About this property

Rangeley Lake Lodge - On Rangeley Lake with large lawn and walk in area

Rangeley Lake Lodge is a beautiful year-round NO SMOKING 4 BR & 2.5 bath house on 2 acres with 250' of lakefront on the eastern shore of Rangeley Lake. There is a gradual entry private 100' beach area, picnic table, chairs, fire pit, and a large lawn for outside games and fun. In the Winter, bring your own sleigh (or two) and sled down our hill in the back, and/or snowmobile from our house directly onto Rangeley Lake and beyond.

The property is within 3 minutes of the IGA supermarket, Loon Lodge, The Farmhouse, and the center of the town of Rangeley. Saddleback Ski Resort is an easy 10 minute drive & Sugarloaf Ski Mountain is a scenic 40 minute drive from our house. There are two very good & scenic golf courses (Mingo Springs GC & Evergreen GC) located within 10 minutes of our house, and the Sugarloaf Golf Course (a Robert Trent Jones Jr designed golf course Rated #1 in Maine) is a pleasant 40 minute drive. There's plenty of private driveway parking available outside our attached garage (interior garage parking is for Owners' storage only). 22 Lakeview Drive has incredible Southern, Western and Northern views of Rangeley Lake. Our large deck has Sun potential all day with its' Southern exposure, and the Sunsets are the most beautiful you'll experience in the Rangeley Lakes Region. The deck has a picnic table & chairs, & a seasonal propane gas BBQ. A large satellite TV (Direct TV), WIFI, and a fully equipped main floor kitchen make this a great home to relax, spread out, and still keep in touch with the outside world (if you so desire!).

NO PETS, however, one well-behaved dog might be allowed under certain circumstances & subject to Property Owners' approval. Please contact Morton & Furbish Vacation Rentals to inquire.

If you are renting a boat, there is a buoy in front of our waterfront beach. We also belong to the neighboring association ("HOLA") where you can pick up and drop off fellow renters at the association's permanent wood dock area within their harbor. Please do not tie up & leave your boat unattended at HOLA, and be aware of the SHALLOW DEPTHS when entering and leaving the cove. DO NOT pick up or drop-off @ the association's temporary aluminum dock. PONTOON Boats, due to their large size, are NOT ALLOWED in the HOLA Harbor. If you rent or bring your own boat, you can use the neighboring Association's boat ramp to launch into the lake & tie up 24/7 at our waterfront buoy.

Sleeping/living accommodations:

the main floor has a MBR with Queen bed and attached full bathroom with shower & bathtub. A clothes washer & clothes dryer are located in the bathroom of this Master bedroom. There are two couches (one is a pull out twin bed) in the LR, and there's a Powder room in the entry hall.
Carpeted stairs lead to the second floor (fully carpeted throughout the second floor) containing three bedrooms: one with two twin beds, and two other bedrooms with Queen beds in each. There's a full bathroom with shower/tub on the second floor. This Upper Level also has a small loft area with books for all and a few games and toys for children.
There's a fully equipped kitchen on the main floor including: refrigerator, new oven/stove, dishwasher/dryer, microwave, coffee maker, blender, dinnerware & glasses.
The dining area has a DR table that seats 8, and the adjoining living room has a working stone fireplace and beautiful views across Rangeley Lake.
There's a large wrap-around deck with gas grill (Available mid-May through mid-October), one small dining table, one picnic table with attached benches, and outdoor chairs.
Unfortunately the deck hot tub is not available for renters' use at this time (in need of repair).

Renters also have access to the above-mentioned HOLA waterfront association (approximately 100 yards away) for a deeper water swimming area with swim platform.

There are 2 kayaks for your enjoyment located at our beachfront. They are available from May through October. Please turn them over after each use.

There's a seasonal (May through October) fire pit at our beachfront. Fire wood can be found stacked outside the lower level doors. If no wood is available, please let Morton-Furbish know & I will arrange to have wood delivered (wood can also be purchased at the IGA supermarket).

In addition to the picnic table on our deck, there's one picnic table with attached benches at our beachfront.

Outdoor Games are encouraged (a corn hole game can be found in lower level), and there's easily enough room for baseball/softball/football/soccer fun. Tennis courts are located an easy 5 minute drive at the town's public beach area. We have two older, well-used adult rackets at the house for your use. We provide a few life jackets, but please bring your own life jackets if you think size might be an issue (especially for children).

Please, NO SMOKING anywhere inside the house.

Thank you very much for renting, be safe and ENJOY!

Location, location, location
Nice spot for our family. Deck area and the large lawn great spaces to watch the sunsets, play frisbee and have a fire. Easy access to launch the kayaks. Only drawbacks are for the price, would hope to have some more comfortable furniture in the "family" room and a few more seats too either there or in the open space on the second floor. The house could definitely use a dehumidifier. Another kayak too would be great as the house is large it would likely have several guests wanting to get out on the lake. We would certainly go there again if it fits our schedule in the future.

Great Family Vacation Spot
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fox Hollow Lodge. We had three generations under the roof and having all the different bedrooms and living spaces was really beneficial. The amenities were really nice - the house itself is very open, inviting, and comfortable. The only reason I'm not giving the place 5 stars is that the downstairs living room area is not furnished at all, so my daughter and her husband had to use camping chairs after they put my grandson down to sleep for the night. Some of the fixtures could use some updating, but for a week on the lake everything was great. Some of the outside space was really unusable because of all the goose droppings. There was a fence by the lakeshore, but the geese had figured out how to circumvent that and were all over the beautiful lawn. Needless to say, we couldn't bring our grandson or our little dog onto the lawn, which was disappointing. But again, for us it was okay. I would highly recommend this rental to large families.

5 Stars
The home was very spacious and accommodated our large family. There was only two items that we had an issue with. one was the gas grill which didn't work and the other was the jacuzzi which also didn't work. The team from the leasing agency did bring a replacement for the grill but that also didn't work. Overall it was a wonderful lake house and would recommend it to any large family.

Great location and awesome water frontage!
The Fox Hollow Lodge had an ideal location with just a 2 minute drive into town and being right on the water. The sprawling lawn and big deck set up for beautiful sunset views each night. The house was a little dated but nothing that hindered our experience -- it's really large and very comfortable. Highly recommend.
