Unfortunately, the Bethells Beach Community has long suffered from poor internet speeds. Although we have all tried to improve the situation, the providers deem the area as not very important. This may be due to the low population density which in turn makes this one of the best places to stay around Auckland :) Speeds range between 1Mbps to 8 Mbps pending the time of day. We are really pleased you enjoyed the peaceful setting, the comfort of the beds and the overall feel of the house. It sounds like you made the most of the surroundings, and Kitekite Falls is indeed a fantastic walk. Regarding the internet, we appreciate you raising this. We have since upgraded the property to Starlink with a dedicated local network, and it now consistently delivers around 100 Mbps, even in our remote bush location. This has made a significant improvement for guests who need reliable connectivity. Thank you also for your understanding about the driveway access. Dear Renata, Thank you for leaving some constructive feedback here. We have taken your comments to heart and would like to respond as follows, INTERNET We have had a rather slow internet connection there as previously no faster connection was available. A local operator has emerged and offered to install a local broadcast internet connection. We have taken up that offer and had this installed last week. We are pleased to advise that Internet is now at the house with reasonable speeds in the range of 10-20 Mbps enabling to work and watch movies at the property. Neighbour The neighbour is not sharing the same roof but does live next door. He is usually very friendly and is visually and physically separate from the house. We will investigate what has happened here as he has the property managers contact. The manager lives nearby and could have resolved this quickly. Please accept our apologies in this regard. Update: We have now investigated this and it appears that you had a few guests with beers arriving late at night. Our property manager found that by 11pm things were reasonable. However, by 2-3 am in the morning, noise levels were very loud and the neighbour was unable to sleep. This was the reason you were asked to reduce volume levels in line with our terms not to have parties at the property. We find this fair enough. DRIVEWAY We have had an incident where a guest caused significant damages due to using the driveway. We have decided to close the driveway therefore but to allow people to drop their gears. The driveway is hard to manoeuvre and there is plentiful parking at the top. The driveway is about 50m long and yes very steep. In the future, we recommend to ask for assistance to be allowed to drop belongings by car at the house. The restrictions are simply to avoid further damages. The driveway is concrete with a very good surface for any vehicle. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the pristine environment and decorations of the house. Best Regards Your Wendekreisen Team

Hello Amanda Thank you very much for your review. We are glad that you had a great time. Regarding mobile phone reception, this is the downside of being in pristine native bush with hills away from the big smoke. On nice days the house has a 1-2 bar reception at times. Thank you so much for the constructive feedback. We have advised our house manager to purchase 4 X oil heaters to be place in each of the bedrooms. These will be additional to the 2 X heatpumps (1 X upstairs and 1X downstairs). We are asking people not to use the fire due to risks associated with smoke and fire.
