Golf Villa 70 - Casa de Campo - Lake and Golf View- Near Beach - Maid Cook Wifi

Golf Villa 70 is an exceptionally well situated three bedroom Golf Villa located on the 14th fairway of the Links golf course with panoramic views of the 14th and 15th fairways; the fairway lake and our gardens.

The villa is a short walking distance to Minitas beach and the hotel facilities.

The Villa is staffed by Julie, our housekeeper/cook. Julie is fluent in English and Spanish.

DESCRIPTION

The villa is a traditional golf villa design with mahogany louvered windows and wrap around screened veranda. Local artists have painted some of the furniture and walls.

The villa receives the morning sun and is positioned to receive the afternoon breezes. It is a perfect environment to relax and enjoy Casa de Campo.

Two of the bedrooms are adjacent to the screened veranda and living room. One bedroom has a king bed and the second bedroom has two double beds. The third bedroom, with a queen bed, is in a private area down a hallway from the main villa living areas. The three bedrooms are air conditioned with quiet mini split units.

The villa has 100 Mbps Internet and three 40 inch smart fire tv’s. If you wish a broader tv viewing experience, bring your own Apple TV, Fire Stick or Roku type streaming device and plug it into the tv.

The villa is staffed by Julie, our housekeeper/cook, her assistant Aracelis and Papo, our gardener. Julie works from approximately 9am each day. Ask her to arrive later, if you wish privacy in the morning or earlier if you wish her to cook you breakfast.

Julie is fluent in both Spanish and English and has a wealth of knowledge of the resort and area. She can prepare meals from groceries that you provide from the local store. The villa does not have a golf cart. If you wish a golf cart, Julie can assist with a rental.

Casa de Campo is a gated property of 7000 acres. The resort charges visitors to enter the property and use resort facilities. The current charge for entry is $30 per adult per day; $15 per day for children.

Casa de Campo directly charges visitors on entry and provides guest cards. Casa de Campo charges are not included in the villa rental.

Amazing villa at Casa de Campo

Booked this villa with 2 of my friends. It’s beautifully decorated. 3 bedrooms all en-suite. Great outdoor area. Julie; the housekeeper was amazing. Prepared breakfast everyday and cleaned the house. Location inside Casa de campo compound is perfect. Very safe and secure. Close to hotel and marina with many restaurants. Will definitely book it again and will recommend it to friends

Wonderful Villa

What a beautiful place to sit back in the open-air setting and enjoy the breezes of Casa De Campo. The house opens up wonderfully to feel the breeze and the culture. Benita the housekeeper was a joy and ensured we had everything we needed. The location is a little hard to find but that is just the layout of the area. I suggest using the waze app in lieu of standard maps as it took us right where we needed. great place.

Julie was excellent and property location was great. Beds were OK but all other furniture was dated and uncomfortable throughout. Kitchen utensils, cutlery and dishes were also dated and not overly clean. Dark floors and ceilings also contributed to uncomfortable interior.

Property is in an excellent location. It is old and needs some refurnisment to bing it up to par with other neaby properties. Do to its age it is easy for outside small anumals to get in. Finally there was work on th outside that was affecting the water. It was coming out with dirt.

The villa is a traditional golf villa with a wrap around screened veranda that allows the breezes and fresh air. It is not a newer enclosed golf villa with central air conditioning. The villa’s three bedrooms are air conditioned. Generally, we receive positive reviews on the traditional architecture. Casa de Campo was installing a new sprinkler system for the area including our villa. This may have caused the issue. Small tropical lizards are common and harmless and can enter any villa through open doors. The villa is frequently fumigated.

In overall it was…... I don’t know…..We found the property in Vrbo and We booked it because of the excellent reviews it had. I was not lucky! First night we found one of the toilets dirty, not Clean at all. Two of the basins were dirty too, with Hair on them. Blankets smelt as used, not Clean. Towels in bad condition. Pillows were good. We inmediatelly send pictures to the maid who gave some excuses to us. We slept very well. Air Conditioning was good. Description says maid/ cook is included.. The maid said breakfast has an additional fee. It was first time at Casa de Campo I hear this in a rented villa with maid/ cook included. Main issue was the poor hygiene. The other day she and her helper cleaned everything. Very very basic kitchen appliances.

This villa has be on VRBO for over 5 years. Nahtalie was the first person that I reviewed that I indicated that would not rent to her again. Aside from a deep cigarette burn on the wooden breakfast table and a cracked coffee pot, Nahtalie was a continual problem and inconsistent. She called Julie my housekeeper of 35 years on her mobile continually either complementing or complaining. Julie is an excellent housekeeper and mother and grandmother. The final straw was when she called Julie at 1:20 am in the morning to complain. Julie thought that that one of her children or grandchildren was calling for an emergency. This is unacceptable behavior on Nahtalie’s part. I would not rent to Nahtalie again and I would recommend that other hosts consider my decision

Wonderful Stay

My husband and I had a wonderful 10 day stay at this spacious and airy villa! The screened-in porch has a southeasterly view looking over the villa's colorful gardens, across two golf holes and a pond. There are many indoor seating options and there is a marvelous gentle cross breeze traipsing through during the day. Although the outside temperature was in the mid-80s, we found that the many ceiling fans and said breezes were sufficient to keep us comfortable. It was heaven to sleep without needing an air conditioner( they are in each bedroom if wanted). The bedrooms are roomy, and each with its own bathroom. The location of the property is fantastic, 5-7 minute drive on the golf cart to Playa Minitas Beach , 5-7 minute drive the Hotel Swimming Pool (wet bar and kids pool), 5-7 minute drive the Golf Driving Range. Julie was AMAZING! Her disposition is always sunny and she speaks English well. Julie cooked us breakfast each morning and made a couple of meals which we reheated for our dinners on the lovely porch. She also kept the property clean and our clothes laundered. One evening after dinner, we noticed an outdoor spigot was broken and water was pooling near the house. We called Julie and within 20 minutes there was someone at the house to replace the spigot. The communication with the owner was prompt and flawless. We will stay at this property again and recommend it to friends and family.

Villa at the golf course

Beautiful Villa located in a very exclusive Casa de Campo part of the southern Dominican Republic. The house, one of many around, situated next to a golf course with a view of a small pond. Spacious, very artistically decorated, inside with enough room for 2 families. For and additional fee, you can use a golf cart, which is very enjoyable and a must. With the golf cart, you can go to a very picturesque Altos de Chavon, go grocery shopping at the marina, see a nearby wonderful beach and just drive around to see a magnificent tropical neighborhoods. Absolutely recommended.

Lovingly decorated Dominican style that charms as soon as you enter. Listen to the birds while fabulous Julie serves a great breakfast on the superb wrap around screened in lanai where you will enjoy spending a lot of your time with the pleasant view of the golf course and lake. We are two old well travelled couples who totally loved our two week stay.
