If you are visiting in the winter, we recommend an All Wheel Drive vehicle because the driveway is down a slightly steep hill. Snow mobile trail entrance is across the street from the house.

Relaxing Retreat at the lake

The property was as advertised. Great location convenient to all that the Lake George area has to offer and off the beaten path to provide quite relaxing time. Would stay here again.

Marvelous stay

We had six people stay and the three bedrooms offered great privacy. We loved the grounds and sitting on the porch enjoying the magnificent views. Thank you, Sharon, for a great time!

Great house, great view

Very pleasant stay next to the babbling brook and a great view of Potash Mountain. Host was wonderful. Many wonderful nights grilling on the porch and roasting marshmallows in the fire pit!

A wonderful property

On all major dimensions it was excellent. The location at the foot of a mountain and by a stream made it very special. There are, however leeches in the stream that flows by the house.

Paradise

This is the 3rd time I have stayed at this rental location. This is such a beautiful piece of property and the owner is wonderful to work with. I would recommend this place very highly; it is one of my 2 favorite places in the lake George area and I look so forward to returning year after year.

Fantastic Stay!

Despite a stormy start, and a power outage, we had a wonderful few days up at Lake George! Sharon was fantastic in keeping us updated on the power outage and answered any questions we had. The home was beautiful and the area was so peaceful. Each day we were visited by a pair of fawns. Very close to town but far enough away to have the chance to really enjoy nature. Perfect place for our family! Absolutely a 10 out of 10!

Lovely Property

House was exactly what we were looking for. The driveway is very steep beware of that. There were a few things left in the oven and utensils that weren’t clean from the last guests but there was access to cleaning items and i cleaned. The upstairs ac may need to be replaced soon. The lawn service came twice while we were there for a week stay. But honestly it was a perfect stay. The host had clean linens and the property is set to have quality time. They had games in the closet and outside. The view was exquisite and the little stream was magical. I miss the house already. My app stopped working during this stay and so I did text with the host at the very end instead because the company gave me her number. She was very responsive and lovely prior to our stay as well.big thank you again, see you soon

Perfect Location & Set Up for 3 Generations

Traveled to the area for a wedding. The house was in a great location for easy access to the Northway, Lake George and Saratoga. But, set apart enough to be away from the rush & noise. We had 3 generations in the house and it was perfect. Both first floor bedrooms were dark & cool for the napping toddler. The adults enjoyed the WiFi & large screen TVs ready to load our Netflix account. The kitchen was well stocked with pans, plates, glasses, can openers, pitcher, etc. We requested a crockpot & it was waiting for us. The bedding was like new, towels were large & absorbent. Plenty of closet space and comfort items. The house is nicely decorated with quaint antiques mixed with modern amenities. When rain put a stop to our Great Escape day, the games were a welcome diversion. Sadly, we didn’t have time to build a fire, but that gives us something to look forward to for our next trip out. Most importantly, when the heat index unexpectedly soared above 105, we were able to have the bride & her attendants use the master suite for hair, make up & photos as the venue had no AC. Frankly, the brook and yard would be a beautiful site for an intimate wedding! Thank you so much for sharing this tranquil gem!

Family Friendly Stay

This is a wonderful location and property. The house is only about 10 minutes from Lake George...so close but far enough away that it is secluded and quiet. The property is within 5 minutes of the Lake Luzerne state campground where you can rent canoes/kayaks and float on a beautiful small lake. There are several tubing excursion businesses within 5 minutes of the house. The house itself was perfect for our family of 5. There are three full bathrooms which made for lots of room and privacy for all. The house was welcoming, warm and cozy. A horseshoe pit, fire pit, and basketball hoop were big hits with my teenagers. We had such a wonderful, relaxing few days. I strongly recommend this home for all!

Great family house

This house has all the comforts of home. Well equipped kitchen, game closet with paper for scoring, basketball net with ball, extra blankets, Qtips and much more. My husband and I enjoyed watching the beaver in the creek. My family had a wonderful time here, we are looking forward to coming back.

Peaceful weekender

Very relaxing stay and plenty of space for our two small families (4 adults and 3 kids under 2yo). The house is well stocked, lovely and clean and well taken care of. Location was great with easy access to the lakes. Would absolutely recommend this property.

Americade Adventure 2021

Staying at Sharon's place made coming back to Lake George for Americade event this year even more special because of how relaxing it was each day to return to the cozy place, kick-back, cook and wind down from working the rally. The house was perfect for the 3 of us. The kitchen was well stocked with the right utensils pots and pans, (I was the cook among the group) the décor was warm and comfortable, she even had a lovely garland of fall leaves adorning the staircase up to the master bedroom that I added a little "twinkle" to with a strand of lights, my way of paying it forward in fun for those who come next! The property was gorgeous with a lovely babbling brook that when I left my windows open at night lulled me to sleep! Only one regret is that we did not get to spend more time at the house to enjoy the fire pit or back yard horseshoes etc - We look forward to coming back next year for sure! Thanks again Sharon for this opportunity and the kind communication together during our stay - Happy Autumn & Holidays ahead. Cheers - Deb Drinan

Heaven on Earth

From the moment I saw the property I knew this was going to be a wonderful rental.. The owner answered all of our questions no matter how silly in just a matter of minutes. The distance to where we could the where we could launch our kayaks was only about a mile which was very very convenient and only $10 A-day. While we were here we hiked and used the fire pit and cooked out. This was a wonderful vacation.

Great Rental

We spent a week in this house in Lake Luzerne. The home is clean and well organized. The way the home sits on the property emphasizes the natural features and result is a very private experience. The location is great, as it is within about 15 minutes to a wide range of family friendly activities. Overall this rental exceeded expectations.

Beautiful home and property!

Just returned from a 5 day stay! This house was lovely. Beautiful property with a brook running through it, Potash mountain in the background, fire pit, grill, horseshoes, cornhole. Listening to the water in the morning while drinking coffee was so peaceful. We saw a blue heron a few times, some ducks in the water, my mom saw a deer in the brook too! Property was very well-kept, master suite upstairs was awesome with its own screened in porch, bathroom, and area with coffee and fridge. My niece loved the bunk bed. She said if we come back she wants to stay in the same house!! Other bedroom downstairs had its own bathroom as well. Overall a great stay.

Lovely getaway

The place was very clean! The upstairs bedroom was very roomy with an enclosed porch and a little room with a coffeemaker and small fridge . It had a full bath upstairs and two full baths downstairs. A real blessing with 5 adults and 2 children. Kitchen was well equipped, all appliances clean and in great condition. Spacious, secluded property. A mile from Fourth Lake, 15 min to Lake George. Great location.

Lovely snowed-in weekend

We had a wonderful family escape at Sharon's chalet in the middle of February. Her home is cozy and has a beautiful view. The kitchen was perfect for making family meals, and we were just a quick drive from seeing all the local attractions. The kids loved the bunk beds and games closet, and the adults loved lounging around and catching up on reading. Thanks for a great woodsy retreat!

Clean Charming House

Enjoyed our stay in the house. The sound of water from the brook is very calming with morning coffee. While the property is on older side, it is super clean, well-kept and charming with unique items throughout the house. Sharon is also great to communicate with. She is super flexible and responsive throughout.

Great stay!

Stayed for over a month with our two small kids and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great outdoor space for children to run around. A small creek runs through the property where kids spotted deer, fish, frogs, birds. Fire pit and horseshoes in the yard. Gas grill on the deck. House is very comfortable and AC on hot days was very nice Short drive to kids activities (swimming at the lakes, horseback riding, playgrounds) Sharon was a great host and would definitely recommend staying here

Amazing get away

Private house with creek running through the bottom end. Ten minutes from Lake george. Three bedrooms and three full bathrooms. Next street up the hill Thomas takes you direct to the Hudson River. Corner store at the end of the street and a tubing company as well that is highly recommended. Sharon the property owner was easy to get a hold of and very kind. We will definitely be visiting again.

A Splendid Oasis in the Heart of Lake George!

Our family stayed here for an extended Labor Day Weekend and we do not have enough good things to say about this property and its property manager - Sharon! First of all, the location is beyond central, you are minutes away from all the major attractions that Lake George has to offer, minutes to the beautiful beach in Lake Luzerne and a short drive from Saratoga Springs. That being said, when you actually drive into the property, you feel like you are in a hidden oasis away from hum drum of a big city. The property is vast and boasts a brook with a bridge that you can watch the fish swimming from, large butterflies fluttering around, gorgeous greenery and birch tree, a firepit perfect for smores and sharing an evening together around and enormous space to roam around or just sit on the gorgeous blue Adirondack chairs and feel completely at peace. All with a picture-perfect mountain view in the background! The house is so well organized and maintained that you will not want to leave. You walk into a big living room area with an open floor plan, a big kitchen with an island in the background and a dining table surrounded by so many windows that you will think its heaven every morning. On the first floor, there is a large bedroom with its own master bath and tub as well as a second bedroom with a very spacious bunk bed that our 3-year old loved! There is a second bath next to the kitchen as well with a stand-up shower. Upstairs is a gorgeous open floor plan master bedroom with a walk in closet equipped with its own refrigerator, coffee machine, and snacks galore! Let's just say you can live there. Not to mention the fully accessibly, sit-down master bath. There is also an enclosed patio on both floors with mountain views that is great for looking out onto the brook and watching the otters in the morning. There are plenty of games stored away for the guests in the living room area and TVs, ACs, fans everywhere, though we never turned on the TV once. This house was the perfect respite that we were looking for and so great for families and bonding! We had 3 generations in the house and made so many lasting memories. Plenty of attractions nearby - lazy river tubing, steam boat rides, mini-golf, Ben & Jerry's ice cream, go-karts, horseback riding and more. Sharon the owner was super responsive and accommodating and even honored our request for a late checkout. We would love to come back and stay at this property again - it is truly a hidden gem!

Family vacation

We had a great time at the house. It was clean and big enough for us and our 3 teen girls. We played cards, battleship and scrabble in the evenings, and enjoyed the Lake George area. We went whitewater rafting and had a great time.
