About this property

Grandma’s Cabin, West Glacier riverfront kid/pet friendly, 1 mile from Glacier!

This one-in-a-million location has now become available for rental. Homesteaded in 1914, this peaceful rustic log home sits on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River. Gorgeous views of the west side of Glacier National Park, 30 seconds away, if you're a good swimmer! Just up river is Glacier View Golf Course. It is common to see wildlife pass through the property as they cross into Glacier National Park. This 1700sf log home provides cool temperatures in the summer, warm in the winter. Large picture windows surround the house to take in all the beauty. This location is so quiet, at night, you can hear the rocks being rolled down the river by the current. Secluded, but not remote- one mile from the Park entrance.

Guests have repeatedly said that photos do not do justice to the view. The majesty of the surrounding mountains puts into perspective just how small we truly are. It has also been said that getting in and out of the property is much easier than waiting in line to enter rentals within the park.

This is one of the few locations to rent in the winter. The surrounding mountains block out the wind, while delivering lots of snow. A great place to cozy up after a nice day cross country skiing.

While scheduling your vacation to Glacier National Park, be sure to check their website about reservations required to access Going ToThe Sun Road.
