Such a great place to stay if you love nature and relaxing. The hot tub was a great way to finish a day of hiking and a day of relaxing. Cannot wait to come in the spring/summer!
Ian very responsive to questions (we had trouble with the lock, easily solved). The home looks brighter than the pictures, great set up for hot tub! and Ian and friends kept the snow out of the driveway!! will come back again!
The propoerty was just as described on website. Loved the hot tub and the fall scenery couldn't be better. The shops and places to eat were great and the wine tasting and grape pies in Naples were fantastic. Would definitely recommend!!!

Thank you so much for the kind words! We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed Falling Waters and that the fall scenery, hot tub, and local spots made your stay special. Naples really is a gem this time of year — the grape pies and wineries never disappoint! We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back again soon for another relaxing getaway. 🍂
Warm regards,
Ian & Megan
Beautiful location but major maintenance issues. The Good: Stunning waterfall and creek, pet-friendly, and a well-stocked kitchen. The Bad: Unfortunately, the property is suffering from long-term neglect. Hygiene: The house had a pervasive mold smell that stuck to our clothes, and the hot tub water was milky and foamy, which is a clear sign of poor sanitation and bio-film buildup in the pipes, not just 'well water' minerals. Safety: The front door lock is failing (nearly impossible to remove the key), and the stone walkway is a muddy, slippery hazard in the rain. Maintenance: The porch door is broken, the bathroom faucet is loose, and the grill has no bottom.Note: I noticed reviews from years ago mentioning these same issues; they clearly haven't been addressed. You are paying for the view, but the house itself is a project.

Thank you for your feedback following your stay on April 3, 2026.
We’re glad you enjoyed the setting, including the waterfall and creek, as well as the pet-friendly accommodations and stocked kitchen—those are features many of our guests consistently love.
That said, we do want to clarify a few important points. This property has a long-standing history of five-star reviews, and the conditions described are not representative of our standard.
The hot tub is maintained on a strict schedule year-round, including complete water changes every two weeks and regular servicing. What you described is not indicative of our maintenance practices, and we have reviewed this with our team to ensure everything was operating as intended during your stay.
Regarding the grill, it is replaced annually each spring. As your visit occurred very early in the season following winter conditions, the new grill had not yet been installed at that time.
We also appreciate you bringing up the door lock, walkway, and minor maintenance items. These are being addressed as part of our routine seasonal upkeep.
We take great pride in the property and the experience we provide, and we stand behind the consistency reflected in our many five-star reviews. We’re always committed to maintaining and improving the property, and we appreciate all feedback that helps us do so.

Our stay at the retreat of falling waters was great! We planned a trip for exploring the finger lakes and it fit the bill for us nicely! Everything was clean when we arrived and in working order. I think the outdoor area could use some landscaping love but it didn't take away from the overall experience.

What a lovely place to spend our second anniversary! The house was exactly as described. The waterfall was not running, but we can’t blame Mother Nature. The hot tub was delightful after a busy day of visiting breweries and wineries. Thank you for offering such a lovely get away in the Finger Lakes!
Overall the cabin could use some work, but the beds are soft and the water is hot. Very secluded location in a beautiful area. The waterfall was barely a trickle during my stay, but it’s been a dry summer. Had a lovely trip either way!
2 couples on a quick get away. Looking to enjoy Canandaigua lake, wineries, and breweries. Also wanted an outdoorsy space.

Born and raised in the beautiful Canandaigua Lake area. I am no strangers to all the fun things this area has to offer as we own several rentals in the Finger Lakes , Twisted Rail Brewing Company with 3 locations to enjoy, and avid outdoor enthusiasts. As a father with two children Lyra and Luca, I stay plenty busy making sure our guests feel comfortable and have the best experience possible. I invite all our guests to stop by our brewery which has locations on Canandaigua Lake, Honeoye Lake, and Downtown Geneva.
