Hidden beneath a rolling deck, a private spa awaits at The Waterhouse
Concealed beneath a remote-controlled roll-away deck, a private spa awaits at The Waterhouse—a unique architectural retreat nestled amongst beautiful cool-climate gardens and overlooking a tranquil waterlily and koi pond. Whether you're planning a romantic escape, a restorative weekend with friends, or simply seeking respite from city life, The Waterhouse offers an experience that is both luxurious and deeply relaxing. Just 90 minutes from Sydney, this striking A-frame home draws inspiration from mid-century design and sits seamlessly within its landscaped surroundings. Floor-to-ceiling glass and expansive sliding doors create a beautiful connection between indoors and out, allowing natural light and garden views to become part of the living experience. The heart of the home is a lofty, light-filled open-plan living space that flows effortlessly onto the deck and pond beyond. Spend your mornings enjoying coffee beside the water, your afternoons exploring the Blue Mountains, and your evenings soaking beneath the stars in the hidden spa as the sounds of the garden settle around you. The Waterhouse comfortably accommodates up to four guests with two luxurious king bedrooms. One is located on the ground floor, while the second occupies a mezzanine loft overlooking the living space below. The interiors have been thoughtfully curated with a collection of furniture, artwork, and treasured pieces gathered over many years. The result is a home with genuine warmth, character, and soul—far removed from the feel of a standard holiday rental. The fully equipped kitchen is designed for relaxed entertaining and includes an espresso coffee machine, gas cooktop, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, and a selection of pantry essentials to help you settle in. Whether you're preparing a leisurely breakfast or a special dinner, you'll find everything you need close at hand. During the cooler months, underfloor heating throughout the living areas, master bedroom, and main bathroom ensures a wonderfully cosy stay. Slip into a warm bath, curl up with a book, or simply watch the changing light dance across the pond from the comfort of the lounge. Located just 200 metres from Wentworth Falls Lake and a short stroll to the village centre, you'll enjoy easy access to charming cafés, local shops, and everyday essentials. Beyond the village lies the very best of the Blue Mountains, with spectacular lookouts, waterfalls, bushwalking trails, and World Heritage wilderness waiting to be explored. For those moments when you simply wish to stay in, The Waterhouse offers Wi-Fi, Netflix, Stan, board games, an outdoor fire pit, quiet spaces for reading or working, and countless opportunities to do absolutely nothing at all. Special rates are available for extended stays. Security Notice: For guest and property security, a single external camera monitors the front gate and is used solely to verify arrivals and departures.

This property was amazing, Dan was there at the drop of a hat with any question we had. The location amazing, the house amazing. So quiet and peaceful. Loved every minute of it. Kitchen was fully stocked, plenty of room for a family and extremely clean and comfortable.
Just amazing. We are going through a tough time as a family and being surrounded by nature with the amazing curated gardens and very considered property was incredible- thanks Dan!
The host was so helpful and and always available. The house was just beautiful; the gardens, pond and spa so lovely to sit by. Kitchen was well stocked, with everything you could want. Would definitely book again. A gem.
One of the nicest places we have stayed. Great amenities, spotlessly clean and beautifully styled. Dan is a fantastic host and is super helpful, we will be back!
The place was lovely and relaxing. Definitely will stay again. Loved the heated floors & spa. The place was very clean and an instruction book is provided for all your needs which was amazing.

Thanks Chloe. Really glad you guys enjoyed your stay. And I appreciate how neat and tidy you left everything. Hope to see you again. Dan
We loved our short stay at this little gem in Wentworth falls. The highlight is of course the stunning gardens with deck over a koi pond. This retractable deck then reveals an amazing spa...
This property is the perfect retreat!
Always immaculately clean, well presented, & so comfortable in the cold weather.
Dan is always a wonderful host, & has made changes to the property, which make it even more appealing.
He is always happy to make your stay as nice as possible.
Our favourite place!
We really enjoyed our stay! Made our trip to the Blue Mountains memorable. The home was beautiful, and had everything you needed. The spa was the best. Dan was very responsive. TV has Netflix and Stan. Highly recommend you stay here when visiting Blue Mountains!

So glad you enjoyed the Waterhouse Zara. Look forward to having you back again soon.
Beautiful house in a tranquil setting…..
The spa was just perfect with a champagne in hand on a cold winter’s day.
Excellent communication with Dan the host….. will hopefully be back
The Waterhouse was the perfect place to getaway from the city and totally relax. Nestled amongst the bush and close to shops, restaurants and transport - you will not want for anything.
Curl up with a good book and a coffee and watch the fish in the pond or relax with a glass of champagne in the spa. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend The Waterhouse for anyone who wants to escape the city.

Thanks so much Karen. You were the perfect guest and I welcome you back anytime.
This place has so much soul and character! The garden is wild and beautiful, comfortable beds, beautiful kitchen and bathrooms. It's a lovely home filled with personal touches.
We stayed in Spring and could hear cicadas and frogs at night which was really nice. It was cool during the day and warm at night.
The spa is a divine treat! We really enjoyed our stay.
We had the most amazing weekend at this lake house. Everything was so easy and enjoyable. Dan was detailed in his communication re check in and the property. The property itself was very clean, comfy beds and all the details just added to our stay. Nothing better than sitting in the spa looking up at the stars at night
This accomodation was honestly one of the best we have ever stayed in! The photos do not do it justice - it is even more incredible in real life. The garden was in full bloom and the pond with water lilies made relaxing in the outdoor spa so peaceful. The whole property and the amenities are so well thought out. Loved the heated floors! Dan was lovely to deal with. You will not regret booking this place!
Wow! Dan’s home is stunning and we felt very lucky to have found it. Perfect location, blissful environment. Sitting by pond was like being in a Monet painting. We loved everything about it including the care Dan had put in to making us feel comfortable and catered for. Thanks!
Highly recommend this property for a quiet stay in the beautiful Wentworth Falls. Beautifully designed and very tranquil lodgings. The under-floor heated tiles are an added luxury! The location is superb for a beautiful stay in the Blue Mountains. The property manager was very accommodating to our needs. We can’t wait to come back.
P.s. Don’t forget to pack the marshmallows!

Thanks for the kind review. It was a pleasure having you stay in The Waterhouse and I appreciate you leaving everything so tidy
The property was terrific with wonderful surrounds. There was ample facilities with 2 very comfortable King sized beds, one upstair and one downstair. Even though it was summer the temperature plummeted and the heated floors were wonderful. The kitchen is fully featured with everything you need to self-cater. The ambiance is fantastic with landscaped gardens surrounding the house. There is a hot tub under deck which we used a night with a glass of wine. It was superb.

Thanks for the great review. Really glad you guys enjoyed your stay and I hope to see you back again some time. Cheers, Dan
Amazing property - even better than the pictures it was truly fantastic, location was great to see all the tourist attractions as well as a massive range of walks. It was close to everything you could need. Place was so clean - probably the cleanest place I’ve stayed in, all the cutlery was spotless and you could tell the place had been properly cleaned rather than just a quick run over. Dan gave us loads of info in a message prior to arrival and the instruction manual left was even better. He had thought of everything - down to a speaker in the livingroom (we always bring our own) and the spa pool was even better than we could have imagined, we were shocked at how hot it actually got. After a long hike it’s exactly what you need. Could not fault a thing - if you’re considering staying I would highly highly recommend and will definitely be returning when I can!

Hi Kerry. Thanks for the wonderful review, and thanks so much for leaving the place incredibly clean and tidy.... it was almost like you hadn't stayed. Anyway, much appreciated. Happy that you enjoyed the house and your time in the mountains. Hope to hear from you again. Dan
Me and my partner stayed at Dan’s Place for 2 Nights and it was amazing! The check-in was very easy and even if you don’t have a car you can walk from the train station which takes 10-13 mins.
We loved using the spa pool!

I love good design. From cool architecture to mid century sculpture, I find it inspiring and exciting. When I travel I'll generally go to see creative and edgy buildings, whether they are residential or commercial. Recent trips have been to Japan, Cuba and the States.
Why they chose this property
I moved to the Blue Mountains in 2010 because I was looking for a cooler option to Sydney. I fell in love with the genuine sense of community the smaller villages offer, and being a landscaper I really enjoyed the seasonality of the spring flowers and autumnal foliage. The Waterhouse is a very special place, and I really hope you love and appreciate the beauty of the house and gardens too.
