My wife and I stayed for 5 nights at the end of August. Place was great! Loved the easy access to the sound for our kayaks, the outdoor shower, and it being pet friendly!
The cottage was really cute and comfortable. I wish we had better weather as the kayaks would have been wonderful to use, especially with direct access to the water. I would love to visit again!
Moot Point is in a great area of Ipswich, easy access to anything you want. We were looking for time away from the city. We got beautiful sunsets, so many choices of hikes & amazing seafood. The cottage is well laid out, comfortable & very clean.
We spent a week at this cottage over Halloween weekend and didn't want to leave. The location in Ipswich is ideal, with the salt air, the quiet, and the water right there. Fall at the coast is magical. The water views were stunning, especially at sunset. We spent more than one evening watching the sky change colors over the water, and it never got old.The highlight for us was digging for clams with our son. He had the time of his life, and it's a memory our family will treasure. It's hard to find a place that makes a trip feel like that, and this one did.The cottage was comfortable, cozy, and exactly as described. Communication with the owners was easy, and it was clear they take pride in their home. We felt welcome from start to finish. We'd happily return and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, memorable stay on the North Shore. Thank you for sharing your special place with us!
This charming beach house is beautifully appointed—especially the deck and the views. It was spotless and cozy and a very comfortable base for the four of us and our retriever to explore the area from. We’re very grateful to Denise for her clear and prompt communication…we hope to return!
This was our second stay in this lovely cottage. The views from the main bedroom as well as the living room are spectacular and ever changing. Watching the tide roll in and out, seabirds coming and going as well as wind surfers and clam diggers was restful and interesting. Ipswich is so close to other small coastal towns that it is very convenient to go exploring and not have to spend all day in the car. We enjoyed Russell’s Orchard (twice!) for cider donuts, Northern Lights Farmstand for the freshest produce, cut your own flowers and the cutest donkeys you’ve ever seen. Ipswich Seafood has fresh caught cod and haddock at great prices. Antique stores in Ipswich and Essex were fun to explore as well. We’ve already booked a return for next fall! Denise makes the process of booking and checking in very easy and she is easy to reach via email and responds quickly.
For Seniors, only 3 steps to deck area for entry into the home and everything is on one floor-great! Rear deck area is sufficient and nice view and wonderful sunsets.
Great location with beautiful sunsets, tidal flats and bird watching.. a nature lovers dream!
Lovely cozy cottage with all the amenities!
Relaxing location in a fascinating, historic area with awesome seafood!
Perfect little cottage for my husband and I and our two dogs. Lots of day trips to see the sites and walk the dogs. Denise is a great host and easy to communicate with.
Loved our stay, would definitely recommend!
My husband and i along with our dog Max have traveled from Wisconsin. The cottage was very clean and beautiful! We truly enjoyed our stay at Moot Point and if we travel that way again, we wilo definitely be staying there! Thank you for making our trip perfect!
Denise is a fabulous host. We didn’t need for anything. We just relaxed -so special. Got to spend time with family. This is our second time so so great meets everybody’s needs!
Ipswich is a great place to stay especially at the home Moot Point which is located directly on the water. It also has access to a beach just a few minutes away. There are amazing views from the deck and lots of bird watching. The home is comfortable too.
