About this property

Bear Cabin, Hocking Hills, South Bloomingville, OH

11’-4 x 30’ Custom Cabin, front deck with porch swing, rear deck with 4 person hot tub. It is one bedroom with queen size bed and carpeted loft with two twin mattresses. Loft is big enough to sleep 2 comfortably. One bathroom with 36” x 36” shower. Full efficiency kitchen with basic cooking utensils and tableware for 8. Nice quiet location, easily accessible. Pet friendly with a maximum of two pets. There are two buildings on the site, one is the utility shed and NOT a second cabin. Cabin lies within easy access of all Hocking Hills activities. Landline phone available for use. NO INTERNET…. No cell service in the immediate area. Let me reiterate, as there have been a few complaints that said we never told this: THERE IS NO INTERNET, we cannot get it, it is not available. THERE IS NO CELL SERVICE. The lack of these two things is what I love about our location. Work cannot call me to come in.

The only big negative is I came home with a body rash and the only thing I could think of is that it started after using the hot tub. It is just now going away.

Property was super clean and cozy, set well back from the road (which wasn't too busy regardless), and perfect for our getaway. Good proximity to hiking in Hocking Hills State Park and other nearby nature areas. Check-in was seamless. The hot tub was great to have, especially after a day of hiking, as was the porch swing. The bed was comfortable, and the kitchen nice and functional.

We had an incredibly relaxing Memorial Day weekend at Bear Cozy Cabin! Tucked away in the woods, it was the perfect family escape to completely unplug and recharge. Having zero cellphone network turned out to be a major blessing—no distractions, just pure nature and great quality time. The absolute highlight was soaking in the hot tub after a long day of hiking. It’s an amazing, peaceful and cozy spot to reset.

Bear cabin is a gem! Very clean and cozy. The Bear theme decor was so cute! Well stocked kitchen and amenities .The sheets and towels were nice quality. The hot tub was spectacular after hiking all day. It is located on the back porch next to an outdoor seating area. It is well maintained and worked great. The cabin location is very private and in the woods. There is a fire ring and grill but we did not use either. The grill is the kind you need charcoal (think public picnic area type). The bedroom has a full sized bed. The cabin was well located to many of the area attractions, just a short drive. Two mini splits kept the area very comfortable. I did get weak cell service via T-mobile only on the nightstand on the bedroom outdoor wall. Highly recommend if you are looking for a cozy non commercial place in the woods.

The cabin was perfect. Hot tub was great after a day of hiking. We took our Chihuahuas and it was so nice to be able to have them with us. Everything you need for a comfortable, quiet stay. I would definitely go back.
