The Sanctuary is unparalled on the Northern Beaches, situated on one of the largest direct beach access blocks in Sydney. Bathed in sun all day, and with gardens leading directly down to the rock pools and golden sands of north Avalon Beach, the perfect beachside escape awaits.

As can be expected from a property of this magnitude, privacy is delivered from the moment you enter the sandstone gates.
Divided into two separate accommodation wings the home offers a huge central living area that includes the kitchen, dining area and open fire. Off each side of the living room there are two separate outdoor entertaining areas to capitalize on the best conditions that the Northern Beaches weather offers. Under floor heating in the living area.

Relax, enjoy your breakfast and watch the surf and the children while they play in the sand and the surf on the large terrace. A second courtyard area is drenched in sun all day long and also has another BBQ and full outdoor setting while still affording views straight through to the beach.

The western wing offers two large bedrooms, the master room with king bed has unrivalled views of the beach, a separate walk in robe and bathroom. There is also a spa room on this side of the house with shower, bathroom and fully heated eight person spa pool.

The eastern wing includes three very large bedrooms and an additional open-plan casual living space with incredible views of the beach. This area is ideal for the children and/or nanny. Each bedroom has an oil heater for the cooler months and feather down quilts. The central core of the house is the perfect meeting point for the entire family. Sit down and enjoy a meal at the rustic family dining table or relax in style either on the lounge or out on the terrace just soaking up the view.

This uniquely-located home is minutes from the well-known village atmosphere at Avalon. Enjoy the many cafes, restaurants and wide variety of shopping. It is also within walking distance of Whale Beach and Palm Beach, starting off in the Careel Headland Reserve, as well as the boating paradise of Pittwater.

A perfect location for an extended family get together over Christmas and New Years! The house location was amazing with a semi private path to North Avalon Beach. The people and surfer watching was super entertaining and the court yard offered a beautiful retreat to sit in the sun out of the wind. The kitchen was well stocked which made having family dinner every night a breeze. The bedrooms and bathrooms were well equipped with good pillows, blankets, towels, hair-dryers and shampoo etc. There were plenty of beach towels for everyone and the outdoor shower was very handy for the sandy feet when coming back to the house. The fridge in the garage was nice surprise which meant we didn't have to worry about all the food we needed for 9 people! We did have a little ant issue in the pantry but once we put everything remotely sweet in the fridge it was fine. We would definitely stay here again but hopefully the owners keeps up on the maintenance of the house as we could already see some deferred maintenance due to the harsh wind and salty mist constantly hitting the house. The rental company was so sweet to put up a Christmas Tree for us and even gifted us a beautiful sun umbrella!

Beautiful Property - Very Poor Management

- Property was very picturesque - no air conditioning - oven was a convection, so not a proper oven - LJ hooker were impossible to deal with - zero amenities provided - zero allowance for trash in excess of the bin size even though 8 people over 3-4 days will accrue a certain amount of waste - accusations of damage that were unsubstantiated - accusations of mess EVEN though the property designated a cleaning fee - accusations of noise past a certain time, we were inside without music past 10pm These blonde hair, blue eyed people will take your bond and accuse you of being a poor guest without an opportunity to rebut any statement. 10/10 would not recommend

Everything and more!!!

We stayed at The Sanctuary for our wedding weekend and it was amazing. The girls got ready in the house and the boys stayed around the corner. It was so amazing to be able to go for a swim and watch the boys surf from the balcony when the girls got their makeup done. Having other accommodation around the corner was perfect for what we wanted. The house was neat tidy and had everything we needed!! The fire place was amazing to sit around and chat. Having The house was an absolute highlight of our wedding weekend!
