The Strathearn Residence. Situated in lovely, leafy Marchmont, this tranquil apartment is ideal for your next visit to Edinburgh. Sleeping up to six guests in three double bedrooms, this delightful Victorian property benefits from original features and generous proportions and super fast broadband. Close to local shops and great restaurants, bars and take aways, Marchmont is one of the safest and most convenient locations in Edinburgh. Bus stops to all areas of Edinburgh are on your doorstep.
Sit back and relax in the large living room, bathed in light from the glorious Victorian bay windows with views over the Pentland Hills. A smart TV with soundbar, DVD player and WiFi can provide some light entertainment, while the original features such as ceiling cornicing and fireplace add a bit of traditional charm.

The large kitchen and dining room is light and airy and very well equipped, perfect for self-catering whether you fancy a quick breakfast before a day’s exploration, or a fully-fledged dining extravaganza. A small utility cupboard houses the washing machine and dish washer, and the main kitchen area has all of the other usual mod-cons, including a Nespresso machine.

All bed linen, towels. toilet rolls and kitchen linen are provided for the duration of your stay.

A selection of games books and DVDs are available for entertainment.

Long Weekend in Edinburgh

Spacious 3 bed tennement flat giving great views over Edinburgh. Large clean bedrooms, comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen. Took about 17 minutes to walk to the city centre across the park but also on a good bus route. Not suitable for anyone that would struggle with steps, my youngest daughter counted 66 steps. More exercise than she has had all summer. Lovely stay. Judith very easy to contact and gave helpful local information about getting around the city.

Born and brought up in the South of England my husband and I have moved around Europe for the past 10 years with our three children. We bought Strathearn Road as we are planning to move back to the United Kingdom in the next few years and wanted a base to visit our children who are now at University in England and Scotland. We currently live in Switzerland and Scotland, but love to travel to France and Spain regularly.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Edinburgh after visiting our eldest daughter at University and loved the laid back cosmopolitan area of Marchmont where the flat is located.

What makes this property unique

The huge spacious rooms and far reaching views made us fall in love with this character property. The convenient public transport links and fantastic local shops, pubs and restaurants make this lovely apartment a perfect location for visiting Edinburgh.
