Azalea Cottage - Tumut River

A unique Tumut experience in a 2 bedroom fully self contained, pet friendly cottage situated on a working farm with private Tumut River frontage. An ideal location for trout fishing, a perfect base for skiing the Mt Selwyn snowfields or water skiing Blowering Dam and exploring the Snowy Mountains region. Six generations of local knowledge will ensure your stay is welcoming and informed.
Azalea is one of the cottages that make up Ribbonwood Cottages which comprises 4 two bedroom cottages, the Barn, a 3 queen bedroom loft style accommodation and Platypus, a 3 queen bedroom, 2 bathroom house.
Azalea Cottage has a fully self contained kitchen, bathroom and laundry. The main bedroom features a queen bed and the second bedroom has a king single and single bed. Air conditioning and gas heating as well as electric blankets, doonas and blankets are supplied. There is also a sofa lounge in the living area.
Azalea is surrounded by established gardens, kids' play area and communal undercover BBQ area for cooking and relaxing with friends or enjoy the privacy of your own verandah in the afternoon sun.

Charming country escape

Azalea Cottage was as described - perfect position by the Tumut River. The kids loved the cows and riverside adventures. They also spent time fishing from the riverbank. A great time had by all.

Gorgeous and peaceful

Upon arrival, we were pleasantly greeted by Brett the owner, he took us straight to our cottage (which was immaculate), gave us a quick run down and left us to settle in.The grounds are beautiful, close to the river and town.We had our own carport next to the cottage which was handy because it rained most of the time.Loved this place, first and definatly not the last time we will stay there.

Fantastic Farmstead Cottage

The bedroom overlooking the farm with cows mooing at our window is just such a great experience. Beautiful sunshine coming through the cottage makes our stay here so enjoyable. Dinner by the river with warm fire at night definitely a wonderful experience to end our weekend getaway. We will be back soon !!!

Quiet Escape

The property is located in a relaxing rural setting, backing onto the Tumut River. Only a short drive or 20 minute walk into Tumut shopping area and eateries. This was a lovely comfortable, quiet place to stay, 'away from it all' but not too far.

Comfortable, cozy cottage in tranquil setting, with view over farmland towards river. Close to Tumut, but with a rural outlook and feel. Cottage was warm and comfortable, with everything you needed. Enjoyed staying here with my dog, would definitely recommend it!
