Whether you are after a romantic weekend getaway in a very special location, a mid week break to recharge your batteries or a family holiday in spacious beachside accommodation, Wategos ticks all the boxes and is one of Australia's finest and most exclusive holiday destinations. Nestled on the northern side of the Byron Bay headlands, this forest bay is protected from the rougher waters beyond and the waves offer leisurely rides and plenty of shallow areas for the kids. Wategos is not only the epitome of a family beach but also one of Byron's best picnic spots. And if a picnic sounds like too much effort, why not drop in at Rae's and enjoy their lunches or dinners and rub shoulders with the stars
This double storied property welcomes you into a living and dining area overlooking a spacious courtyard where glimpses of the ocean can be seen. A well appointed galley style kitchen is adjacent to the living room and overlooks the courtyard which incorporates a covered outdoor dining area and BBQ. The courtyard provides additional room for relaxing in the banana lounge.
Sharing the downstairs area is the second bedroom, which is arranged as a twin room or king bedroom if requested in advance. There is also a shared bathroom-laundry with separate toilet. Off the bathroom is a small, outdoor private courtyard with a shower. Sleeping 4 people and ideal for two couples or a small family.
On the second level is a lounge area with sofa and chairs, perfect for relaxing with a book or watching TV. The enclosed TV cabinet can be utilised as a work desk with NBN internet.
This floor also has the master bedroom with a king bed and ensuite bathroom. Off the bedroom is a balcony providing an area for a private drink while enjoying ocean views. The second level is serviced by a small kitchenette with a bar fridge.
This property has ample secure parking in a large underbuilding garage. The garage entrance is 2.1 metres high.
This property is only a minutes walk from the north facing Wategos Beach and a short drive or 20 minute walk into the town centre. Here you will find a variety of eateries, unique shopping and boutiques and adventurous beach activity opportunities.
Please note a security bond is required. We have a strict no party policy. This property is fully self-contained and is not serviced. You will need to bring your own amenities, beach towels and food. For cot hire, high chairs or extra linen please contact Byron Bay Holiday Hire.
