Peaceful scenic spot
A very attractive pleasant place. The only downside was that heating was by a wood heater which took a lot of wood and required topping up in the middle of the night to keep the place warm.
Thanks for your feedback Ian,
We are happy to hear you enjoyed the house.
The underfloor heating runs all winter is turned off when the weather warms up and unfortunately we had a cold front come through when you were staying and you therefore had to rely on the fireplace for warmth. All beds are also fitted with electric blankets. We hope this didn't ruin your stay and do hope you might return one day in future.
We appreciate the comments and feedback.
The Berry Getaways Team
Too far out in the sticks for us.
This property was a looking way out of Berry and felt too isolated for us.
Thanks for your 4 star review. I expect this reflects the beautiful house and spot that Cherrywood is in. The property offers free wifi and phone line so guests can stay connected. The short 15 minute drive back to Berry is so beautiful through the trees and views. We find most travellers book this house for privacy, the large amazing gardens and the comfort of having an entire home to enjoy. Thanks again for choosing to stay with us! Te team at Berry Getaways!
Family weekend away
Lovely property tucked away between Berry and Kangaroo valley. Pristine nature, nice views and well equipped. Comfortable beds and all round good place to stay.
Beautiful and Peaceful
Great place to stay for a group. Beautiful surroundings and really close to Berry and Kangaroo Valley. A bit tricky to find at first but well worth it.
Hi Chantelle, thanks again for staying at Cherrywood! Glad you hear you enjoyed your stay. It's lovely and secluded up in the bush which is why we put the mud map in with the directions when picking the key up :)
Hope you see you again next time!
Lovely house but access is difficult
Very nice house, great layout for two groups staying together as bedrooms are at opposite ends of the house. However, a few things do detract from relaxation and enjoyment - the long driveway to house is really badly maintained and not great on city sedans, and you are required to take all rubbish with you to dispose of - we couldn't drive it 800km back to Melbourne so this was a pain, as only alternative is to illegally dump it in town. Cost of rubbish disposal should be factored into price so guests can relax. Also, the neighbours dog spent a lot of time hanging around the house, which wasn't great with two babies in our group. The views were incredible though!
Perfect getaway from the city!
"We chose Cherrywood as our Xmas in July weekend destination for 6 adults and 3 toddlers. What appealed to us when booking was the quiet, hilltop location, an outside play area especially for the kids and the fact it had no phone reception or wifi!
When we approached the property and travelled the last few minutes on a single forest track (no 4WD needed!) you immediately felt a disconnect from the city crazyness. The view into the valley from the back deck was awesome and no photo would do it justice.
The property is fantastically equipped for catering to large groups with all kitchen essentials provided. The bedrooms are spacious with comfy beds and everything was spotless.
We would not hesitate in recommending this to anyone who wanted to get away from it all for a weekend!"
