We had an incredible Christmas week in this home. The location was perfect. There was plenty of sleeping spaces for our crowd! The kitchen was well stocked and having two refrigerators was great. The only complaint is that the home could use a good cleaning and some maintenance.

Great place to stay with a large group. Plenty of beds, large and updated kitchen, clean hot tub and lots of parking. But do not expect the home itself to be luxurious… beds/bedding are uncomfortable and outdated and it could’ve been cleaner. The garage was piled with 12 full trash bags and very stinky when we arrived. We were there on a peak weekend but it was honestly pretty expensive for the quality of the home. Good place to book but manage your expectations.
Nice house, plenty of room for our party of 13. Kitchen is well equipped. The deck is great for outdoor eating in the evening. Adequate parking for 3 or 4 vehicles. The only downside is that the house is within a few hundred yards of the highway, so there was some traffic noise. I suppose if you are from the city you wouldn't notice it.
Our first time in Winter Park and we loved it. We usually stay in the Dillion/Frisco area, but found the WO area not as crowded, plenty of activities to do, and family friendly.
Huge house with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate a large group! There was clutter in lots of the bedrooms and closets and the overall cleanliness was not to the standard we typically see at other rentals. The grills did not work and the screens on the sliding doors would not stay on the tracks. Overall, a fine place with many beds for our large group!

Had a great time for a girls weekend, "bachelorette" party for my daughter, the house could use some updating and organization, blinds are broken kitchen is disorganized, and just some overall updates would be good, also could use some pest spray as there were SEVERAL spiders in the home, since it was warm and no AC in the house the windows were opened and there was a lot of road noise, but in the winter that wouldn't be an issue, we had a good time plenty of areas to sleep and it was beautiful up here! Thank you for a great weekend!!!
Nice property for a big group: the hot tub, kitchen, etc was very clean. We had a great time and will plan on returning!
Good location for whitewater rafting, skiing and hiking

Great property with wonderful mountain views
We really enjoyed our time in Granby with 20 of our closest family members. The property was a perfect fit. It was clean, big enough to accommodate us all, close to nearby attractions and placed in a great mountain setting.

our family had an awesome time
we had a wonderful stay, it was the first time in 7 years that all 19 of us were together, so we spent a lot of time at the home, just playing games, hid in seek, cooking together, making our favorites foods, grilling, hanging out on the deck, taking walks in the area, and enjoyed exploring in the mountains.

Thank-you for the nice review. The deck is absolutely one of my favorite places to relax and unwind. And I'm glad that our home could be a part of your summer family plans!
Great classic chalet with plenty of space and wonderful mountain views! Our group of 13 had tons of room to spread out. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and relaxing in the hot tub. The location is perfectly situated between Winter Park/Fraser and Granby/Grand Lake, so there plenty of options for activities within a 15 minute drive of the property!
Stayed with a high school cross country team training at altitude for 2 weeks. Bunk room in the basement was ideal for a large group. Large great room could fit 16 people for conversations around the gas log fire. Beautiful views and a great stay.

Thanks Richard! We enjoyed having your group at our property!
We had a retreat for those in our organization who live and work in Colorado. The Winter Park Highlands was spacious enough for our whole group to gather. While 13 stayed on the property and 3 commuted locally, we all could gather in the spacious room and have meals together. Ideal setting for a retreat.

Andrew and his group were very respectful of our home. We welcome them back anytime.
I rented this house for a 30th birthday get away. It was the perfect size for the amount of people that joined us we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. I would highly recommend for larger groups. The view was gorgeous, we spent most of our time sitting around the fire pit enjoying the Colorado sunset!
It was large enough for four families with kids. The kitchen had plenty of room and utensils in order to prepare food for our whole group. Big table was used for eating and big card games. There were plenty of beds for our group of 17. There were still beds unused. We enjoyed our stay!

About the host
Hosted by Jason Brown
Our family haa called Colorado home for over 15 years. Ten years ago, when our kids were preschoolers, we started taking weekend trips together to Winter Park and Fraser in the hopes that the little ones would eventually like to ski. Today, ten years later, we can't keep up with our kids on the steep and deep terrain Winter Park has to offer. And, we simply can't imagine any better place for a family vacation that right here at the base of the Rocky Mountains. We hope your family enjoys your time together in our home as much as we have enjoyed watching our kids grow up here.
Why they chose this property
We looked a long time before finally deciding to purchase and rent this beautiful home. Some places in Winter Park and Fraser are townhomes. Although new and nice, they don't offer the quiet tranquility that typically brings people to the Rockies. Some places in Fraser are large mountain mansions that come at a premium. With kids, we always found that we'd rather have the money to spend on activities. Our home, with 5 bedrooms, is perfectly situated in a quiet community above Tabernash. Just 15 minutes from Winter Park, 5 minutes from Devil's Thumb ranch, and 35 minutes to Lake Granby, we think you'll agree that our Family Rocky Mountain Retreat is perfectly situated for all the activities your family will want to do in the mountains this year. Lots of restaurants and bars are close by, the grocery store is 5 minutes away, and yet when you are sitting on the deck looking at the stars, you'll feel like you are the only one around.
What makes this property unique
When we first bought the home we loved the rustic woodwork and wrap-around deck. The kids love running around outside, hanging out on the first floor, or splashing in the outdoor hot tub. We hope that our home with its incredible views and proximity to everything will inspire your own family adventures.
