Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program. The upstairs living has a great vibe with lots of natural light, great outlook, good kitchen and an open plan space that works well. In late Autumn the heater was quick and made it very comfortable. The bedrooms, bathroom etc were fine. Yard was secure for our dog. But the best was having the beach right there.

Hi Gary,
Thanks so much for your lovely review! We’re really glad you enjoyed the light-filled upstairs space, comfort, and the great location by the beach. Happy to hear your dog could enjoy the secure yard too. You’re welcome back anytime!
Very overpriced for such a poorly maintained property. We left 4 days early and moved to another property 100m away that was half the price, immaculate condition, clean, has working plumbing and is much bigger. So disappointed with this house.
This is an old beach house in a fantastic location 50 metres to the beach. Newly renovated bathroom (only one bathroom) and kitchen. Great views. In need of a little TLC.
The icing on the cake was the Gaming room oohhhh I spent all time in that room.
It was very close to the beach and good spot for fishing got some squids and heaps of whitings on pipis
We had a great experience views where awesome and a lovely home..

Not The Best Not The Worst
The Cape Escape could be a really spectacular stay if some attention to small details was paid. The house itself is comfortable enough however, having paid a linen surcharge I would've liked some quality bedding and towels. Everything was a bit cheap. The doonas were thin and I couldn't find any extra blankets and there wasn't enough pillows on the queen beds (2 per adult would be perfect). With 7 people staying, an extra bathmat and hand towel wouldn't have gone astray. The bath towels looked a bit grubby, like they could do with a good soak. The upstairs windows could do with a good clean too! There is another building at the front of the house that would serve as a great rumpus room if it was decked out with a tv and some board games - could be a top spot for the kids to hang out but it's sort of wasted as is.

Great location , comfortable
We had a nice weekend , place looked bigger in the pictures and we found that some things were lacking , coffee maker broken , no instruction for stove would have been helpful. Some maintenance on small things needed to be done ie wobbly toilet seat. Lights not working in the play room/red room... but the kids had a ball and we slept 8 comfortably.
