About this property
Fabulous Cottage on Pristine Broad Bay
Recent renovated 1,500 sq. ft. light-filled mid-century cottage on a beautiful peninsula overlooking Broad Bay. Eight acres of open fields down to one of the most pristine saltwater bays in Maine. Two private suites, each with their own access to the large open cedar deck with plenty of seating for sun bathing in the morning and cocktails in the evening. An outdoor shower for those who hate to come indoors. A fully equipped cook's kitchen. Washer and dryer. Three zones of air conditioning.
Dutch Neck is a peninsula jutting into one of the last pristine bays on the mid-coast of Maine. Feast on local lobster or dine in one of many great local restaurants. Bring your boat because there is a paved launch ramp just down the street. The fishing is great.
Waldoboro is on the Medomak River, at Muscongus Bay. It was originally a German settlement and was known for its local shipyards, which built five-masted schooners in the 19th century. Waldoboro is within easy reach of the Midcoast towns of Pemaquid, Damariscotta, Boothbay, Freeport and Portland to the south and Rockland, Rockport, Camden and Belfast to the north.

About the host
Hosted by Eric Stark
We have being coming to Maine for 35 years. We never tire of it. The beauty, the weather, the ocean, and the people never fail to amaze us. Life is simpler here. The days are long, unfolding in the summer in the early hours of the day and extending well into the evening. We relish every minute. Sailing, swimming, hiking, gardening, picnics with friends and trips to the islands; the possibilities are endless.
What makes this property unique
This a great house for people who love simplicity and great art. The house is light-filled and restful, with plenty off places to read or just relax. The two bedroom suites are separated by a large living room, ensuring plenty of privacy. Each suite has it own entrance to the deck. The path to the bay is filled with wild flowers and places to picnic. It is an artist's paradise.
