Great gated community. The home was very clean, well equipped and nicely decorated. Just steps from a beautiful beach with the best views of the sunset. We definitely recommend this home and would definitely rent it again. Pristine properties did a great job with keeping us updated and very nice to work with,

Live roaches everywhere. It was awful. Thankfully pristine property was able to move us to a different place.
The condo seems to have been updated. Aesthetic wise it was pleasant , however this condo does have a bug problem. At night an insect or two could be seen crawling across the kitchen floor or counters. The main gate to enter the complex updates its door codes monthly. We were locked out and had to walk until we found an owner to be able to use their door code. After a phone call was made to report the problem, no one ever got back to us with an updated code.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m sorry the unit had a bug issue and that you were locked out due to the gate code — that fell short of the experience we aim to provide.
We take pest concerns seriously and have forwarded this to our housekeeping and pest-control partners to treat the unit and inspect for entry points. We’ll also reinforce cleaning checks to make sure counters and floors are clear between guests.
Regarding the gate code and the lack of follow-up, we will coordinate with the complex management and review our guest communication procedures so updated codes are provided reliably and any reported access issues receive prompt responses.
We appreciate you noting the condo’s updated look and regret these problems affected your stay. Thank you for the feedback.

Fall break 2024
Property was very clean! The checking process was a little off, trying to find out how to check in after hours. We never received our key to the facility. The housekeeper let us in and it was ready after the time he said we could check in. Lights are out in the bathrooms. Having the chairs and umbrellas available was amazing. We brought ours, but did not have to use them. We write this overall stay a four star and would recommend it as long as the worked on their check policy and key situation.

Unfortunately I am writing this because has been an unbelievably bad experience . This is our 4th trip in the same location and it’s by far the worst unit. My husband and I paid a lot of money. We have had an issue with our plumbing and washer. 3 inches of standing water under the kitchen sink, musty odor coming from the sink, filled up a bucket in a few hours which I had to change out to avoid any damage before being able to report it to someone. The washer first suggestion by the rental company was going to be to drive an hour long round-trip, (not to mention the waiting for the wash to get done) and then get to bring a revisit to get reimbursed. for what we spent a weeklong vacation should not have me spend half the day doing laundry in a town 30 minutes away. Or to drive up and get the key to another unit somewhere on property to do laundry for that day. Then drive and take a key back... This should’ve been disclosed in our rental agreement before getting here ( they knew it was not working bc she told me after i reported it) and knowing that we should have been able to rent this place at a reduced rate for the added frustration. I had 4 children and 2 adults and no washer. The sliding door does not lock, it’s broken. Pet hair stuck to pot and pans in the cabinet. It states they give you a beach rental credit . Please don’t let that fool you. That got us 5 rusted chairs and 4 boogie boards for the week and we still had to pay a delivery fee bc that isn’t counted with the credit. So I pay to deliver it ridiculous! The grill partially worked, no grill utensils ( spatulas That aren’t plastic) This is bare bones at this unit. You need to purchase everything!!! I encourage you to look around before booking this. I typically don’t leave bad reviews but this was definitely not up to par for what is described.

We encourage feedback from guests on their stay so we know how they enjoyed things and if there is anything better we can do with our service or with the property. Constructive criticism is necessary but it also relies on fairness. So yes, the washer did stop working prior to Ashly's arrival that we weren't able to get fixed prior to or even during her stay. We did offer to reimburse her if she wanted to go to a laundromat or a vacant property nearby to do laundry. Yes, the property does provide a rental credit for beach gear by a 3rd party company that is very responsive to issues or problems when notified. As far as bare bones, having new flooring, countertops, backsplashes, fixtures, and more installed in the last few years I guess qualifies for that? I'm not sure that a crock pot, rice maker, grilling basket, and steamer is standard in most Barrier Dunes units that we've seen but fortunately this unit has those. So while I know there was some things that happened during Ashly's time that were how we have wanted them, labeling this property not as described is probably as bad as any of them.
