This property was amazing, and Mark and Jackie were wonderful hosts! Our kids had a blast fishing in the pond and wading in the creek. The cabin was just the right size for our family of four. It got down into the low 30’s during our visit and the cabin stayed nice and warm. We visited Brevard during our stay and really enjoyed the area. There were plenty of restaurants and interesting shops to visit. My son and I also got to do some fly fishing in the French Broad River. We can’t wait for our next trip to the cabin at Maggie’s Farm.
Everything was clean, easy to find, great and friendly hosts, perfect location in the middle of the "Land of Waterfalls".Awesome stay, would go back in a heartbeat

Mark and Jacquie are the best host ever. The accommodations are exactly as promised and pictured. The location is close to some of the easiest accessible and most beautiful waterfalls. Our family has stayed here a couple of times and we love it more each time we visit. We’ll definitely be back.

Gorgeous quiet property nestled in the land of waterfalls! Super close to Mill Shoals Falls and several other notable falls in the area. Hosts were extremely informative and helpful, communicative and quick to answer any questions. Home was well appointed and beds were very comfortable. The serenity of the property is truly like nothing else and is worth a visit! Thanks so much for a wonderful getaway!
We had a wonderful time at Maggie's farm relaxing in the cozy cottage and enjoying the lovely property including creek along with exploring the nearby trails and waterfalls. Jacquie and Mark were very welcoming and provided helpful information on outdoor spots to check out and communicated so well starting with arrival instructions. We would love to return!
This is our second time staying at the property and just like the first time it was great. Post Hurricane Helene the place is up and running and back to normal. The accommodations and the host are amazing. Quick response, friendly, and very helpful… we will stay again.
We truly enjoyed our stay at the quiet little home on Maggie's Farm. It was very peaceful and the kids loved finding crawfish and other critters in the creek!!! And loved our visits from the sweet hound dog Violet!
We loved our stay at Maggie's Farm. The cabin was immaculate and we had everything we needed. We enjoyed exploring the many creeks around the farm to fly fish. The setting was peaceful and serene and the land was beautiful. The owners added a special touch. We can't wait to return!
This cabin is just a few miles from our house and was rented for family members as we did not have enough room at our home. We all ended up spending some time there relaxing or fishing with grandkids. House was cozy and clean, Mountain View’s were great, Host Mark made sure everyone had what was needed.
We had a wonderful time at Mark and Jacqueline’s cabin. They were so helpful and kind. The cabin was perfect for a laid back, relaxing week. It was well stocked with essentials and a great location with stream, trout pond, and other fun things that entertained our 3 year old son. It was also close to Brevard and the Pisgah National Forest so it gave us plenty of opportunity to go out and explore. We would definitely stay there again!
Perfect vacation spot to reconnect with your partner.
Mark and Jacquie are awesome hosts. The gardens placed throughout the property were amazing from flower beds to veggies. They made us feel at home. We are definitely going back, we have not been so relaxed in a very long time. Thanks to the Hatch’s little piece of paradise.
Maggie's Farm was perfect for our anniversary getaway. The cabin has everything you would need and then some. Mark & Jacquie are wonderful hosts. The best we have ever encountered in all of our travels. The farm is a quaint & peaceful place to rest especially on the deck listening to the creek....my favorite spot. Mark & Jacquie have made their farm a beautiful & tranquil place to rest one's soul. The farm is close to many lakes, hiking spots, & the Blue Ridge Parkway. Close to Brevard which has some very good restaurants. If you ever have an emergency I can personally vouch for the Transylvania Regional Hospital. I got really good care in the ER there. Doctors & nurses were wonderful. If you are considering visiting Maggie's Farm just do it. You won't be disappointed!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maggie's Farm. This is a little piece of God's country nestled in a quiet community far from the hustle and bustle of city life. Mark and Jacquie were excellent hosts who welcomed us warmly and were very hospitable. We truly felt like we gained two new friends during our stay. Highly recommend Maggie's Farm!
What a great place! We stayed a week, there was sun there was rain, and even ice on the grass!
Loved feeding the fish! Pisgah National forest has lots of things to do. Waterfalls, hiking, scenic views, and having a comfortable warm place to return to was fabulous. Mark and Jacquie were wonderful hosts! We plan on returning!
Beautiful area, great location, host very friendly and informative of the area. Cabin clean and well stocked. Everythng is available for your stay and your pets. We were entertained by a big bald eagle that had come in the yard during our stay. We give both our host top ratings. Thank you for having us.
Everything was perfect. Great hosts. Super clean and fully stocked with the little things spices etc. Fun catching trout. We wanted to have a respite from the brutal heat and we got it. All our needs were met and we WILL return.

About the host
Hosted by Mark Hatch
We were tired of the corporate life we were living and just working to pay bills. So we decided to take a leap of faith and buy a cabin in the forest of NC on a cold water creek, just outside of Asheville near the Blue Ridge Parkway. We wanted a more peaceful meaningful life. Mark is originally from Southampton England and Jacquie from Boston Massachusetts. We met in Central Florida working in our busy careers. We decided that when we retired we would buy a farm in the mountains and grow our own food and live off the land. It has been the most peaceful rewarding 10 years of our lives. We have 3 friendly dogs, 2 German Shepherds and a Hound.
Why they chose this property
We spent over a year looking for the perfect property for us. It had to have several things: a creek, high elevation, pasture, forest land, a beautiful town was a must (Brevard), close to activities and near a city (Asheville). This property had all we were looking for and it was on the market for only 72 hours. Living here is like a slice of heaven. There is 5 1/2 acres on Maggie's Farm and we border thousands of acres of Pisgah Forest on 2 sides of the property. We built our home across the creek and in the very back corner of the property. In case of emergency we are just down the road a bit.
What makes this property unique
The back deck is so relaxing, watch and listen to the creek while enjoying a lazy afternoon. Just beyond the creek we border the Pisgah National Forest where there are thousands of acres of forest and trails. Transylvania county is "The Land of Waterfalls" with over 250 waterfalls. The property location is the perfect jumping off point for nearly everything you want to see or do in Western North Carolina and come home to a comfy cabin and bed. There is a stocked rainbow trout pond on property along with 1000+ feet of natural cold water stream with brown trout running through the farm directly behind the cabin. Maggie's Farm has blackberries, blueberries and raspberries for picking. We grow a wide variety of fruits and vegetables which can be eaten while on your stay. You can actually have a full dinner all from food grown right here on the farm during the harvest season.
