About this property
Great for Family, Private Getaway, Accommodation for Local Events.
This holiday home has the peace and quiet of Muriwai Valley, and yet is an easy distance from a vast range of activities.
Return from your adventures to sit on the large deck to relax and enjoy the serenity of the country, with sounds of birdlife, the evening sunset, and cows that graze in the nearby paddocks.
Indoors there is TV, a guitar to play, or tackle a game of Chess. There are games for the children and toys for the little ones.
When you feel like exploring it's only 8 Minutes drive to the famous black sands of Muriwai Beach, popular for it's wonderful surf, Golf Club and Gannet Colony.
Take a walk along the west coast walkway or enjoy a horse-trek along the vast spetacular Coastline. There is also 4wheel drive access up one end of the beach, permit required.
Fishing from the rocks or exploring the cave is popular when the tide and conditions are right.
The Sand Dunz cafe is well known for its great food.
Further afield by about 20 minutes Woodhill forest offers paintball, tree adventures and the Mountain Bike Park.
Other attractions are Parakai Hot Pools, and Historic Helensville.
Heading South in the other direction, a day out shopping in Auckland City is not that far, or check out the closer new Norwest Mall a 25 minute drive away.
Locally, you will find a supermarket , cafes, takeaway shop, Thai restaurant and more, in the Waimauku Village, just five minutes from your holiday retreat.
If you wish to dine at home you will find that the kitchen is well equipped for you to create your own meals.
For those who are looking to stay at a Motel but cannot locate one, there is an option of staying one night only by arrangement.
Special conditions:
We ask that smokers go outdoors to smoke.
Families are welcome. There is a low deck without rails, but it has not been a problem in the past.
