Thank you so much, Lynel! We’re thrilled you enjoyed the vintage stereo and vinyl collection, it’s one of our favorite parts of the space too. We love hearing that our space helped you unplug and slow down. Thanks for choosing to stay with us, and we’d be happy to host you again anytime!
We had a lovely stay! It's situated in a quiet neighborhood in the woods and is incredibly quiet. The house was clean and inviting and our daughter loved the record player. We will be back in the future.

So glad you had a lovely stay and that your daughter had a good time getting "old school" with the record player, it’s one of our favorites.
We’d love to host you again anytime!
A clean, wonderful retro house with everything needed for a memorable stay
Everyone walked in the door and smiled. A perfectly equipped home in the woods with a wall of glass looking at the forest. Comfortable with everything needed, plus an eclectic vinyl collection and a vintage console stereo.
Cute, mid-century cabin in the woods. Thank you for allowing pets. We brought our sweet French bulldog. We loved the record player and listening to a diverse range of albums. Prime location to lakes. Anderson Island had great restaurants and we enjoyed listening to live blues music with the Island's residents and guests.Overall I would stay here again and recommend this to family and friends.

Amazing
My family had a great time. We used there crab pots and had crab each day. We ended up getting 15 crab right off the dock marina.

15 crabs?!? We don't catch that many when we take the boat to the "secret" crabbing grounds. So glad that you has a good time.

The house was super spacious and perfect for a relaxing week with the family.
We had a great stay at Anderson Island. Super relaxing. The house was clean, spacious and a great place for our family to get away. Our kids loved the bunk beds, and the record player and record collection was icing on the cake. We would finish the day with games while kicking back with some great tunes. We definitely would stay here again.

Fun weekend in a really unique house.
We had a great time in this unique home. It was very comfortable. LOVED the phonograph—we had music playing from the minute we got up until we went to bed! So nostalgic for us 50ish year olds.
We were disappointed that the jenga game and cornhole boards weren’t there.
I do have a few suggestions: Update the paperwork you send, some of it doesn’t pertain anymore, and I wish I’d known that the parks aren’t dog friendly. The kitchen needs lots more towels and new pots and pans-most are too trashed to use. As far as cleanliness goes-it was pretty clean. But for all the charges, I think the two decks could have been swept, the windowsills in the bedrooms could have the bugs and cobwebs cleaned out, and the shower curtain liner in the master bedroom needs replacing.

Hello Julie!
Glad you had a good stay and were enjoying the record collection.
Sorry about not having the jenga and the cornhole boards out. You were the first reservation of the season and we spaced it.
Wish I had known you brought pups, I would have given you some notes on which parks are dog-friendly. I'll review the info packet and add that info and make some adjustments for future guests.
Re: the decks, those were recently swept but every time the wind blows the slightest bit it rains pine needles, branches, and pine cones. It's a never-ending battle.
I'll chat with the house keep regarding those other issues as there should be no cobwebs anywhere and there should be about a dozen dish towels in the kitchen.
Kind regards,
Deirdre + Bob
We felt like we were walking into a treehouse. It was incredible! There were four of us women that each found something unique and special that related to us. As a group we were in love with space. The woodwork throughout is breathtaking. The music and simple clean designs keep your focus on nature and yet we found this a fun environment. The space allows for easy focus on peacefulness, friendship, sing alongs and lots of conversation. With many hours at the table sharing food (simple and adequately stocked kitchen) and and stories of nature (from viewing from the deck to neighborhood walks) and wildlife, we felt this home embraced us all. I shared the island with my friends, visiting the Johnson Farm, the beautiful trees and of course the lakes. I even enjoyed my usual island dip. It was lovely and never disappoints. I highly recommend this precious hideaway. What an absolute delight!!!
This property was exactly my kind of vibe—nostalgic, vintage, peaceful, and full of charm. If you love cozy places with character, you’ll probably enjoy staying here as much as I did.The property itself was quiet, relaxing, and surrounded by beautiful nature. One of my favorite things was seeing deer casually roaming through the neighborhood. It made the experience feel even more special and helped me reconnect with nature in a way I wasn’t expecting. The hosts were very communicative and helpful throughout our stay, which made everything go smoothly. One thing future guests should keep in mind is the ferry schedule. I knew about the ferry before arriving because I had read the listing, but experiencing it in person was different. The ferry schedule can definitely impact your plans, especially if you like staying out late. Make sure you pay close attention to the ferry times and plan accordingly so you don’t miss the last trip back to the island. We also found that some local businesses and attractions were only open on weekends, and because we were working around the ferry schedule, we didn’t get to explore as much as we had hoped. That’s not a negative about the property just something worth knowing when planning your trip.Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The trip went by much too fast! Washington is absolutely beautiful, and I fell in love with the forests, mountains, scenic views, and peaceful atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone
This house could not have been more perfect for our stay. With 4 adults and 3 kids the layout was ideal. Bunkroom and bedrooms were laid out well and beds were comfy. The kitchen is huge and was great for prepping big family meals. The house was stocked well with everything we needed and we also enjoyed a few records. This area of the island might be my new favorite. So quiet and little peak views of the water through the trees. We say a lot of deer and enjoyed walking to the park and just sitting on the porch with the birds. I highly recomend this property. We had a great stay.
The house was fun for our family. Nice porch and loved the record player! House could use a deep clean in kitchen and bathrooms. Owners were friendly, helpful and responsive.
Simply and well decorated. Comfortable beds. Great location.

Amazing property!
We’ve VRBOd our way through Europe and all over the States and Canada. This was probably the best property yet.
Tastefully decorated.
Beyond stocked. We wanted for nothing.
Clean. Even when I stripped the bedsheets at end of stay, I was amazed at how new and clean the mattresses were.
Speaking of, the beds were so comfy.
Great layout for two small families. We each had a bathroom to ourselves and the bunks were great for the kids.
The location was fun. Walking to playground for kids, short drive to off-leash dog park, and short drive to a pretty hike down to the beach. (No dogs allowed on this hike or the beach)
And last but not least, owner was SO quick with responses to our questions.
Thank you so much!!! Will definitely be back.

A pleasant place, but had some issues.
First, what we liked: the Jenga and corn hole are fun additions. The location is convenient, and the king size bed was pretty comfortable. The bunk room is also pretty neat. The owners responded quickly to questions.
The issues: 1. Cleanliness. The property did not feel clean (dead bugs, sheets that had to be washed upon arrival due to smell on the smaller adult bed). 2. The property listing lists "television," and "wireless internet" as amenities. There is no television and no wireless internet. We rolled with the lack of TV, but when we arrived I messaged the owner to inquire about Wifi details, and her reply text opened with (this is a direct explicit quote) "No Wifi!!! It's an off the grid retreat!" which landed as a little rude and morally superior considering we were asking for an amenity that is EXPLICITLY listed. Even if it weren't, Wifi is hardly an extreme assumption in 2018 that would call for a four exclamation mark reply.
Overall, we wouldn't book again. The area is great but this property was not a good experience.

A great house. Had a lot of fun. Nice stroll down memory lane with the turntable. Although I wasn't sure if I could make it work without a stack of quarters. Maybe it's just my record collection.

Gorgeous house, gracious host
We loved this house, it is so beautiful, hip (without being hipster), and fun. We came with our three teenage boys and did absolutely nothing. It was glorious. The fireplace is big, the beds are comfy, and the kitchen is well-equiped. (Sharp knives! Such a rarity!) All of the questions we asked were answered swiftly and the people we met in the neighborhood were friendly. I loved sitting out on the back porch at dusk watching the bats. We would definitely come here to do nothing again.
