This home is exactly as photographed and that's good! It's in a rural area and beware that MapQuest steers you the wrong way. The driveway is partially paved (full of potholes) becomes a dirt driveway, and is also very steep. Something you don't know until you book...upon arrival you have to turn on the water and the electricity which is fine if your hubby is handy like mine. As for the title, this is a family home that the owners want to use to make some money, meaning it feels lived in verses a clean and decorated home catering to guests only. Some of the furnishings and décor are a bit outdated. Unfortunately for us, the house was not cleaned thoroughly for our visit; the toilet had urine on it, there was dirt on the floor, crumbs on the carpet, personal laundry left in the dryer, and the twin bunks were a mess with the spreads and pillows tossed haphazardly on. The king bedspread had a sizeable hole in it. One smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling. Note: there are no curtains in the house, so be prepared to be awake at sunrise. I am self employed, take care of 15+ vacation homes in a tourist town, and I was a bit disappointed as this house was not quite ready for guests. The positives... peaceful setting, quiet area, the king bed was very cozy with a nice mattress topper on it, plenty of kitchen contents for cooking, comfy sofa, plenty of firewood for a nice fire, and pets are allowed.
