I can’t say enough how much we loved staying here. The house was amazing. It was very well stocked with everything we needed. The setting was breathtaking with the views of the lake and the mountains. The owner was very responsive with all our needs. I hope to stay here again someday.
The cabin was quaint and our 2 families of 5 really enjoyed this. We were able to easily go to Yellowstone and Idaho and enjoy nature. A grocery store was within 10 miles so we were able to cook and save money. Would go back.
Views are amazing and plenty of beds. Kids enjoyed the loft area which has 3 beds. House was clean and very spacious.

It was a house
It was a house so it gets a star for that. It gets another star for being clean and generally tolerable. The description said it had 3 beds in the loft there were 2 so we were missing sleeping accommodations for 2 people. The fridge was completely broken and led to food spoiling. The water heater couldn't even last for 2 showers. The description also said there were 2 grills there was only one.

Hi April, we appreciate you sharing your thoughts and are glad the cleanliness of the home met your expectations. We’ve followed up with the homeowner about your feedback, and they want to share the following:
- We apologize for your inconvenience with the fridge. Had we been notified during your stay that you were having problems with the fridge, we would have immediately addressed the issue. A subsequent guest notified us of the issue, and we promptly replaced the fridge.
- One of the three loft beds was removed to create more space in the loft as requested by prior guests. The home still sleeps the listed max occupancy of 12.
- We regularly host large groups at the cabin and have never had hot water issues, so we are sorry this was a challenge for your group.
We’ve confirmed the listing only shows one grill and apologize if there was confusion regarding the number of grills.
Thanks for your feedback—it helps us enhance the experience for future guests.
We stayed at the Island Park home during our visit to Yellowstone. We enjoyed our stay. Staying here you will be about 20 minutes from the park entrance at West Yellowstone, so location was good for us as we prefer to be away from the hustle and bustle. Here are some of the pros and cons we found with this property.
Pros:
Location had great views and was quiet.
Interior was very clean, with plenty of TP and towels and bathrooms and kitchen were very nice.
Kitchen was very well stocked with quality appliances, utensils, dishes, pots and pans.
Home is deceptively spacious, with a complete basement, so everyone can have their space.
Bathrooms were clean and showers were great.
Two sets of washer/dryers is a plus.
Cons:
Home does not give you a great first impression, with an untidy yard and filthy, broken grills on the patio. Decking that goes around the home was very dirty when we arrived. Inside home was very clean (5 stars), but outside is neglected (1 star).
Family room is beat up and walls are all chipped. Needs a coat of paint badly.
No air conditioning!! This was not a problem on day 2 and day 3 for us, as temps were cool. But we arrived and temp was over 90 outside and mid 80's inside. Needless to say, we couldn't sleep the first night due to the heat. After that, temps dropped and we were comfortable. But if you come in the summer, be aware that there is no air conditioning in this home.
Refrigerator works fine, but all the drawers and door holders are broken inside.
Other considerations:
Home is far from any store, so be sure to get your groceries before you arrive. Nearest gas station (+/- 10miles) has a store but is only open from 9am-6pm. Gas pumps are open, but store closes.

Cute Mountain Home
The property was great. There were a few items that were broken and not working. It doesn’t have air conditioning but with the cool nights we were able to sleep just fine. Check in process was horrible. I messaged the owner several times days before our arrival and the day of our arrival without any response. After we had fortunately found a key, I then received an email from the owners but with the spotty service and internet didn’t get it until after we had found a hidden key.
No problems here! Everything worked wonderfully for our stay. Great location and accommodations were just fine. This worked well for 3 couples, we each had our own bath. All was clean and comfortable

Would stay again
Great place. Owner was very easy to work with. Gorgeous views of mountains and Henry Lake.
Smoke alarms activated in middle of night. We searched, and found no flame or cause. Could have been upstairs bath baseboard heater, that wouldn’t turn off until we realized the knob is mismarked. You have to turn it all the way left to turn it off. Smoke alarms could have sounded because one of them needs a replacement sensor (?). We’re zombies today from lack of sleep. Also, there’s a small, continuous water leak in the upstairs bathroom toilet water supply tubing.
There were 9 people in our group from the ages of 19 years old to 50 years old. We all loved the property. It was a breathtaking view, and our favorite part of the morning was drinking our coffee on the front deck.
The house is very cozy and location is close to Yellowstone west gate . The basic material supply for rental unit need to improve .
Example :
_ Dishwasher soap
_ Gloves
_ Strainer, colander
_Paper towels
_ Bathmat
_ Scissor.
Besides these ,we have a wonderful time here. Thanks Alan.
