PIONEER MEADOW: The cabins at Pioneer Meadow are antique log cabins made of poplar, oak, and chestnut logs purchased throughout the south and restored to their original beauty. The logs were numbered, transported to our property and reassembled.

HISTORY: The original Robinette (named for it's founding family) was built in Blackwater, Virginia, circa 1800. It was last sold in 1900 for $1 to a couple who promised to take care of the owners of the property until they died. They raised 6 children in this loft cabin. We added an old smokehouse to the bottom floor to serve as a master bedroom.

LOCATION:
5 miles from Pigeon Forge, Tn off Wears Valley Road. Off the beaten path, this gravel road will take you up the mountain (don't worry, the steepest part is paved) to a beautiful meadow. Convenient to the tourist attractions of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, a short drive to Smoky Mountain National Park but secluded enough that you can hear a car driving in from a mile away.

All payments are due in full at time of booking. Payments are made through VRBO's Homeaway Payments. Homeaway automatically puts a hold on those funds. If we are forced to decline your reservation for any reason, the hold on your funds will take 5 to 7 business days to release. This is VRBO's Homeaway Payments policy. The cabin was great! It was an adventure staying in a 200 year old Pioneer cabin. No worries it had all the modern amenities. Heat & air. Fully functional kitchen. Two bathrooms one with shower and a jacuzzi tub in the other. It has a large fire place which was really nice on the cold nights we had during our stay. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our stay!

Cozy cabin. Very comfortable bed in master. We didn’t spend a lot of time at the cabin because we had a short 3 night stay but we loved everything about the cabin. Getting to the cabin could be a real problem with ice or snow on the ground. Steep hills and very sharp curves in tight spots to get to the cabin

Cabin was very nice we had six in our party enough room for all very clean and well kept was very excited to see the cabin built many years ago didnt see any wildlife ,very peaceful,the road was aliitle difficult in the dark for we didn't arive until 1:30 in the morning but overall had a grwat time

The cabin is so neat! Go to their website to read the history. It is very private. Only 3 other cabins. Kitchen is stocked with cookware, utensils and plates. Take dish soap, dishwasher tablets, paper towels, napkins. Plenty of towels and washcloths. Take hand soap and body soap. Air conditioning and heating unit works perfect. It's pet friendly. Plenty of room outside for pets and kids! Host is awesome! He makes sure you have all the details and directions to the cabin. Our family of 6 throughly enjoyed our stay.

Very remote off the main highway, with a very pleasant location. Cabin was roomy and comfortable. Although no wifi available, Verizon phone and internet had a strong signal. Direct TV satellite was provided. Definitely recommended!
