Pagosa Springs on the lakes

Condo on Hatcher Lake/Reservoir with 2 bdrm/2 full baths and beds to sleep 7 plus sofa queen sleeper for 2 more but would make it tight. Okay for 4-6 adults. Nice view of lake with kayaking available on 4 city/county lakes within 6-8 miles. .

The perfect place for us

This location is quiet yet close to all the things we like. 20 minutes to Piedra hiking, 30 minutes to Williams Creek Reservoir, 40 minutes from bigger and better hikes. At the same time, it's less than 15 minutes to grocery stores and 20 minutes to downtown Pagosa and the hot springs. Our primary purposes when coming to Pagosa are to get out in the wilderness, and to use spare time to write. This location is perfect for both.

Comfortable stay

2nd time staying at property. Everything was clean and spacious. New flooring and paint throughout since we stayed last. The only thing that can use improvement is kitchen prepping knives were practically non existent (broken handles) and non stick pans need to be replaced. I had to go to Walmart and buy a cheap set for 12. Maybe they will read this review and purchase a new set for this property along with prepping knives. . Other than that I would stay again but would bring my own coffee filters, knives and pans.

Comfortable condo that could use a good cleaning

We spent a week at this condo in Pagosa Springs. We were pleasantly surprised by the extra loft space which included 2 queen beds and 3 twin beds. The kitchen, dining room and living area were comfortable and spacious. It was nice to have access to the washer and dryer. Overall the condo could use a good cleaning and updating. The master bed was rock hard and the pillows were completely flat. The bathrooms had all kinds of bugs in them and there were ants all over the living room floor and furniture. We found mice droppings in the kitchen drawers and did see several mouse traps out. There was trash left under the beds from previous visitors and was lacking when it came to cleanliness. The outdoor space was not as private as we expected as the tenants at the condos next door would walk by frequently. The location was good in regards to Pagosa Springs and the view of the lake was nice. The owners did respond promptly when we reached out for assistance.

The owners have some feedback about your experience: We’re glad that we could assist you with your concerns, and some of them we resolved after your departure, as there wasn’t enough time to do so. - At the time, the pest control was handled by the condo association maintenance, but since your review, we have hired an additional pest control company and it is not a problem anymore. We’re sincerely sorry for how this impacted your stay. Even though this is a mountain setting, we request that renters keep the doors closed at all times to avoid any larger pests from entering. - We personally went and inspected, removed any trash, did extra cleaning and it is in excellent condition. We’re sorry that our cleaning was not as thorough as it should have been and we are keeping close tabs on that. - As a result of your opinion, we ordered a mattress topper for the master bedroom bed for extra comfort, and fluffier pillows so there is a choice for our guests. We really try to do all that we can to make our guests feel comfortable and we’re grateful for the feedback so we can try to meet every preference and need. Please feel free to come back anytime.

Our Paradise Vacation

Pagosa Springs Get Away!

We had a little weekend get away,10/14 thru 10/16, to enjoy the scenery, hot springs and shopping. This home was perfect for the weekend. It was only four of us but I was surprised that the home could accommodate even more people if need be. The master bedroom was nice and the bed was comfortable. The second bedroom was also very nice with a comfortable bed. There were two more full size beds upstairs in the loft and TWO more twin beds in a small room upstairs also! We had a couple of hiccups with minor maintenance problems, the showerhead in one of the bathrooms was cracked and one of the burners on the stove did not work, but we were able to let the property manager know quickly. The view of the lake from the back porch area...SPECTACULAR!! The bbq grill in the back worked great, made some fajitas one night! The living room area was nicely furnished and the fire place was perfect for a movie night. There were plenty of board games and books in the living room if you need a family event to do otherwise the TV had plenty to watch with Netflix, Hulu and other streaming apps. The kitchen and dining area was a nice spot to spend time together as I cooked and everyone hung around the table enjoying conversations and drinks. The heater in the home DEFINTELY works when you need it to, and the house stays so nice and cool during the day. The home is a good 10 min drive from town but the drive to and from was very scenic, this area is beautiful! I will definitely be returning with the family for another stay in the near future!

Nice size, great location

We had 5 people, so most 2 bedrooms were not quite big enough. This one has plenty of extra beds up in the loft area. The location is not far to town and right on the lake for paddle boarding, fishing, etc. Also very convenient to lots of great hikes in the area. We will definitely stay here again.

The price is amazing and the property is much bigger than we expected! It has 6 beds!! Beautiful view upon a hill. The communication was great too!! My only complaint was on cleanliness. You can definitely tell someone cleans and replaces the linens, but it could use a good deep cleaning. It’s very dusty and the carpet has some definite wear and tear. We vacuumed several times while we were there and you couldn’t really tell. It maybe needs a good shampoo or it’s time for replacements. There was food left in the refrigerator too. Nothing perishable, but condiments and things that I’m just not okay with using. These things result in 4 star review.

End unit condo with lovely lake view!

Check in and out was easy. We had trouble with utilizing the Roku controller. And, both beds were extra firm and uncomfortable. The views from the windows were great, we watched snow and wildlife. It was worth it.

Great Home Base for our Pagosa Adventures

This is everything we needed for our trip to Pagosa. Just down the road from our hiking adventures at San Juan National Forest and a quick trip to the hot springs. When we returned from our busy day, we had a patio with beautiful views to sit and relax. Much appreciated!

Perfect Pagosa Springs Stay

We fell in love with Pagosa Springs and we fell in love with the condo we stayed in. It was perfect for our family. The kids loved the upstairs loft and we enjoyed our room. The living room was so cozy and comftorable. The whole layout was just so fun and we called it home for a week. We loved it!! We are coming back next year!!
