Lady Bird Lake Trail Guest House - Holly - Weekly Discount

Escape to this private studio, detached from our main home. The Lady Bird Lake hike & bike trail is right outside, where you can use our bikes, paddleboards, and kayaks.

Open the blackout shades to feel suspended among the trees and watch Monk parakeets and other birds. Organic mattress, butcher block countertops, spacious shower. The apartment is above our 2-car garage, and while it makes great use of space, it is tight for 3 or 4 guests. 2G Google Fiber Wi-Fi.

You are welcome to use the pool if the main house is not rented. The house tends to rent only on weekends during the high seasons.

Awesome stay

We loved Sarah's place, perfect location near activities, restaurants and breweries (our favorite), required little to no driving. Communication, check in/out all a breeze would definitely stay again. The trail around the lake is right in front of the house, great way to get in some exercise and combat the great food/drink in the neighborhood.

We had a great stay. The location was perfect for us with quick access to the bike trail and walking and riding distance to restaurants. Easy access to downtown. Many music venues. Sarah was easy to communicate with and kind enough to let us use a bike which came in super handy . We even got to see her sing at The Elephant Room - worth checking out!

Wonderful stay

Sarah was fantastic to work with. The pool was great for our grandkids. They were welcomed into the pool even when Sarah's family was using the pool. The unit was very very clean. We would recommend this unit, location and most of all a wonderful host.

Cozy & Comfortable with nice vibe.

Clean, well stocked for 2. Nice decor, extra large shower. Private detached from main house with secure parking. Sarah is responsive and attentive. Slight concerns are no washcloths, steep stair access, low ceiling line near bed. Even so, we would definitely stay there again.

Austin loft

Cute place, as advertised with amenities, and really sweet host. Sarah asked several times if there was anything we needed and we did borrow bicycles two days in a row. Only minor complaints: The parking is very tight for large vehicle, alley leading up to parking space also very tight and rutty. Loft head room is also very minimal with all the roof angles. But we managed and had a fun stay even with some inclement weather the first couple days. Good location for access to lake and greenway, as well as city and airport. Thank you, Sarah!

Perfect little spot

We really enjoyed staying in Sarah's garage apartment in Austin! It was in a great neighborhood in East Austin -- right where we wanted to be. We were there during a freeze, but the heat in the apartment worked awesome! Sarah was so helpful while we stayed there. If you're renting a car I would choose a smaller SUV or a sedan. We had a large SUV and it was a bit tricky getting into the driveway. Also, if you're planning on cooking in the kitchen, the pans are on the smaller side (which makes sense because the stovetop is small, though accurately pictured in the listing) so we had to use them both when we wanted to cook. We would for sure stay in Sarah's place again when we go back to Austin! It was great!

Great little nook for an ATX getaway

My husband and I stayed here when in Austin for ACL weekend 2. The location was great - not downtown but close enough. Lots of nearby restaurants and bars and breweries. So close to the bike path - nearly on top of it. We rode our bikes from the guesthouse to Zilker Park and never had to get on a road. We rode back in the dark and felt safe the whole time. The rental was clean, well-appointed and super cute. The main house was rented out during part of our stay but it wasn’t an issue. We sat on the balcony almost every morning for coffee and evenings for cocktails (the weather was perfect) and even though the view is the main house and backyard, we never felt like it wasn’t private. I would highly recommend and would stay here again. The host was easy to communicate with and helpful with suggestions.

Why they chose this property

Location, location, location. I am an enthusiastic local guide, especially for live music, as I've been a member of the music community for many years. Our block is a dead end, surrounded by the park and the lake. very quiet at night. The trail out front is a 10-mile loop. Between our house and the lake is only park land with baseball fields. In the winter when the trees are bare, we have panoramic views of the water.

The neighborhood overflows with exciting new foodie restaurants, bars, and some of the best food trailers in Austin. Walk 1 mile to the Rainey Street district.

I do everything I can to keep the energy of my home & guest house peaceful, warm and inspiring.

What makes this property unique

Time Out recently published a list of the 50 coolest neighborhoods IN THE WORLD and they put us - Holly, Austin as #24.

Getting around is easy. We are a very inexpensive Uber, Lyft to downtown, SOCO, Barton Springs, etc. There are plenty of scooters and bikes to rent in our neighborhood as well.
