3 Bed 3 Bath Cabin & Guest Cabin on Gull Lake Chain Across from Golf Course!

We are offering for rent our 3 Bedroom, 3 Bathroom very private west facing cabin and guest cabin on Roy Lake in Nisswa MN. Roy is a very clean and beautiful 350 acres lake and is part of the 15,000 acre Gull Lake Chain for endless boating and fun! This is the perfect property for families offering a completely remodeled & air conditioned property with a main floor Queen bedroom and bathroom. The upstairs offers a lake view loft with a full size futon leading to a large bedroom offering 2 queen beds and a full private bath. 10 feet from the main cabin you will find the guest cabin, also remodeled & air conditioned with a TV/living area area, single bunk beds, a queen bed in the living area and a private queen bedroom and another full bath. The outside gives you a mix of sun and shade, new large lakeside deck and lots of seating room around the fire-pit. There is a sand shoreline, swimming raft, dock, kayak, canoe and paddle boat available for your use. Located in a very nice bay facing west for great sunsets and extended afternoons. Our neighbors are full time retired residents so we really cater to families and those who will have fun and enjoy the property but not intrude on their relaxation either. Catch fish right off the dock while you visit with family and watch the kids swim!

We enjoyed a wonderful 4 day stay at this beautiful cabin. The cabin is located in a nice quiet cove on the lake which was perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding. The cabin was very clean and well maintained and had a nice yard which provided plenty of room for playing yard games. The owners were pleasant and very good to deal with. An added bonus for us was the nice walking and bike path nearby. This place suited our needs and wants perfectly!

This cabin was the perfect fit for our group of friends with kids. Our kids caught a bunch of fish from the dock and had fun playing in the water during the daytime. The cabin has a small sandy beach and the water is clear and not too deep for kids. The house was surrounded by trees and even with other cabins on each side, it felt private. Great deck and fire pit area. Many beds and rooms to choose from and we slept well. The kitchen looks out on the lake which is always a plus. We hope to come back!

Great four day vacation spot

This beautiful cabin setting was great for all eight of us; from my 13 year old great niece to my 97 year old father. We spent time on the deck, grilled chicken and brats, made s’mores in the fire pit, and spent a lot of time on the water in the canoe, kayak, paddle board and paddle boat. One of the most relaxing, enjoyable vacations I can remember.

Roy Lake Retreat

My family stayed at the Roy Lake Retreat and it was so much fun! The beach was so clean and sandy the kids could play in the sand, swim and go down the water slide. The cabin was clean and accommodating. We will definitely be back! Of all the VRBOs we have stayed at, this was the most swimming the kids did. We were close to Nisswa so it was easy to run to and from the shops. There was plenty of space for our group of 10. We will be back!

Lake Roy Relaxation

We had a very relaxing stay at the Lake Roy Property. Adults and a teenage had a great amount of space to relax and enjoy the great weather. We brought our bikes and were able to ride to downtown Nisswa and get on the trail, it was easy access to the trail. The property was beautiful and well taken care of. The front deck is the place to be to catch some sun, listen to the trees and loons playing in the bay. Very relaxing.

Great time! Met all expectations

Our family of five including my daughter and fiance had a great 4 nights. We loved the place and hope to go back again sometime. Enjoyed the feel of seclusion, the great view of the lake. We used all the water toys and had fires two of the nights. The place is just as it's listed. The lake is great for kayaking. We brought two of our own and then used the one provided along with the canoe.

Girls weekend

We rented this cabin for girls weekend. There were 10 of us. It was perfect for us. Plenty of sleeping room and space. Loved having the little cabin next door. 3 bathrooms is a plus. Deck was nice to sit on and there was a nice path down to the lake. Very clean and not cluttered.

Beyond expectations!

Tim’s vacation spot was beyond our expectations! The house and guest cabin were clean and just right for space for 4 adults and 4 kids, the land around the property was beautiful and spacious for playing, relaxing and having fires, and the lake area is wonderful—I’ve never seen lake water as clear as it was around the dock at this place! The water was shallow enough for kids to play freely and adults to float and fish! Tim was great to work with, flexible and helpful! We’ll be back!!

Family vacation

Our stay at this cabin was wonderful. The cabin exceeded expectations and provided something for everything. We had 7 adults and two kids(ages 2&4). Cabin provided all the comforts of home with the added luxury of being on the Gull Lake Chain. Our two sons fished for hours on the dock and caught sunnies and bass at all times of the day. Also nice being so close to Nisswa downtown and Grandview Lodge is walking distance which provides a whole slew of activities to partake in. This property provided everything you could ask for in an up north cabin getaway. Wouldn’t hesitate to rent this cabin again.

Absolutely FANTASTIC !!!

To start off, one of the main reasons for the 5 Star review is due to owner Tim Buerman and his incredibly quick, helpful and accommodating responses to all of our inquiries and questions. Especially with the global covid-19 pandemic still going on, he was very open to providing a refund if we did not feel comfortable staying there. This was a vacation / surprise Birthday party for my wife and included her children and their families, so 10 of us in all. The cabin & guest cabin worked out perfect for the 2 families with smaller children and also for the downtime needed for their naps, our granddaughter has Cystic Fibrosis and the guest cabin was perfect for her to do the twice a day vest treatments. The A/C in both cabins was very comfortable, as were the beds. The code door locking and unlocking worked well, and was convenient for not having to carry a key or work a lockbox. There was plenty of room for the morning and evening cooking duties, we were close enough to Nisswa and had pizza & wings delivered from Rafferty's Pizza and that worked out excellent!! The deck was also a very nice feature for our group of 10 and we all had plenty of chairs, tables and umbrellas for the sun. The views to the lake were amazing and access down to the lake and dock was easy for us and the 2 benches were nice to sit on while the kids were in the lake. The fire pit worked out excellent for our evening fires and there are PLENTY of chairs to use for the fire pit or to carry to the lake for additional seating. The swimming raft, kayak and paddle boat were huge hits with kids and adults. We rented a pontoon from Nisswa (Dave's Sportland) and towed it to a nearby public access on Roy Lake and had an amazing time on a few of the lakes in the Gull Lake chain. Overall this was a wonderful place for a lakeside vacation and with children. THANKS Tim & Destiny!!!!

Perfect long weekend

This cabin was even better than expected! It was perfect for a multi-generational long weekend away from the cities. The main cabin was more than enough space for my spouse and I and our 1 year old (also very child-friendly!), and the guest bunk was a great way for grandma to have some quiet, relaxing space to herself. Both were very clean and stayed cool even on 80+ degree days. The property included everything we needed from kitchen supplies to water toys, and even a baby gate. Location was amazing, with picture perfect sunsets looking over the lake from the fire pit and a huge well kept yard for our son to crawl around in all day. It was a super quick trip into town for groceries when needed, and so many restaurants and activities within a short drive (although we hardly ever left). We definitely hope to come back and stay here every year!

This property is truly unique due to its privacy and location. There are not a lot of lake properties that can say you have such privacy on both sides while sitting in the yard facing the lake. All while on 3 acres and across the road from a golf course!
