Thanks so much Patrick! Glad you liked our spot!
(And I think you might have meant the fenced yard was "eminently" helpful, but I think the spirit of compliment the comes across!) XOXO
Everything you would want for a snow cabin experience and more. Everything worked, there were plenty of household appliances and the fireplace pumped some heat! The neighbors were very friendly especially if you had a dog. Owner was super helpful and available. Beds were 10 out of 10 comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Thanks so much! Really appreciate you making a home of our place and taking such great care of things, including the trash and recycling…which gets complicated in the mountains. Hope you get to come back. Cheers! XOXO
Our family had a wonderful first trip to truckee/Lake Tahoe. Cabin had everything we needed and it was in a perfect location;close to downtown truckee & Donner state park & easy trip to Tahoe. The cabin had a bunch of games, books and a great backyard with spa,bbq and gas fire pit perfect for roasting marshmallows with the kids. The host was easy to reach and responded quickly to any questions we had. I would 100% recommend this cabin and our family would love to stay here again.

I have to say the host was great in thier communication. The roads were closed on our original date so the host was kind enough to move our date to the right for no extra charge. We were only staying for one night after a day of snow tubing, for us the main amenity was the hot tub , mainly for our 6 year old daughter who had never got to experience one. Unfortunately, the hot tub looks like it was never even prepped for the winter. There was mold everywhere and the water was so cloudy and murky. Not fit for humans, it ruined the overnight stay. While the host refunded the cleaning fees, I would have gladly paid for my daughtwr to have the experiencewe set out for .

Thanks so much for staying with us, Craig. We always try to do the best we can for our guests. We went out of our way to reschedule, even though it was within the cancellation policy timeframe and it wasn’t required.
We are also devastated that you had a front-row seat to the unparalleled abuse the previous guests visited on our lovely hot tub. It was perfect for their stay and they put snow and dirt into it. It needed major repair, which took a few days to do. Thankfully we have a great spa company, who is now checking in for us even more often. Thank you for your understanding and for accepting the refund we sent.
We had a wonderful stay at Donnor Bliss. The house was great. My son loved playing in the snow on the property, and the adults loved the hot tub. Thanks for a great weekend getaway.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is conveniently located and well equipped with the essentials. Mel, the owner, is super attentive. We would definitely stay again!

Great place! Great location- easy to get to the ski areas. There was a bit of snow during our stay but luckily they had an awesome plow service! Clean, roomy, and awesome hosts, definitely would recommend to anyone!
We had a great stay at your property. It was a perfect size house for our family. I enjoyed coffee on the back patio every morning and the kids enjoyed a hot tub dip at the end of the day. Location was a perfect starting point for our daily adventures.

Wonderful house in Truckee
This is a great place in Truckee. The Armstrong Tract is a hidden secret, and it is high up on the hill, so there are great views. The house is spacious, the driveway is large enough for cars and to play cornhole, and the grill and spa are perfect in all seasons. Will definitely stay again.

Our host was great. Very responsive and attentive. The house was very clean and fully stocked with everything. Felt newly remodeled and very comfortable. Super close to everything too.
We really enjoyed this cabin because two families with kids had plenty of space to be comfortable. The kids bunk room was a highlight for our little boys and the fireplace and hot tub we're our favorite amenities! Location was perfect for easy access to Truckee and multiple ski resorts. We're already booked to go back again and looking forward to it!

Thanks so much, Carrie! Your fam was #adorbs! So glad you can make it back. 💖🌈
We had a great time staying here and it had everything we needed for our family of five. The kids loved all the games that were there and the beds were comfy and warm after full day of skiing and sledding. Apres ski in the hot tub while the snow was falling was especially great. Mel was responsive and helpful with any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again!
This was the perfect house for us( 2 adults, 1 son, and 1 4-legged son). Mel's house was had everything we needed. The fenced in back yard was perfect for our dog. It was centrally located to all of our favorite places: restaurants, hikes, and of course the Lake. I am currently at home already daydreaming of next years trip and booking our stay with Mel.

It's hard to find a house like this in Tahoe that provides all the amenities my family looks for, dog friendly, kid friendly, hot tub, fireplace and room for two families! We feel so fortunate to have found this gem and continue to re book with Mel because she is an excellent host and we think this is a perfect property!!

Nice layout of rooms
Clean
Quiet neighborhood.
Close to everything.
We loved our stay.
We did alert the owner that the surface of bathroom tub was very slippery. It was very easy to fall when wet and soapy. Use with caution or use a tub mat.
That being said, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Donner Lake is the place to be, and this place was terrific.

Wonderful Tahoe Home
We had an absolutely great time staying in Mel and Sal's place. This is the fourth Tahoe-Donner rental we have stayed in and this was the best experience overall. The home is very comfortable and has all of the amenities you can think of. Mel and Sal texted us to ensure we had everything we needed. Location was extremely convenient, more so than other places we stayed. We hiked and sledded in a beautiful area about one block from the home, then enjoyed their wonderful hot tub while it snowed. We highly recommend it!

Wow, Bill! Thanks so much for sharing. I love that you guys got to sled on the hill behind the house. It's one of our favorite little neighborhood spots. You were great guests. Thank you and we would be happy to have you back anytime. Cheers! :-D
Loved the place, hot tub and fire pit was used each night. I also took advantage of the hammock.
My husband loves to mountain bike ride so he did that each day.
Took our bikes to the Truckee River and rode to Sunnyside . Beautiful ride.
Yes we would rent this place again for sure.

The host was fabulous. She helped us out and we were really stuck because of the snow we couldn’t get out of the yard and we missed that but it was a wonderful wonderful stay under the circumstances.

Thanks for your sweet review, Michaele! You were totally grace under fire during the intense storm that came through during your stay! 💖
We loved the cabin! Warm cozy and clean inside. Perfect for our family of 5. The kids bunk room had a fun array of games for our teens. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. The hot tub was a great spot to relax after skiing! We really enjoyed snowshoeing and cross country skiing around Donner Lake Stare Park- just across the main road from the neighborhood that the cabin is in. Mel was so communicative and answered all my questions before and during our trip. Check in and out were easy!
My son and I enjoyed our stay at the facility. The check-in was straightforward. It was clean and had all of the expected conveniences. The kitchen was spacious with a full array of cookware, dishware and condiments. The refrigerator was large enough to accommodate all of our food items. The outside jacuzzi was a huge bonus with strong jets and a hot water temperature. The only drawback was the lack of the facility’s wifi. The owner mentioned that the problem might have been due to a recent power outage. Regardless, our own wifi source was sufficient.Overall, the price was reasonable & the experience was well worth it. The owner was very responsive to my questions. I would highly recommend it to our friends.

This was a wonderful home for a vacation with dogs. Great location and fully appointed.
My husband and I spent the month of August at Bliss Cabin with our two golden retrievers, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our goal was to escape the desert heat, and our mission was accomplished. The location is great; so close to Donner Lake, Downtown Truckee and an easy drive to Lake Tahoe. Our dogs loved the fenced backyard, and there was plenty of room to stay comfortably for an extended period. From nice, thick towels to super comfortable beds, we had no complaints about anything. We truly had all the comforts of home. I wouldn't think twice about staying here again. Thanks, Melanie!
