About this property

Glamping in the heart of Valle Crucis. Private oasis

Location, location, location! Spend your time in the mountains in the heart of Valle Crucis. We have an awesome spot in the Valle and are walking distance to the Valle County Fair which takes place the 3rd Saturday in October. Cozy, new camper with all that you need. You will have Wifi, but patchy cellular service. We suggest you come and unplug!

The camper is one mile from the original Mast General Store, Valle Crucis Park, the Watauga River and many hikes including a waterfall. Located 8 miles from both Boone & Banner Elk. We are close to 3 ski resorts, Rocky Knob Bike Park (mountain biking), Blowing Rock and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

We upgraded the RV mattress/bed to a comfortable memory foam Pressure Relief Mattress. I clean with natural products and wash with scent-free detergent. You will have a gas grill and a fire pit. We supply a bundle of wood with the option to buy more for $5/bundle.

In addition to the HVAC unit, a fan and space heater are provided….because it’s the mountains, you never know what you’ll need!

Outstanding Experience!

This new camper is located near the home of the excellent hosts, and in a beautiful area within the high country where the August outdoor temps are delightful. My husband and I enjoyed cleanliness of the camper, the privacy of the location, the chirping of crickets in the evening with windows open, the lovely sunset views, a walk on the long graveled road beside the camper, and days spent roaming about Valle Crucis. We were mindful of social distancing and found this area, as well as this glamper, to fit perfectly. Thank you, Pete and Cheryl. And ear scratches to Kaia, the black lab.

Mountain getaway

Easy to follow driving instructions and check in/out. Trailer is clean and comfortable and is located in a beautiful quiet location about 18 minutes from Boone. The trailer is stocked with everything you need to enjoy your stay plus a few extra touches.

The only way to "camp" at a great location!

We had a wonderful stay at Valle View Camp. The owners have made their "glamping" experience very user-friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed the camping without all of the set-up! Enjoyed a beautiful sunset over the mountains from the comfy adirondack chairs one evening, while we enjoyed cozy dining under the awning in the midst of a cool mountain rain another night. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property!

We are a young 50-something couple. We both like to camp, hike and fish. Pete has lived in Valle Crucis for almost 30 years and knows a lot about the area. Cheryl moved here from Brooklyn, so enjoys being lost in the woods :) We both own small businesses. We have unset schedules and hobbies that keep us busy. Cheryl loves to travel and has stayed at some of the finest resorts as a hospitality photographer. Her current favorite destinations are Argentina (Buenos Aires and Bariloche) and Indonesia (Bali and Senggigi Beach in Lombok). Pete’s favorite place to visit is British Columbia. We live on the property with our 5-year-old black lab, Kaya.

Why they chose this property

This property provides a very private camping experience. There is excellent star gazing in a quiet setting.

What makes this property unique

Outdoor shower for when you have a really funny dirty day in the mountains. Two firepits and a bonsai garden are on the property.
