An absolute hidden gem, plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the spectacular view. Soak in the outside spa beneath the stars, gather around a roaring fire in the fire pit, or simply relax in the huge sunbeds. The hosts are friendly and helpful, making the entire experience a pleasure. Can't recommend this place highly enough!

So glad you enjoyed your stay. Hope we can welcome you back some time.
A lovely location for a weekend escape.
The only reason for a 4 star was an unfortunate issue with the spa which was no fault of the owner, Becky did everything possible to get it fixed.
I would recommend this location and Becky is fabulous.
Thanks for everything
Amazing place, seclusion, incredible views and the highlight had to be the fire pit! Perfectly placed to take in the view and nature.
Wallis Lake on one side and the sea on the other, the best location to relax and recharge.
Becky and Rob was great with communication and made the whole experience easy.
Thank you we definitely recommend booking here! You won’t regret it!

Thanks for your comments. Glad we got the bbq fixed up for you while you were here.
Glad you enjoyed your stay.
Before I start the location and view were perfect!
Unfortunately our first and hopefully last bad experience/review. Check in was pushed back 2 hours due to a deep clean needed as people had checked out that day which was fine (covid times). When we got there the grass hadn't been mowed at all and was really long, upon opening the door your hit with that old house that hasn't been opened in a while smell (some scents stuff would fix this) again not an issue. We opened the kitchen cupboard and both had to stand back from the over powering smell, a smell of fish/rat urine smell. There was mice running along the lounge room fireplace wall and floor, even a mouse in the bathroom at one point. There is rat bait outside on the ground in a container which is not dog friendly at all. There were handprints on a window still and food had been left in the oven which made us wonder how well it had been cleaned? We were excited to use the spa though there was a lot of leaves at the bottom which isn't inviting at all. We were asked to get the pillow cases from the clothes dryer and put them on the bed which makes me wonder why only half the pillow cases were there, and had the quilt covers etc been washed but that's being sceptical no proof. An hour before we had to check out we were told we could check out 2 hours later to make up for the late check in but it was too late of notice nor did we want to stay longer. We removed the sheets and pillow cases to put in laundry for the cleaner and discovered a huge mould patch on one of the pillows which is really not healthy. The worst past of the stay was the bed, two single beds pushed together as one, worst sleep we have had, felt like a fence was down the middle of the bed. Definitely not a good honeymoon experience and the price does not deflect what it is unfortunately.

I will respond, just for the record.
I did request a slightly delayed check in, it ended up being 3pm instead of 2pm because of Covid.
I believe it had rained pretty solidly for a few weeks before your arrival and i agree the lawn was looking quite long at the time.
As for the smell, every house does have its own smell and there are scents in the bathrooms.
As for the mice, yes we did have a mouse issue at the time of your booking. The house is surrounded by bush and occasionally the bush mice do find their way in. They have been moved along now.
The cleaners had cleaned most the windows so i apologise if they missed some hand prints. As for the oven i can only apologise that this area hadn't been checked. I would have been happy to send someone up to rectify the issue if you had approached me at the time. Same as with the spa. This is cleaned at change over also.
The cleaner left the pillow cases in the dryer so you could check in sooner, rather than wait another half an hour for them to be dry. All the linen is cleaned/changed every change over. This was the cause for the late check in. All the pillows have pillow protectors on. I believe you removed the pillow protector also. Either way, the cleaner noticed the mould you are referring too and retired that pillow.
The beds you are referring to are the two king beds. Yes the mattresses do split into two so it can be converted in to singles if desired. But they are brand new beds and for the price certainly shouldn't be that uncomfortable. Although i have been told they are on the firm side.
I feel allot of these issues could have been solved at the time with some communication. You didn't allude to your dissatisfaction in our texts during your stay. Non the less, I apologise that you didn't have a 100% satisfactory stay. I will take your feedback and make some tweaks. Many Thanks.
The photos don't do this place justice- it is truly magical.

Peaceful & scenic
The property was clean and well-kept. Great amenities with well-stocked kitchen. A 2km drive up the mountain from The Lakes Way, so very private. Great large hot tub with views.
