Luxury Oceanfront Condo at Surf Break, prvt. plunge pool, breathtaking sunsets

Our large 1 bedroom master suite with king bed and his and hers bathroom and 1 1/2 bath with outdoor shower, is beautifully decorated with a casual modern flare. The kitchen and island are fully equipped with all cooking utensils, plates, bowls, pots and pans for cooking and baking or step outside to the grassy lawn grilling fish from the daily fish market on our built in gas grill. We include a large jug of water for guest on arrival so no need to worry about water when you arrive. See beautiful sunsets from the condo or head out to the pool and lap pool with sunset cocktails to take in the beauty. Walk out your door, past your private plunge pool, over you grassy lawn, grab your surfboard and you are right on the beach at Punta Majahua, Troncones. If surfing is not for you, grab your margarita and and romance novel and head poolside. This brand new property is just 25 minutes from the Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo International airport on an amazing stretch of ocean. The area has locally owned restaurants and small markets and even a working yoga retreat on the beachfront where you can work your vinyasa flow into absolute bliss.

This pristine 5 kilometer long beach, one of the best “secret” surf beaches in Mexico, is located 20 minutes north of Zihuatanejo. The village of Troncones is home to just 600 people making this one of the best beaches in Mexico, not too crowded but perfect to just come, relax, enjoy and surf.

Punta Majahua is Zozaya Arquitecto’s most recent project. It is the perfect place to switch off from stressful lives and relax facing the hypnotic waves of the Pacific coast. This meticulous 2.5 acre peninsula is located between Manzanillo Bay and Majahua Beach allowing all of its condos to enjoy spectacular ocean views. We just finished a great stay in this condo at Punta Majajua. We can’t say enough about this property, from the seamless check-in, to the beautiful and quality architecture. We plan to visit again very shortly! Although a lot of the property was still under construction in Nov 2018 when we stayed, the noise was minimal and it didn’t bother us at all.

A little piece of Mexican heaven

Wonderful property in a charming fishing and surfing town. Lovely beach and both the plunge pool and the lap pool were amazing. The property is extremely private and the architecture is very unique. The property manager, Nadia, was so attentive to our needs. After a thunderstorm and a power outage, the AC wasn't working and she sent someone immediately to fix it. We'll return!

Magical Troncones

We loved our stay at Punta at Punta Majahua: falling asleep each night to the sound of the ocean and waking up to a gorgeous view, walking the beach each morning, renting a scooter to use to head into town every morning for a latte, two amazing and very reasonably priced seafood restaurants (Brisas Mexicanas and Un Pencicito di Cielo) a five minute walk away, a house call massage in the open air. The property manager met us upon our arrival and was easy to communicate with throughout our stay. We asked for a slightly later check out, which was quickly granted. There were a couple of issues that were quickly rectified, including a blown fuse that provided hot water in the shower and electricity for the washer/dryer. We hope to be back.

Peace and relaxation

Beautiful property and condo, we are returning next year! Perfect place to watch sunsets, walk on the beach, several restaurants nearby and more coming. We prepared several meals and found the kitchen supplies to be very adequate. Comfortable bed, nice linens and towels. The fan above the bed is a bit noisy so we only had it on during the day and used AC in the bedroom at night. Just a note: there is a washer and dryer, however, you have to stay 7 nights to have access, which I must have missed in the listing. Looking forward to returning next Jan!

We were lucky enough to book a couple stays here over the past month. Such a beautiful and functional place, with great quality of construction. The building and condo are both really impressive. And if the cold private plunge pool weren’t enough, the main pool and lap pool are now open and are pretty spectacular. We also didn’t find the nearby construction bothersome at all. There was no heavy equipment and they only worked during regular working hours. We miss it already. It has been 50°C colder in Alberta than it was in Troncones...

So relaxing

We had a great stay at Punta Majahua. The unit has a wonderful deck with plunge pool that was great for cooling off in the afternoon. Kitchen had everything needed for cooking. Very comfortable bed. Grounds are very nice, plenty of space around the pool . Ladies in the office were helpful in getting a cab na Rachel was quick to respond to any questions. A number of beachfront restaurants 100-200 meters down the beach. Rocky area in front of the unit is great for tidepools and just a short walk to access playa Majahua which is nice for walking. Majahua doesnt have much of a grocery so need to stock up before you arrive. We will return.

While the location is absolutely beautiful, we were very disappointed with the quality of this accommodation. There were stains on the towels and the bed was topped with a filthy duvet, without a cover. We were told the washing machine was "broken". We were told the television would need to be turned on "manually" but we were unable to figure out how. The unit itself was devoid of any art work or any personal touches. This unit was very dreary, especially when compared with the three other units we have stayed at in this development.

Winter get away

What a beautiful location. It is far out with not a lot of nearby amenities, which we not looking for. It was our relaxing get away. Shopping before you arrive is a must. The condo was large enough for the two of us and very pleasant being able to do a lot on the patio. The location of the unit was the best, ground floor easy to get to very lovely pool area and front of complex, corner unit so private. The washer and Dryer is not included as the description says. Adequate kitchen supplies. On our stay the TV did not work so we had to connect with another owner to watch. Our check in was after the normal hours so our person that checked us in did not speak very much English so I was unable to find a few things and figure out how to work the pool and for a while. I would stay here again as it was a very enjoyable time in a beautiful place.Super Bowl.

This condo is beautiful. The only reason I gave a lower rating for check in process is we were advised we could check in at 4pm. When we arrived about 430, the maid was still cleaning as she advised us the prior guests did not leave until after check out time. Not a big issue but we did have to wait to get situated while she cleaned. The other minor issue is the other owners of this property make it very clear that they do not want "renters" at this location. The location is right on the beach and within walking distance to a couple small convenience stores and restaurants. Other than the couple minor issues stated above, it was a beautiful view and condo. Just as the pictures indicated.

A wonderful stay in my favourite part of Mexico

A girls trip for 10 days, and it was exactly what we needed. Our criteria for choosing a place was 1) on the ocean, 2) tasteful decor, 3) a nice pool lounge area, 4) quiet and away from crowds, 5) well equipped full kitchen for cooking local food, 6) close to restaurants when we want to eat out, 7) safe. This one hit all areas. From making the reservation, to checking in with Nadia, the wonderful property manager, it was seamless. Any question we had from renting bikes to where to buy fresh fish, Nadia was immediate with her replies. The condo was perfect - nice open living space with a glass wall that opens right up onto the patio. Large bedroom with a huge bathroom and a lot of closet space. Towels and sheets were good. The entire development is gorgeous, and we felt like we were all by ourselves here. The main pool is beautiful. We went for long beach walks, seeing maybe one or two people the entire time. We spent a lot of time on our patio watching dolphins, cooling off in the plunge pool (note: it is not a hot tub), drinking cocktails while watching sunsets and eating our weight in homemade guacamole. We rented bikes for the week to ride into town for fresh produce and yoga. No car required really. A number of beach restaurants are few minutes walk from the condo. Our favourite one was Un Pedacito de Cielo for great margs and coconut shrimp at sunset. If you want quiet and relaxation, this condo and area is the spot. We will be back!!

Great location and value! Awesome pool!

The property is very private with great views of the breaking waves on Punta Majahua. The best bar in Troncones is nearby - Amor Tropical, within walking distance from the property. I was disappointed that the private wading pool in the back never sees the sun (with the exception of the sliver of sun that peeks out around 2pm; it's a bit misleading with the picture on the listing). The main pool is rad with views of the ocean so it made up for it. Cell service is limited on the property, you'll have to use Whatsapp. Recommend the place, we'll be back!

To start with, this property advertises a hot tub-NOT!!!! There’s a plunge pool with jets that are on a timer for 2 hrs in the morning- no worries because the pool was way too cold to even get into. But the unit is so incredible that it made up for the misinformation( although I exclusively stay at places with jacuzzis). The living room opens up to the outside, the wall is glass and completely opens! And the bedroom doors are barn doors that open to the living room- so it’s like sleeping on the beach but in a luxury condo! Also the first and last days- no hot water. Again, the awesomeness of the place kept me from feeling real bad about that. I’d stay again.

A Surf Break locals use right in front of the property and surf breaks north and south of the property within short drives. Saladitas, 20 minutes away, has amazing waves, but it not yet developed.
