We really enjoyed our stay. Host was receptive and accommodating. Free location amazing amenities overall loved everything about the property. We stayed with friends for a wedding and it was absolutely perfect.
The property was just beautiful. The perfect property for our annual family vacation. The children loved the pool table, hot tub and sauna, and my husband and I loved the fact that everything we could think of needing we found at our finger tips. The owners thought of everything and the stay was very enjoyable.
We enjoyed our time at the house wish we had known about problem with security. Wasted time checking doors trying to get it to work. Otherwise had a nice time.
Family trip over the 4th-best house rental we have ever had. Great big house. Perfect for my wife and I, 2 daughters/son in law and grandson. Fully stocked. Wonderful location. Noel and Greg were fab before, during and after. Don’t wait to rent this beauty.
The property is well equipped with amenities and has a nice terrace in the back. However, we were a bit surprised by the cameras placed in the garage and looking down at the terrace and jacuzzi. The property description says that there are cameras looking out at the property, but this felt quite invasive. Being on a main road, there is also a lot of traffic and noise in the front rooms. This is also an older home, even though the owners have made some upgrades. Lastly, there are no animals allowed, but the owners must have a dog as there was dog hair on one of the main rugs and in the pantry. Therefore and given the price, I don’t believe that it’s a good value for your money.

Steven, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you.
- All camera details are provided in the listing, none of the cameras including the one you are referring to point inward and by no means towards the terrace and jacuzzi. We have to have cameras out because we want to ensure our property is safe. When you rent a room at a hotel or motel, there are surveillance cameras in the garage and the public spaces of the facility. It is not unreasonable to have protective surveillance cameras on a residential rental property to protect it from weather damage, bears, people who violate the rules, and thieves. While we regret that you felt uncomfortable, we cannot compromise the security of the home. At no time during your stay did we look at the surveillance cameras. We only do this if an event occurs or if there is damage to the house. Our residential rental should have the same protections as the large hotels and motels.
- Yes this property is on the main road and we have no control over the amount of traffic that there is; however, we provide our guests with Noise and Light Cancelling shades and curtains for just this reason, you can't hear the traffic outside, and honestly, I sleep longer here than at my home. We have both in every bedroom.
- Our cleaners do a very good job. If you found dog hair I wish you would have alerted us so that we could come back and clean it up for you, no dogs or other pets are allowed in the house or property.
- The price for this property is fair, we came out before you arrived to prepare for the baby and I did a walkthrough to be sure it was ready for your arrival, I'm sorry you felt otherwise and didn't appreciate the efforts made.
- We have rules at Washoe County and house rules that we want to be followed for the safety of our home and our guests, when you vacated you left the AC and heating system on at the same time which resulted in a huge expense to us. You were over capacity which could have resulted in a fine and the cleaners worked extra hard to clean up after you and your 15 friends.
- The house was extensively renovated by the previous owner and by us after we purchased it and since we spent a year modernizing it with new floors, appliances, electronics, and an AC system, we want to ensure that our guests get the best that we have to offer for their comfort.
We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfi

Horrible
Ok,so we were 4 couples with 3 infants and 2 toddlers, when we got there homeowner didn’t want to let us in because she said that we are too many. We had to wait outside about 2 hours ,after a long flight, while arguing with homeowner and rental agency. On the Terms and C it says that are allowed up to 10 people in the house.
When we finally got in I was disappointed by lots of things:
- pet hair everywhere (we had to vacuum everyday)
- old generation TVs (you can’t watch YouTube)
- we couldn’t use the grill (we bought a new one)
- dirty bed sheets (the mattress cover was blood stained )
- cameras all around outside of the house, at the hot tub area there are 3 cameras (so no privacy at all), and the homeowner was watching us mostly all the time
- they have an AC Thermostat so we had to play often with the devices to heat up the house , someone was controlled the temperature by setting it much colder than normal ...
The best thing of our vacation were the beautiful places of the Lake Tahoe!

Hi Erin, we take it seriously when guests let us know that we missed the mark, and after sending your feedback to the homeowner, they’d like to share the following:
- The security cameras are mentioned on the listing and the purpose of these is for ensuring the gardener/cleaners are coming to the property to do their work, as well as ensuring guests are not exceeding the max occupancy or throwing parties. They are there also for security to make sure that the property is safe when there are guests and between stays.
- The number of guests permitted in the house is limited to 10 people because that is the number which is permitted by local regulations of Washoe County and because the house is equipped for that number of people. Failure to comply could result in a fine from the local regulatory agencies, so we take this issue seriously. We made sure to inform you of the max occupancy 3 times before your stay.
- This property is a no-pet household so there should never be dog hair. Additionally, the grill is not available during the winter because the snow can damage it.
- We have hydronic heating that goes through the walls and is controlled by 3 smart thermostats. We have no control over these since you have to be inside the house moving the thermometer. There are 3 in the entire house and guests are the only ones who control it.
We truly go above and beyond for our guests as other reviews mention, and we are confident that future guests will have exceptional stays!
Great property, good communication with the owner. Highly recommended

Great Property
Excellent property for our family. The grandkids enjoyed the swing set outside and plenty of room inside for everyone to spread out. The property owner was very accommodating, setting up an extra crib, etc. The backyard setting was wonderful.

Nice house!
We were in Tahoe for a family reunion. We have been visiting Tahoe for over 50 years as a family and are very familiar with the area. The Tahoe Fun House was perfect for my immediate family of 6 including my 88 year old mother. We were a little overwhelmed at first with all the new city and county regulations and the 17 page check in instructions but the house was very comfortable and very well stocked. It was conveniently located to all amenities and there was plenty to do at the house itself (hot tub, pool table, etc). It was a bummer that IVGID was not issuing passes this year to the private beaches but fortunately my sister owns a house a house in Incline so we were able to access the beaches nearby. The homeowner has all the kitchen cabinets labeled which helped us keep everything in its place as the owner requested. We especially loved the outside deck and having the family over for dinner. The children’s playground set was a hit with the little ones. There were also plenty of “extras” for little ones such as cribs, toys, movies, high chairs, booster seats, etc). We really enjoyed our stay and Noel was very accommodating.
This house is great for a large family gathering. There are accommodations and entertainment for all ages infant to senior. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and all the seating inside and outside provides many options. The playground was amazing especially during covid when the kids haven’t been in months. Great location, would have loved to have gone to the beach but city restrictions due to covid no guest passes.Thank you Noel for letting us enjoy your family getaway.
