Hi James! Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and the location of the property. Return guests are the ultimate compliment for us, so we very much appreciate that you plan to be back! Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you soon!
The unit was as described. Dated furnishings but clean. Bed was comfortable and the shower pleasantly strong with great hot water. The location was definitely a huge bonus right outside the Rocky Mountain National Park's Fall River entrance. The only two things I missed in the kitchen were there were no oven mitts and the only knives provided were steak knives which were pretty dull. Fridge was nice and clean and kept food well chilled. Listening to the mountain stream from the deck was relaxing.

We will look further into the kitchen inventory. We hope you are able to join us in the future.

This is an excellent place in an extraordinary location. The river below is beautiful from the large balcony. The hand-carved wood furniture is impressive. We had everything we needed, plus a gift basket with hot chocolate to mix after a long day of fun.

Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities
Location was wonderful. Staff was so very nice and helpful. Very close to RMNP entrance and town area. The river running in back was incredible. However, the unit itself was very rundown and seemed dirty. The carpet was nasty and even had carpet in one of the bathrooms. It was a very depressing place to be in such a beautiful destination.
We stayed here from July 3 - 7 and it was wonderful. The place was clean and roomy with a balcony overlooking the Fall River and the mountains. It was conveniently located close to Estes Park and the entrances to Rocky Mountain National Park.

We really enjoyed our stay at Fawn Valley Inn for a wonderful fall weekend. The unit is very spacious and has all the little touches you might need. I particularly appreciated the kitchen which was well-supplied and very clean. It's nice to be right on the river and very close to one of the RMNP entrances. Highly recommended.

Loved the property. We were a little afraid when we pulled in. We wanted a balcony where we could hear the water. Was surprised when we opened the door and got what we wanted

Absolutely lovely!
The unit was adorable, cozy and clean. The location was so peaceful and Elk were all over the place. The unit has absolutely everything you need to be comfortable and prepare meals at home if you want. The fireplace was a great addition and sitting outside on the porch in the evening listening to the river was so tranquil. The management team on site was so friendly and the owner beyond helpful! The bed was so comfy and so appreciated after a long day hiking. The only little negative was water pressure and temperature...needed to be a little stronger and warmer. Absolutely loved the place and plan on returning!

Thank you for your wonderful review. I am glad you had a relaxing time on property. I apologize for the issue with the water. We will definitely take a look at this. We are excited to have you return!
The beautiful river/creek running through the back was so wonderful. The only thing that could’ve made it better was if there were four rocking chairs instead of only one. We really enjoyed the warm swimming pool but it ddidnt open till 830 and we needed to hit the road so we only go to swim once. Would be nice if it opened at 7:00am for people who are traveling . We also couldn’t buy ice before we left because the office wasn’t open yet.

Debbie,
It is unfortunate to hear you were dissatisfied with your stay. The onsite laundry room machines were out of order during your stay due to unforeseen mechanical issues that were out of our control. For the inconvenience, we offered you a solution of a refund and allowed you to use the staff laundry room to make it right. Despite our best efforts, we were still not able to please you, we wish that was not the case and hope despite the inconvenience you were still able to enjoy your vacation in Estes.
This was a wonderful location. Less than 5 minutes to Rocky Mountain NP, and a beautiful condo with a stream and a trail right behind the property. The bed and futon were very comfortable and even without AC, it never got very hot even in late July. It was very quiet, people were friendly, and just a great place. The only very minor criticism is the kitchen. It needed a couple things to make it a fully functional kitchen. There was no mixing bowls, cutting board, ice cube trays, and a couple of other kitchen essentials were missed. This is very minor, but it brought an amazing 5 star place down to a 4.5 star. Outside of those small kitchen things this place is 5 star all the way.

Clean with lovely view
This little condo was nice and clean. We enjoyed the wood stove after hiking in 12-14" of snow. We enjoyed cooking our own dinners in the condo. The king bed was very comfortable. The view off the balcony was very nice, and we enjoyed hearing the rushing water.
We feel the kitchen needed some updating. Not much to work with. Need to update dishes and get some glass wine goblets. The couch in the living room was very uncomfortable to sit on and had to prop several pillows behind our backs. Having two bathrooms was nice. Staff at front desk was very friendly and helpful. Thank you for sharing your blessings with us.

Not curb appealing
We were skeptical about the place when we pulled to check in. You go into a hallway and up some stairs to get to the unit. The unit was a nice size and the king bed was great. However the water pressure was next to none. Took a long time to rinse off in the shower. The unit has two doors, one being in the bedroom. They need to have a better seal around them as they let a lot of the hallway light in while trying to sleep. It is a dated unit, with the toilets being really low and counters were low as well. I'd say it was a little over priced for what we got.

I am sorry to hear that the condo fell short of your expectations.
Your suggestions and observations are appreciated and taken seriously.
I have asked our maintenance staff to work on improving the door seals, and order a new vanity and toilet for the bathroom.
Thank you for staying with us!

Overall, we had a great stay at Fawn Valley. The location has 360* views of the mountains which can’t be beat. Our kids enjoyed the heated pool and it was never overly crowded. The condo was comfy and provided a nice place to relax after days of walking around downtown Estes Park, swimming in the pool, and our most strenuous day at Rocky Mountain National Park. It’s very conveniently located just a mile from the entrance. The only items we would like to note so they can be addressed by management to make the stay even better for the next guests, and the reasons for a 4 star review instead of 5:
- the shower in the bathroom off the bedroom is not working properly. The temperature of the water could not be controlled, going between flashes of excruciatingly hot water to instantly unbearably freezing. We only used it once each (to make sure it wasn’t a user error) and then we switched to using the shower in the other bathroom. Someone could be injured by the scalding water.
- the oven doesn’t get up to temperature and took a long time to cook food, no potholders
- there is no screen door on the patio door so to be able to hear the river you have to keep the door open with no screen. We ended up with some flying bugs inside because of this.
- the picture of the unit shows a wood burning stove. We may or may not have used it since it’s summer, but cool at night, and it’s not in the unit at all. Pictures of listing and the VRBO listing itself need to be updated.

It is great to hear that your condo was comfy, relaxing and overall a great place to stay.
We appreciate your feedback, and take all the information you provided very seriously. We will have maintenance look at the shower water temp right away! We will also address the oven, and screen door ASAP.
We hope you have an opportunity to come back and stay again in the future.
Location was what we wanted - close to the Fall River Entrance. Kitchen equipment was a bit sparse but worked fine for breakfast and lunch.
Staff was helpful and friendly.
