About this property
LARGE URBAN ECO HOUSE
Our place is close to all the cafes, shops galleries, gardens and culture of the inner north. It is a gorgeous, large, light-filled inner city eco home . The really special thing about this house is that is it is one of the most desirable and vibrant inner city villages Melbourne has to offer, but it is tucked down a cul-de-sac, backing onto the beautiful Merri creek and looking out onto huge native gum trees that line the creek. It is a real secret oasis in the city. Owned by two designers our house is full if mid century antiques and eclectic artworks. A great spot for children and families there is a cubby house in the back-yard, a large garden and sunny deck to entertain on. Tao is an art director in the film industry and Megan is a Interior designer and Sustainable design consultant. We live in melbourne with our two daughters girls who are 13 and 10, and we also run a very popular holiday rental property in Raglan on the west coast of New Zealand.
Why they chose this property
Our home is so unique in that it is in the heart of Melbourne cafe and artistic culture yet so quiet, private and looking out onto green. We spent many years renovating this house to the highest of eco standards, free of any toxic materials and using solar every, water heating and tank water.
