Great location, good value, and great communication with the owner. Worked perfectly for our group (two families with multiple kids 4-8yrs old). Will definitely look to return next year.
The location and neighborhood was wonderful. Couldn't have been better for what we were looking for. The size of the rooms and layout were great. A few of the bed mattresses were very firm. Overall, we had a great time and were very satisfied with the property.
Well maintained 5-bedroom house with plenty of room. Large bedrooms, Open concept living area with a dining area easily capable of for 8 people. Great deck going the length of the front house with a view of a salt pond and beautiful sunsets. All my favorite beaches and restaurants within minutes or others 15 minutes away or so. Great for families or adults. Very quiet neighborhood. I once owned in Narragansett and then rented. Have vacationed there for over 50 years. This place is a gem, especially with responsive owners who take pride in their home. Definitely would like to go back.
Location is excellent. House is spacious. View is nice. Clean and uncluttered with a great eat in kitchen. Plenty of room for family meals. Close to beach and attractions.
Our family absolutely loved staying here. Everything was clean and just as advertised on the VRBO site. Beautiful view of the pond and lots of room for our family of 5. The property owners were wonderful hosts! Our family felt like this was our home away from home. It was short distance to the beach and convenient location to anywhere we wanted to go. Beautiful sunsets from the balcony too :) Thank you for allowing us to stay at this property.
You have a very nice place for vacations great area everything close nice & clean neighborhood met some neighbors they were very polite to us and they had some good things to say about our staying we enjoyed every minute of it we hope to get a chance to rent again Tku
We had family coming from Texas, my two brothers, and wanted an opportunity to meet in RI where we grew up. A wonderful house, owners and area! Our nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and great nieces were able to come at different times and enjoy a peaceful, loving time together! Definitely would rent from Alan and his wife again!
The house is very spacious, clean, light and well appointed.
It is in a quiet cul-de-sac with a view of the bay from the balcony, where we loved watching sunsets.
It is just 5 minutes from our favorite beach, Salty Brine in Galilee, with soft sand, quiet and crystal clear water, and yummy lobster rolls! We also took the ferry to Block Island, as well as a fishing trip, from there.
We loved walking the scenic coastline by Black Point, also 5 minutes from the house, as well as the Narragansett Sea Wall.
Further afield, we enjoyed Ninigret Park, Newport mansions and New Bedford.

Great location, but the property itself is not kept up. While it was relatively clean, the home was not well appointed, with very little furniture or comforts of a home to enjoy (e.g., no bedside tables or lamps in any of the rooms). We were very concerned about the safety of the deck, which was extremely unstable and bouncy. We had children in our group and I was very very concerned that the balcony was going to fall the entire week. Windows and window frames were broken in many of the rooms due to rot and the subfloors in bathrooms were compromised and bouncing. If you are just looking for a crash pad, this is a good spot, but I would just want to let other families know of some of the safety concerns we noted.

You can’t please everyone.
These people are not engineers the deck is engineered to be cantilevered so it’s safe. The deck was approved by the building department. The house has central air so two windows should not be a problem. This house is rented every week in the summer . The living room has 3 full couches & the five bedrooms all have queen size beds. This group is way off base.
Plus side -The house was clean (I did wash all the mattress pads as they didn't look clean) and kitchen was well equiped. House was in a quiet neighborhood and within 5 -10 minutes driving to Scarborough Beach and Stop & Shop.
My only complaint was that decor was quite lacking! The 4 bedrooms down stairs and nothing besides a bed and dresser - no bedside tables or lamps, only an overhead ceiling light. One lamp in the living room! I bought a new tablecloth for the dining table down the street at Homegoods as the one on it was sticky and had holes. Another plus was the big dining room table that sat ten - great for dinners and playing cards.

Good location, but management needs improvement
We were optimistic about this house given the few other positive reviews and central location. On arrival we were disappointed to find that the property had not been cleaned sufficiently, with dirty floors, hair in the bathtub etc. The interior desperately needs a coat of paint - the walls are badly discolored, dinged / scuffed, and decorated only with the nails of pictures that once hung there. Our overall impression was the same as arriving at a cheap motel: well-suited to college kids but not a family enjoying their precious few vacation days.
In the end we spent about 2 hours sweeping, mopping, and cleaning the house. After politely informing the owner of this, we were dismayed to receive a non-apology that suggested we were either incorrect about the house's condition or complaining too much. This was an additional disappointment, given that we provided photographic evidence of the piles of dirt and are experienced VRBO-ers who have never provided anything but 5-star reviews in the past. In the end the owners opted not to charge us for linens (which are $12.50/bed for sheets, and $5/towel), which seemed like a minor concession given that the vast majority of properties don't charge for these items in the first place.
Positives: Plenty of room for a large family, safe for small children, nice quiet lane, great balcony with a partial view of the water. Just a 5-10 minute drive from all the great beaches, restaurants, shopping etc.

We have rented this house for 25 years with the same cleaning crew. This is the first complaint ever. I guess you can’t pleae unresonable people who fabricate complaints to get a discount.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property! Alan was a terrific host and very easy to contact when needed. The place was spotless and in great location to the beaches, Newport, and Cape Cod. The rooms were spacious and clean and Ed had everything we needed. Highly recommend!
The checkin went very smoothly. Property was ready upon our arrival. Great neighborhood; quiet and very nicely kept. Short distance to beaches and right off main drive. Plenty of room for parking multiple cars. Bedrooms are located on first level with open concept of kitchen/living room on 2nd level. Appliances are updated. Bedrooms all have good closet space; my suggestion would be to add night stand in all bedrooms and hangers available. For guests traveling from out of area would not be traveling with hangers. Overall, we had a very enjoyable vacation with family.
Perfectly located. Very spacious. Peaceful neighborhood - but near everything.
Alan was wonderful and very accommodating. Will certainly come again when we need our next Rhode Island beach therapy. Thanks!
