting area that had a beautiful view, again with comfortable furniture!
One of the rooms was a little tight, but that was no problem as we were out touring for most of our stay.
When we return to Stirling we will definitely stay there again! I HIGHLY recommend this BEAUTIFUL home!
