Our stay was wonderful. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The deck is fabulous. We saw many ships (get the MarineTraffic app to see when the ships will be in the area) and heard loons in the morning and evening. Highly recommend staying here. We will be back next year !
Cottage was average could use updated appliances a window air conditioner in the bedroom would be useful. Overall okay.

Response from VrboOwner on 30 July 2025
From the Owner: "I’m sorry to hear that you felt the cottage was “average,” as most guests love the waterfront location with its panoramic views of the St. Lawrence River, beautiful sunsets, and proximity to walking paths, Clayton attractions, and restaurants. During the summer, there is typically a refreshing breeze off the river, which is why many cottages in the area, including ours, do not have air conditioning. We do provide ceiling fans in the living room and kitchen, as well as a window fan in the bedroom for added comfort. All of the appliances are currently in good working order, but I’d be happy to hear which ones you felt could use updating so we can consider improvements. Thank you for sharing your feedback."

Great getaway
What a great place. Clean and cozy. Very impressed with amenities. Would love to visit again.
We had a wonderful time while staying at this cottage on the River. Fantastic views and gorgeous sunsets! The owner, Mary, was great to work with. Hope to return in the future.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this cottage. The cottage was updated and very, very clean. We lived on the wrap around porch and waited for the ships that passed right by.

Awesome waterfront property, view and setting.
What a wonderful, spacious, peaceful and private waterfront setting. Lots of dining and activity choices in nearby Clayton and Alexandria Bay. Has a very nice neighborhood ambiance and the nearby Zenda Farm Preserve was great for our pet walks and exercise.

A beautiful spot in the St Lawrence!
We found the cottage to be clean and well equipped. The view from this cottage cannot be beat! Mary and Rick were very accommodating.
We totally enjoyed our stay. Perfect weather, amazing views, clean cottage all added up to just what we wanted. Proximity to Village of Clayton was a real plus. Cottage was well supplied, cosy and private. We are hoping to go back in the Fall.
Get ready to relax and watch the ships go by. Large one bedroom cottage.

Great location
Great location, Close to town yet quiet and remote Close to Zenda Farm Preserve. Great Cycling on the back country roads. My wife enjoyed the tennis with some women that our landlady introduced her to.
Amazing! The area is great to explore but it was nice to come back to the cottage and just relax in peace and quiet. It had everything we needed. The view was wonderful, even when it was raining. Clean and cozy. The owner was always in touch and helpful. Looking to stay again.

This cottage is adorable. Just the right size for a getaway. The best part is the huge wrap a round deck. The ships pass right in front! In a beautiful setting too.

Secluded spot with beautiful views
We stayed at this property for our 10th wedding anniversary. It was a perfect spot for two people looking for a quiet long weekend. Beautiful views of the river but still in a private cove. Only a few minutes drive to the Village of Clayton. The owner was very nice to deal with.
