Adequate house for a family get together but very overpriced for location.
Pool was unusable on arrival and for a further 24 hours due to the filter having been turned off prior to our arrival. Cleaner was also most apologetic that the bins had not been emptied for over a week and would not be emptied until we departed. Not good for our group of 14 for 5 days! The house is situated right under the takeoff and landing approaches for Maroochydore Airport. The only way to get to the local beach is to cross the very busy David Low Way which has its challenges with small children. The “garden” is incredibly overgrown and full of palm tree debris and tree bark which creates a haven for mosquitoes. The downstairs kitchen has no dishwasher or microwave which required a lot of running up and downstairs to use the facilities upstairs. The downstairs bathroom is very impractical with an open shower area spraying water out onto all the floor and has no separate toilet for the large group using it. The downstairs laundry is equipped with a washing machine & 2 dryers but is in huge need of a makeover as it also houses the pump for the pool. On the plus side: there are plenty of comfortable lounges and great wraparound verandahs.Cannot confidently recommend this accommodation.

Nice place but some shortfalls.
An enjoyable stay, but overpriced for what is provided in my opinion. We stayed a week, 9 adults, 7 kids under 8 and 2 babies. No mention is made of the busy flight path directly overhead or the heavy traffic on the main road outside. Crossing the road to the beach, especially with kids, is dangerous due to traffic volume and a blind corner. The gate to the property to park cars did not work, so parking outside meant always juggling cars in a dead end road. There was no microwave or dishwasher downstairs which makes no sense with the kids bunk room downstairs. No dish rack available downstairs either. The top and bottom of the stairs didn't have a gate which would make it safer with young children. Two air conditioners didn't work with one dripping over some kids books, ruining them. The dishwasher upstairs had no instructions and all the controls were worn off. Additionally, there was no proper dishwasher tablets provided for the dishwasher and the powder provided didnt dissolve, or clean dishes. Only 4 rolls of toilet paper were provided for a week for 5 adults upstairs. Although the floors appeared to be clean, after walking around inside on the first day we all had very dirty feet, so it appears it hadn't been mopped properly. Having said that, house manager Sarah was terrific and helped out promptly every time we contacted her with requests to address some of the issues. Overall we enjoyed our time there but we were somewhat disappointed given the cost of the rental. We expected more for our money, or the rate should be reduced.

Looking at all of our reviews from this platform and others, your review is a standout.
We have many great reviews from many family groups that thougherly enjoyed there time at the house.
As a guest you were whinging and looking for a price reduction from the start. The property sleeps 16 people and is at a very competitive price point. I'm confident this is one of the many reason why you chose to stay with us, another being our great reviews.
We pandered to your every whim. Unfortunately guests like you will never be happy.

Best wishes, Sandy Toes and Salty Kisses
We had an amazing family gathering of three generations. There was plenty of space for spreading out and great facilities for coming together for meals, games etc. A short walk to the beautiful beach and swimming for those who chose. Highly recommend this venue.
My family and I enjoyed our stay at Marcoola Beach. Communication and check in was easy and Amber was very friendly and accommodating. The house is clean and spacious with all the basic amenities that we needed. The bathrooms are big and clean with lots of hot water, Nice big kitchen spaces to cook for a crowd. It was too cold to use the pool but it looked lovely. The traffic noise, both cars and planes, took a little getting used to and while the location was central to lots of great sites and close to the beach, you do need to cross a busy road and walk a short way down the street to get to the beach, so not quite beach-side as was suggested. Overall we enjoyed our stay, thank-you.
The property, Sandy Toes and Salty Kisses and it’s House Manager Amber are both priceless.
A Personalised message upon arrival was a thoughtful gesture which altered energies before we had even opened the front doors to this truly inspiring and beautifully thought out house which then allowed us to call it home for 6 days.
Photos don’t do it justice.
I’d buy it.
To be able to spend a long weekend together as 5 families after a Covid forced break was wonderful.
The house accommodated us well, we were able to self-cater and cook up a storm in the kitchen, play Uno, chat and catch up, go to the beach, eat and chat some more and relax.
The variety of decorative pieces and natural plants in and around the house made it like home for us.
The toddlers (2 x 2y/o, 1 x 4 y/o) enjoyed the cubby and space to ride their little trikes.
All in all - a most enjoyable and relaxing time was had by us all.
Thank you for providing such a lovely space to do so.
Everything you need is here at Sandy Toes & Salty Kisses! Beach & local shops all a short walk. Was very spacious for us & 3 other familys to all stay & would recommend to anyone!
Great double story beach house, has plenty of rooms and amenities for two groups/ families upstairs and downstairs.
Great use of place and gardens for a private yet open plan living area. The property manager was lovely and extremely quick to respond to any queries we had and left plenty of information on local activities which would make anyone unknown to the area feel like a local.
