Less than 250 steps to the closest coastal access and world class surf, close to downtown, and easy and scenic 10 minute walk to the world famous Boardwalk, Santa Cruz main beach, and municipal wharf. The garden cottage is very charming, and is located on the grounds of historic landmark home, Epworth-by-the-sea. The unit was originally built in the late 1800's, and was used as a caretaker's cottage. It comes fully furnished, and includes extended basic cable and dedicated WiFi access. Pets are welcome for additional fee if arranged in advance. Modern amenities with the charm of a bygone era.

This cottage is adorable! It has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The ocean is right around the corner with peeks of the ocean from the cottage. Short walk to the pier and Boardwalk. We will definitely stay here again!
We really loved the location and the cottage. It was charming and cottage being set back from West Cliff. We would highly recommend it to anyone. Our host was responsive and friendly.

Cottage was beautiful, comfy and quiet. The location could not have been more perfect for my time in Santa Cruz. Such a beautiful place right on west cliff drive. Host was awesome.
Spent a week in lovely 1 bedroom with full kitchen. I enjoyed easy access to ocean, bike trails, and the delightful Shrine coffee shop. The fenced patio is a real plus if you are traveling with your dog. I met so many friendly dog folks on our walks each day. Khristina is a wonderful host and I would definitely stay there again.
We were a late booking and Khristina was so easy to contact and work out the last minute logistics. I really appreciated that she text us to see how our first night was and if we needed anything. We just loved this quiet, clean, and perfect little cottage for a sister(s) get away.
This was a great property in an outstanding location. The cottage was nicely appointed with top of the line amenities. This is a very private location with hostess who knows the true meaning of hospitality.
We had a wonderful four day stay at the Victorian Cottage in Santa Cruz. Great location. Great amenities, Great communication with the host. Would highly recommend and we will be back!

The cottage is charming and comfortable. Has everything needed for a short or long stay. Location is close to West Cliff and within easy walking distance of the wharf and Boardwalk. Host is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this location.
Wonderful wonderful cottage! Christina was so helpful and knowledgeable about Santa cruz! The location is beautiful and close to everything but yet far enough that it's quiet and peaceful. I would definitely stay here again if I go to Santa Cruz!
We loved staying in this cottage. It is located near West Cliff and the boardwalk, yet set out of the way, where you have more peace and privacy. Our elderly dog had a great time sniffing the sea air on the patio. Khristina is a perfect host.
Perfect beautiful space. My husband, puppy, and myself went for two weeks. Husband went home early and I stayed and felt so safe and relaxed. Close to everything. Enjoyed walking and being at the Ocean.The cottage was just remodeled and it beautiful!

Homeowner is an extrovert, but takes cues from guests as to how much interaction they would like. I live in the main house, and am available to guests 24/7 to answer any questions you may have about local attractions and activities. Observation of privacy can be expected at all times.
Why they chose this property
Location, location, location! This property is centrally located, and works out very well for those that are interested in experiencing and exploring our beautiful central coast. There is ample room in the adjacent garage (shared space) for the storage of bikes, kayaks, surfboards, or other items you may be bringing with you. Beach towels provided. Private, sunny patio perfect for enjoying morning coffee. Pet friendly, and very well suited for extended stays. Monthly bookings are 30+ nights in duration, and qualify for our lowest rates.
What makes this property unique
Private, stand alone unit with no shared walls. We are close enough to the water that one can easy hear the waves crashing at night, and the occasional barking of the sea lions. :-) We are quite literally less than 250 steps from the nearest coastal access point (Cowell's Beach steps). Full service beach with facilities (showers, bathrooms, etc) is less than 1/4 mile away, and a 10 minute walk. Pet friendly, and four legged visitors seem to love the area as well! Please ask in advance about applicable fees when traveling with your animal companion. Also, we believe in legitimacy, and in providing our guests with peace of mind in knowing that we faithfully observe all rules and taxation principles required in our local Zoning ordinance. Our City of Santa Cruz STR permit number is 18-0089, TOT permit number is 001111.
