Welcome to Kemankeag
A place for family.
Kemankeag is an historic lakeside camp located in the western mountains of Maine on the shore of beautiful, pristine Rangeley lake.
Kemankeag has 7 cottages and 18 bedrooms. A true family compound in old-school style, this camp easily sleeps 34+ in rustic comfort.
4 large cottages and 3 small intimate cottages with 2 kitchens, 3 living rooms, allow for large families to be together, yet still have plenty of space and privacy.
Kemankeag enjoys a beautiful sunny southern exposure on the tip of Bonney Point. Steps from the cottages, two swimming docks offer expansive lake access. The kids will swim all day!
No granite counter tops, no stainless steel appliances, this camp retains the simple amenities that have served the family well for decades.
Kemankeag is offered as "the whole camp", sleeping 34+. Individual cottages are not available.
Virtual tour on YouTube.

About the host
Hosted by Jonathan Stein
Kemankeag is the vacation camp of a very large family and has grown over the last hundred years as the family grew. Starting as a "sport" fishing camp at the turn of the last century, houses and cottages were added as needed.
Kemankeag has never before been available to the public.

Why they chose this property
Kemankeag has been the private refuge of one family for 100 years. We are now able to share it with a few select families a year.
What makes this property unique
Kemankeag has space to spread out for a large family. With 6 cottages and 17 bedrooms, nobody feels crowded. We do not have large "bunk rooms".
